Our Kitty

Everyone was sitting in the living room now, with the Cat-hybrid sitting along with them. Taehyun was having a big existential crisis. These four people don't seem dangerous, but Soobin, he's scared of him. He stuck to Kai's side the whole time they were sitting.

The four of them were talking about him, he knew that. But his head was too dizzy and mind too foggy to figure out anything. He felt his eyelids drooping, when he heard Beomgyu's voice.

"Kitty? Are you listening?"

Taehyun jolted awake at the mention of his name. He was being talked to, and he didn't pay attention, he made a mistake, he's gonna be punished now. How did he dare to fall asleep when he was supposed to pay attention?

"Hey hey, calm down Kitty, what happened?"
Taehyun felt two warm hands holding his own shaking ones, and just then he realised there were tears in his eyes and he was biting his lips.

The other three hybrids looked at the Omega in worry, wondering what made him cry out of nowhere.

"Kitty don't be scared, Beomgyu hyung was just asking if you heard what we asked you." Kai said softly, holding the shaking boy's hands, trying to understand what made him act like this.

The smaller boy nodded at his words, calming down slowly. The flashbacks were crazy for him, the fear of making a mistake and being punished for it was his worst nightmare. He didn't want to upset them, but that's exactly what he did.

"Kitty, leave that. Are you hungry?" Yeonjun asked from across the couch, keeping his voice soft and gentle.

Hearing about food made Taehyun's ears perk up. It's been days since he last ate something that actually counts as food. The idea of eating something made his stomach grumble. He instantly nodded his head to that.

"Okay. Beomie can you grab some snacks from the kitchen?" Yeonjun asked Beomgyu and he happily accomplied.

He came back with some cookies and crackers in his hands, and presented a cookie infront of Taehyun.

He immidiately took it and and ate it as fast as possible, his survival instincts kicking in. Who knows when will he get to taste these again?

"Woah woah slow down Kitty, the food isn't going anywhere." Beomgyu said with a chuckle upon seeing how quick the Omega was gobbling up the cookies.

"I think he's really hungry. Maybe we should make some actual food for him." Soobin said from the side. The Cat-hybrid seemed vary of Soobin, so he stayed at side. Well it was his own mistake, he has to win the trust of the little Omega here now.

"You're right. Maybe I should cook some soup for him." Yeonjun mumbled.

"Yeah your soup tastes the best!" Kai said smiling brightly. He really was a puppy.

"Okay okay, thanks Baby." Yeonjun said affectionately petting Kai's hair, to which Kai kissed Yeonjun's hands.

Seeing their loving interactions, Taehyun thought if he was being a nuisance in their house. Seeing love so pure and easy, it was new to him. Was love supposed to be like this? Soft and warm? Not yelling, screaming and sex? Because that's what Taehyun has known all his life from his father.

"Kitty, you need to change your clothes." Kai's words brought Taehyun out of his thoughts once again and he looked up at the boy and tilted his head.

"I think Beomgyu's hyung's old clothes would fit you. You're not really very large or healthy right now." Kai mumbled.

[Note: Taehyun is the youngest in this story and his age is 17. Kai is 19, Beom is 20 and both Soob and Jun are 22]

Taehyun looked at Kai, then Beomgyu then back at Kai. He saw Beomgyu get up and go upstairs, and coming back with some clothes in his hands.

"Here, change into them." Beomgyu said handing Taehyun a Pastel Purple hoodie and a pair of White shorts.

Taehyun held the clothes in his hands and stared at it. The clothes were clean and had a faint smell of the Beta, honey and Lavender. He kept staring at the clothes, wondering if he's allowed to take it. Is he worth of having this? Clean and fresh clothes, which was meant for him? The last time he wore a clean cloth, he can't remember it. Getting to shower was a privilege even, unless you consider getting dipped/drowned in cold water as a shower. Just the memory of it makes him shudder.

