Flowers, they were Beomgyu's favourite. He loved flowers of every kind. He liked how you can convey messages with flowers you can't with your lips. With their colorful and beautiful blooms, flowers are often seen as symbols of joy and pleasure. However, different types and colors of flowers bring unique meanings. Some flowers are seen as symbols of friendship and purity, while others are tied to forgiveness and death.

Many people might not care about Flowers and their meanings, but Beomgyu was always curious about them. Afterall he loved flowers.

So, when Choi Soobin got to know his crush likes flowers...he decided to give him some anonymously.

You see, Soobin and Beomgyu are in the same Class. Soobin thinks he doesn't exists to Beomgyu, because they have been in the same class for 3 years. But Beomgyu has never even glanced at him. Not a single look.
"If only he noticed me."
He's pining over the boy for almost 2 years now. He's a fool in love.

He first saw Beomgyu in a flower shop. He went there to buy some flowers because his mom asked him to. And there he saw Beomgyu, talking to the florist.
"Isn't that the quiet guy from our class?"
He mumbled to himself, trying to listen what the other boy was speaking. He had a bright smile plastered on his face, his hands moving in an excited gesture. His eyes were shining like there were stars in it. He has never seen him being this talkative ever.

Soobin got curious about him that day, and ever since that day...he started coming to the flower shop on a daily basis, just to get a glance of the smiling boy.

Now that he noticed Beomgyu, he was a little shorter than him. His dark-brown hair reaching down his ear, a bit above his shoulders. His hair looked so soft, he wondered how it will feel to run his hands through them. Beomgyu's Aura was spellbinding to Soobin. He was mesmerized the first day he saw that beautiful smile on his face... and he realised he's screwed for lifetime now.

That's how he met the love of his life, Choi Beomgyu.

Even after 2 years, Soobin still finds himself going to the flower shop every day, even though Beomgyu doesn't visits it anymore. Guess Soobin also developed a liking for Flowers because of the shorter guy.

[In present time]
Soobin decided to take a step and gift his crush flowers.
He finally got the courage and stopped being a coward, after countless requests and Nagging from the flower shop's worker Kai, who started working there a year ago.

"Hyung! If you don't take a chance now, someone else will. For fuck's sake you have been in love with that guy ages. Stop being a coward." Kai said, while watering the flowers, already sick of listening to Soobin gushing over how cute Beomgyu is or how he looks like an angel when he smiles.

"But w-what if h-he rejects me? W-what if he h-hates me a-after looking at m-me" Soobin said anxious. The fear of rejection seemed bad enough.

"I swear to fuckin god this guy- HYUNG why would he hate you for your looks? Are you blind? Don't you see the girls and guys gushing over how fine you are? To be honest if I didn't have Taehyunnie i would have a crush on you too. Please stop being a coward and take some action." Kai said frustrated with Soobin's antics. He was such a dumbass.

"Okay okay! But I'll do it anonymously, he can't know about me yet!" Soobin said, already thinking of a plan.

And that's how he was here, in front of Beomgyu's locker with a handwritten note and a Gardenia flower. Gardenia represents "Secret Love" and that's what Soobin had for Beomgyu. He thought it was best to give him for now.
In the note he wrote- "I bought you Flowers. Hope this made you smile today :)"

After placing it inside Beomgyu's locker, he went back to his own locker which was some units behind Beomgyu's. He stood there waiting for Beomgyu, and when he saw the boy approaching his locker, his heart started beating like crazy. Thoughts started hitting in his head like big waves.
"What if he thinks I'm a creep? Oh god it was a bad idea wasn't it?"

His thoughts were proved wrong by the way.
When Beomgyu opened his locker...his face showed surprise...eyebrows knitted in confusion. But soon it morphed into a gentle smile as he gripped the note in his hands...the flower in the other.

Beomgyu looked around and Soobin moved around pretending to take out something from his own locker.
A blush crept on Soobin's face as the scene of Beomgyu's smile apperared infront of him. He was feeling overjoyed...afterall he saw his Crush smile, and this time..he was the reason of it. He's glad he decided to listen to Kai. He will treat the boy later for sure.

From now on, it became a routine for Soobin to keep small notes and different flowers in Beomgyu's locker everyday and watch him smiling from afar.
After 5 days, Beomgyu even started replying to his notes by leaving a note for him too.

Soobin couldn't be more happier. He actually had an interaction with the boy. Thanks to the flowers. Every day he comes to school with a chipper mood and smile dancing on his face. Today when he opened Beomgyu's locker after Beomgyu left...there was again a note left for him as usual.
The note said- "Who are you? I'm very grateful for you giving me flowers everyday from a month now. How did you knew i loved flowers? By the way White Roses are my favourite ^~^"

It was the longest note Soobin ever recieved. So Beomgyu wanted to know who he was? Soobin chuckled, feeling delighted. Maybe it's the right time to reveal himself? Tomorrow will be the 30th flower he will give to Beomgyu.

He actually has a great plan. From 29 days, he has been giving Beomgyu different flowers... each meaning different things, which were related to his love and affection for the other. Tomorrow he will Give him Red Roses, his final step of confession and reveal himself to Beomgyu.
He walks back home, happily thinking about his amazing plan.

Finally he's confessing.

Tomorrow came painfully slow according to Soobin. He couldn't sleep properly whole night, thinking about his confession. He was very nervous yet excited.

Finally the time was here. Soobin stood infront of his locker again, waiting for Beomgyu to come and open the locker. Excitement bubbling inside him.

