School bathrooms are probably one of the worst places on earth.

The smell of— ugh! Eliana hated how dirty people are. Usually people would think that the girl's bathroom smells of roses and an, "oh so beautiful and heavenly place."

That's a straight up lie. But the only place that Eliana was able to freshen herself up before her French tutoring was in the bathroom.

She has been dying to look for a French tutor, and it just so happens that the new (not to mention, cute) kid knows French. When she was told the news, she was completely relieved.

The tutoring starts in three minutes, and Eliana is still fixing her hair.

It's weird though.

Usually, she wouldn't clean herself up for a tutoring. Something about that new boy is just different.

Not wanting to keep Cameron waiting, she quickly gathered her belongings into her backpack and walked rather swiftly, to the library.

At the table that Cameron was waiting for Eliana at, he was a total mess.

His palms her sweaty, and he was shaking.

The worst part of everything is that he lied about knowing French just to tutor her. He's just as clueless as she is, and maybe even more.

Quickly going through the French textbook, going over stuff, he was confused.

He tried to remain calm, but that was nearly impossible.

Hearing somebody quickly sit down beside him, he froze.

"Hi!"

"Oh— hi!"

Looking over at her, he felt his face heat up once again.

Clearing his throat, he finally spoke up. "Okay, uh, i thought that we'd start with pronunciation, if that's alright with you?"

Smiling, she replied. "Of course! Just um, can we maybe skip some of the hacking, gagging, and spitting part, please."

Not knowing what to say, Cameron just went along. "Well, there is an alternative."

"There is?"

"Yeah, uh-" Cameron began to trip over his words, hoping that we wouldn't embarrass himself with what he was about to say.
"French food. We could, uh, eat some together, Saturday night.."

Slowly looking up from where he was looking at, Eliana softly smiled.

"You're asking me out? That's cute, really, but im sorry—"

Ouch.

Trying to save himself, he came up with the idea to make it seem like he was planning on asking someone else.

"No! I mean like— sorry, I didn't mean to say that to you. It's just, uh—"

Maybe if he talked about her best friend she'd get jealous and change her mind.

"—do you know if your friend, Brenda, is like, single.. or something?"

Eliana tried hard not to laugh. Pursing her lips, she corrected him. "You mean Bianca?"

Flustered, once again, he quickly replied. "Yes! Sorry, I get names mixed up a lot."
Pausing for a second, he went on. "You know if Bianca's single?"

Eliana sniffled a laugh. "Sweetheart, Bianca isn't into guys."

Completely embarrassed, his mouth gaped. "Oh, shit. I'm sorry— I had no idea!"

"No, you're good. I mean, most people were surprised when they found out."

Seeing how embarrassed he looked, Eliana smiled to herself.

"Look, I usually dont go out with anybody, but Bianca and I did make a promise that once she started dating somebody, I would try to get with somebody. You know, for double dates and stuff. I really would enjoy going out with you, but it's only till Bianca gets with somebody."

This made Cameron somewhat relived. Smiling again, he asked, "Well, is she seeing anyone?"

"Sadly, no. But you see that girl with the curly hair over there?"

Cameron looked to the table where Eliana was pointing at. At the table was a girl with curly hair, half asleep.

He nodded.

"That's Nila Coffman. Bianca's been crushing on her since forever."

"Well, why doesn't she just go out with her?"

"Because of her dad. If it weren't for him, she would've already made her move. Her dad came up with this new rule. She can date when her older sister, Kat, does."

"You're kidding?" Cameron's smile grew brighter. "Let me ask you, do you like sailing? Cause I read about this place that rents boats—"

Eliana cut him off. "A small problem, Cameron. I'm not sure if Kat will be dating anybody any time soon. In case you haven't realized this already, she's just not into any of that."

"Yeah, yeah, I noticed that she doesn't seem like it." He licked his lips. "but im sure that there's at least on person here that could try to get her to go out with them?"

"You think so?"

"I know so!"

"Well, if you really think so, try doing something about it. I'd really like to go out with you somewhere."

Cameron softly smiled, and Eliana returned it.

"I'll try."