"Kitty, go ahead and change. What are you thinking? Do you not like the clothes?" Beomgyu asked softly, and the soft tone used for him made him want to let out cries. He wasn't used to be treated with such kindness. Why were these people so kind to him? He wanted to speak and answer back, but he couldn't, so he kept his mouth shut and just nodded his head as "no" and went inside one of the rooms to change.

He pulled his dirty, torn hoodie over his head to reveal his lean and skinny body covered in scars, all over his back, hips and arms. He quickly put on the clothes Beomgyu gave him and came outside.

"Aww you look cute in Beomgyu hyung's clothes Kitty." Kai said cooing at the smaller boy and the boy just blushed in return. It's been a long time since someone complimented him. He can't even remember when was the last time he felt so much kindness and warmth from someone.

After that, Kai took Taehyun to his and Beomgyu's shared room and placed him on the bed. Soobin had tried to approach the Cat-hybrid but he refused to get close to him. Soobin sighed and gave up for now.

"Kitty, you should sleep until Dinner is ready. One of us will wake you up okay? Don't be scared." Kai said in his gentle voice which never failed to make Taehyun calm.

Taehyun was scared to sleep on the bed. Was he allowed to sleep here? The bed wasn't for him. Back home, his father beat him up when he accidentally slept on his bed once. After that he either slept on the dusty living room couch or worse, on the cold floor with nothing but a blanket. So, is he really supposed to sleep in a bed?

He looked up at Kai, to find him looking back at him.
"Sleep Kitty, Don't worry I'll wake you up before Dinner." Kai said smiling, and Taehyun thought, maybe, just today he can. Maybe he deserves to sleep on the bed, just for today.

He nodded at the Alpha and laid down, the soft mattress touching his back and the fluffy blanket which smelled like a mix of Cinnamon, honey and Chocolate enveloped him fully. He felt so comfortable, so safe, like nothing could hurt him. He let out a happy noise in return and Kai giggled at that.

He left the room after Taehyun got under the cover and went downstairs to see what his boyfriends were doing.

He checked up on Yeonjun's and Soobin's room to see Soobin was working on some papers. As expected, their pack Alpha was always so hard-working and responsible. It made Kai admire him and fall for him so much more. He made his way towards the kitchen to see Yeonjun and Beomgyu bickering as always.

"Beomgyu you better get out of the Kitchen, I don't want you to burn down the Kitchen today!!" Yeonjun groaned and Beomgyu as usual laughing and doing stupid things to annoy Yeonjun.

Kai smiled at the sight. It was always so endearing to see his boyfriends like this. He wondered how it would feel like to see the Cat-hybrid here along with them. He would probably looked around with his big curious eyes and nod on certain things. He can imagine a future with them, with his pack all together living happily just like they are right now. He just hopes everything with the Cat-hybrid goes well.

Now everyone was present on the Dining table for dinner except Taehyun.
"I'll go wake him up." Beomgyu volunteered and everyone nodded.

He walked upstairs to find the Cat-hybrid sleeping peacefully under the covers. He looked super adorable and Beomgyu felt the need to protect this small adorable boy.

"Kitty, wake up. Dinner is ready." Beomgyu gently shook the Cat-hybrid, and Taehyun immediately jolted awake, being sensitive to noises and touches. He looked around, ready to be alert but his eyes relaxed once he met Beomgyu's warm brown ones.

"Come with me, Yeonjun hyung cooked for us." He said smiling and Taehyun silently got down, nodding his head. Beomgyu smiled at that. The hybrid wasn't acting so scared and was trusting him. That was a min.

Taehyun followed Beomgyu, walking downstairs quietly. He was still hyper-aware of the situation, keeping enough distance from Beomgyu to not accidentally bump into him. He followed him like a little kid and soon he saw the other three waiting for him in the kitchen, sitting on the dining table.

Suddenly he started feeling overwhelmed, having all eyes on him. Why was everyone looking at him? Did he do something wrong? Did he upset them with their appearance? Should he just go back?

"Kitty, come sit here." He was once again pulled out of his negative thoughts from Yeonjun's words. He looked up at the older Omega, who was looking at him smiling. The older Omega seemed so differet...from what he knew Omegas to be.