But something un-expected happened. Beomgyu never came. Soobin stood there for hours, hoping Beomgyu would finally come, but he didn't. He never came. The red rose and the note stayed as it was... it's recipient not there to recieve it.

Soobin's whole mood was ruined. Why was Beomgyu absent? Maybe something happened. He will try again tomorrow. Beomgyu will come Tomorrow right? But it never happened. Everyday Soobin would keep a new fresh Red Rose in Beomgyu's locker hoping "today he will come for sure."

But that today never came. 2 weeks had passed now and no sign on Beomgyu in school. Soobin was getting anxious. Did something happen to Beomgyu? Is he sick?
He was contemplating if he should go to Beomgyu's house and ask his older brother Yeonjun about him. Yes he knew where Beomgyu lived. How? He was once passing near that road, when he saw Beomgyu walking out of his house. That's how he knew where Beomgyu lived.

After taking Suggestion from Kai, he finally decided to go to Beomgyu's house. It's now or never. He was now walking to Beomgyu's house with White Roses in his hands...he remembers Beomgyu wrote in his last note that he loves White Roses the most.

After walking a few minutes, he was now infront of Beomgyu's house. Gathering his courage, he pressed the doorbell. He waited for the door to open. His heart beating miles per second. His hands were sweating profusely in nervousness. Eyes down and hands gripping the flower bouquet tightly, he was afraid he will ruin them at this point.

After a good minute, the door finally opened, revealing Beomgyu's elder brother Yeonjun.
"Oh my god why is he looking like that?" Was the first thought which came inside his mind when he saw Yeonjun. The boy looked like he had been crying lately and the eye-bags said he hasn't slept in ages. His whole face was gloomy. What happened?

When Yeonjun didn't utter a word, Soobin decided to ask him himself.
"U-um, I'm Soobin... Beomgyu's classmate. Where is he?"
Yeonjun suddenly bursted in tears. Soobin was confused. Why did he start crying?

"Why are you crying....s-should i l-leave?"
Soobin aksed puzzled.

"N-no come inside...i h-have something for you Soobin."
Yeonjun said between his sobs, gesturing Soobin to come inside.
Soobin walked inside, following Yeonjun to the living room. Yeonjun told him to sit on the sofa, and he walked upstairs himself.
Soobin sat on the sofa confused. Why was Yeonjun being like this? Fear started rising inside him. Did something happen to Beomgyu?

Soon Yeonjun was back infront of him, handing him a letter. Soobin looked at it surprised. A letter for him?
Yeonjun gestured him to read it...so Soobin did as he was told.
The letter said-

To Soobin,

Hello Soobin, are you doing alright? I hope you are.
About me? Well I'm not doing fine...not at all. It's getting hard each day to stay awake. I just want to sleep.
I hope i will be able to sleep soon.
Oh and before i sleep, i have something to tell you.

Thankyou for giving me flowers everyday. I loved them. The flowers and your sweet little notes were the things which made me smile the most these days. I read them everyday and smile like an idiot.

Actually i know you visited that flower shop everyday. I saw you looking at me. Honestly at first i thought you're a creep. But i don't know when, i actually started to look forward to see you. You made me feel so happy that i forgot i had this pain.
I wanted to tell you this from a long time. But i know, it would break you later...as i know I'll be sleeping soon.

I think I'm already asleep by the time you're reading this letter. And my last note...i hope you found it. I want to see you before sleeping. But i don't think that's possible anymore.
And lastly the most important thing i wanted to tell you...
You're not alone Soobin, i̶ l̶i̶k̶e̶ y̶o̶u̶ t̶o̶o̶. I love you.
Thankyou Soobin for making me smile everyday. I'm sorry for not saying this earlier. Please forget about me Soobin. Goodbye. I hope I'll meet you again when i wake up in. Next life.

By the end of the letter, Soobin's cheeks were stained, vision blurred from the tears. How? Why? How could this happen to Beomgyu? He liked him all along. He knew he was the one sending him flowers. Why did Beomgyu do that? He must be in so much pain.
He's still in Disbelief...this can't happen right? It's just a joke right?

"H-hyung, it's a joke right? Where is gyu? WHERE IS HE?" Soobin yelled, tears falling from his eyes. He was a mess at this point.

"He he left us s-soobin. H-he's gone." Yeonjun replied looking down.

"How....why?" Soobin aksed him in a daze.

"He had Lukemia since childhood...he was fine at first but it got worse day by day. Two weeks ago, he got admitted to hospital. The doctors already gave up. It was his last stage. We begged them to do something...but no avail. Beomgyu knew it too. Last week...we lost him. He died last week on Sunday.
Soobin i want to thank you too for making my brother happy in his last moments. He actually loved you. I'm sorry Soobin."

Yeonjun explained...tears threatening to fall again.

While Soobin's whole world came crashing down. How could it happen to him. The smiling boy who was like an angel. His smile lighted up the whole room. Why- why him? He couldn't even confess to him.

"If only...if only i told him. Why didn't i listen to Kai. Why. I'm such a fool."
Soobin cried falling down. His heart hurts. This can't happen. Beomgyu loved him. But why do they have to go through this?
He didn't even get to tell him his true feelings. He's such a loser.
"I'm Sorry Beomgyu...i love you. I'll never forget you."

"I bought you flowers" Soobin said with a sad smile. A droplet of tear fell down to Beomgyu's grave.
Soobin bought white roses, as Beomgyu liked them.

"I'll always buy you flowers Beomgyu. I love you."