Everyone here, even the Alphas seem to respect him. The oldest carried himself like a strong and independent Omega, which was very awesome to Taehyun. He never imagined Omegas were respected too, but seeing Yeonjun, he thought maybe here, statuses don't matter much.

What will be his fate? Will they find him disgusting once they get to know he's not an impressive omega like Yeonjun and he's already tainted? Will they start treating him like others do? Just thinking about it makes his heart ache.

"Kitty? Is something wrong? Why are you standing there? Come sit." Kai came down from his chair and stretched his hands to see if the Cat-hybrid would refuse it. When he didn't jerk back or give a reaction, he gently held his wrist, pulling him towards the table where the others were seated.

Taehyun was still not sure if he deserved all this kindness. The delicious smell of the food made his stomach growl, and he blushed in embarrassment.

"You're hungry huh? Eat up little Kitty~" Beomgyu said with a chuckle and Soobin passed Taehyun his soup bowl.

There were pieces of Chicken, vegetables and some other things Taehyun had no idea about. He looked at the others to see if they were eating or not. When Soobin took his first bite, he started eating after that. He wasn't allowed to eat first, so it was a habit by now.

As he tasted the soup, his eyes widened in delight. This was the most delicious thing he had tasted in a long time. He quickly started eating and filling his tummy, but his ears perked up when he saw something.

Kai was eating grilled fish. Taehyun loved the smell of it, and he didn't realise he was staring at it until Kai pointed it out.

"Do you want to eat Fish Kitty? Do you like Fish?" Kai asked, smiling.

Taehyun nodded enthusiastically, his fluffy cat ears moving in all directions. Yeonjun chuckled at that and Served some grilled fish for him too.

"Here, some for you too." Yeonjun said passing the plate to Taehyun and he immediately took a bite, making happy noises which made even Soobin giggle.

"You like it that much huh?" Soobin asked with a fond smile. He had no idea why he felt so fond of the Cat-hybrid, but seeing him happy like this made him want to make him happy.

Taehyun just nodded, finishing the fish in no time. Being a cat-hybrid, he really loved the Fish. The last time he ate fish was on Christmas when his father brought leftovers, which was years ago.

After eating all these delicious foods, Taehyun was full and happy. He wanted to show his gratitude by speaking, but he was still unable to say anything. It frustrated him so much, but he couldn't do anything, so he just tugged on Yeonjun's sleeve when he was cleaning the table.

"What is it Kitty?" Yeonjun asked, as he felt the younger Omega tugging on his sleeves.

He expected anything, but not this. The Cat-hybrid hugged him out of nowhere. It made Yeonjun gasp in surprise. The Omega was very scared and jumped from any physical contact, but he was Hugging him himself?

"Are you okay Kitty?" Yeonjun asked, worried if the Omega felt unsafe here, but he was answered with a no nod. He used his brain, and came to the conclusion that maybe he wanted to hug him for comfort or maybe he was thanking him for food?

"Are you thanking me Kitty?" He asked the Omega softly, smiling and got a nod in return.

"You're welcome little one, you can eat as much as you want. I can cook for you anytime." Yeonjun said, patting the Younger Omega's head and Taehyun smiled in response. He felt quite comfortable with Yeonjun. Maybe because he was also an Omega or maybe because Yeonjun was so kind to him from the start. He has no idea, but this man's embrace was so comfortable.

Yeonjun also understood Taehyun's feelings as a fellow Omega. He almost figured it out by now that Taehyun didn't grow up in a loving household. That was for sure. He was jumpy, always lost in thoughts and refused to be taken care of at first. Something was wrong with him, and it made him want to protect and show him love more. He knew this world was a cruel place for Omegas. He will never forget his own days, before he met this amazing pack.

"I'll keep you safe Kitty, this pack will." Yeonjun mumbled, caressing the younger's head who just nuzzled into his embrace, breathing his soft Cherry and Lemon scent.

Taehyun might have found a comfort place now. In the Arms of this man, in this house which was starting to feel safe rather than danger.
