once the group was inside, they all got a spot and bickered for a few minutes about who's going first. they all decided to let Rory go first, since she decided on going. but of course, Chris didn't like that she got to go first. so he decided to complain about it.

"that's not fair! she literally gets to go first all the time." he started to bicker and groan in annoyance as he threw his head back.

Rory rolled her eyes, "Chris shut up. i literally haven't got to go first the past few times we've came here, you got too. and plus, i picked out where we got to go." she started to argue with him, groaning with irritation as she glared at him.

"whatever, you're just saying that so you can go first." he grumbled as he crossed his arms and let out a sharp exhale.

"you two shut up, please. i don't want to hear you two arguing. we haven't even been here for 10 minutes and Chris is already arguing over Rory going first." Matt snapped at the two as he ran his hand through his hair.

the two rolled their eyes and let out a annoyed sigh. Rory swung her golf club to hit the ball. the ball landed a few feet away from where she was aiming, and the whole group, besides Chris, shared groans and 'no's'. Chris scoffed and raised his eyebrows up and down quickly.

"you suck ass at this." Chris pointed out to Rory as he walked up, causing her to roll her eyes at him.

"shut up, Owen. you're not much better than me." her face scrunched up as she rolled her eyes at him.

he rolled his eyes at her calling him by his middle name. he usually hates when people call him that. but for some reason, he didn't mind Rory calling him that, which he found oddly strange to him. but he would never admit that. so he just hides it by rolling his eyes every time she called him that. Madi rolled her eyes and shook her head at the two with a smirk on her face, but neither of them noticed.

it was Chris's turn, and so he walked up there and got into position to hit the ball perfectly. usually, Rory isn't the one to watch him do anything. but today, she watched how him swung his golf club perfectly. he hit the ball and it launched pretty far, but too far to get where he wanted it. Chris groaned as he threw his head back. what was going on with her today? she quickly shook her head to shake the thought away.

Jazmyn raised an eyebrow at Rory, "whatcha thinking about, Rory?" she asked curiously at her friends actions.

Rory let out a sigh, "nothing. just, thinking about my dad." she slightly smiled at her friend, half-lying not wanting to say it's about Chris.

Jaz studied her face for a moment, then she gave her an unconvincing look, "Rory, you're half-lying. what else is on your mind? you can tell me you know?" she empathized softly as she placed her hand on top of Rory's.

she let out a long sigh, "i dont know. you're gonna judge me for what i'm about say." Rory began nervously, holding eye contact.

there was a pause, Rory taking the silence as a hint to continue talking, "so, today everything has been about Chris. it might seem crazy, but what i mean is that like earlier, i was looking around Matt's car for Chris without even realizing it. then i was just watching him hit the golf ball. i don't know what's going on, but i don't like it." she babbled fast without realizing. Jazmyns jaw fell agape as Rory spoke.

Jazmyn raised her eyebrows slowly, "what, huh? i have like, no words right now." she was flabbergasted at the words that poured out of Rory's mouth. she rubbed her eyes, trying to take in the information her friend gave her.

"honestly, same. i think i just need some food." Rory agreed with Jazzy nodding her head.

"hey, we can wait until this round is over and then ask everybody if they're hungry." Jazzy promisingly smiled softly at Rory. Rory just smiled and nodded her head, and watching Connor play.

once the round was over, Jazmyn got everyone's attention and started talking.

"me and Rory are getting pretty hungry. so, we was wondering if anyone else wanted some food." Jazmyn announced to the group.

Connor spoke first nodding his head, "i could go for some wings right now." he added, agreeing with them.

"oh em gee yes. their wings are the best." Penny groaned as she thought about their wings.

the others all said the same, expect for Chris. of course. he's always trying to argue with them.

"no, i dont want wings. i want pizza." Chris argued with the group.

"Chris, you are the only one who ever wants pizza. we're not getting pizza." Matt groaned at his brothers bickering as he rolled his eyes.

Chris groaned back, "Matt shut up. i didn't ask for you to comment." Chris glared at his brother and rolled his eyes.

"okay, that's enough. who's gonna go pay for us?" Madi asked everyone. they all looked over at Matt, who shook his head.

"no, i'm not paying today. especially for this whiny kid." he denied quickly then pointed at brother and Chris rolled his eyes.

"it's okay, Matt. ive got it." Rory offered with a smile.

"thanks Rory." he smiled back at her.

"okay, but i need someone to go up there with me. i don't like going alone." Rory scanned the group, looking for someone to offer to go.

"i will, Rors." Jazmyn spoke up with a bright smile on her face.

"good, i wanted you to go with me anyways." Rory confessed with her eyebrows raised.

"oh my god, you would've been fine by yourself." Chris complained as he rolled his eyes.

Rory snapped her head at Chris and furrowed her eyebrows at chris's sudden action. instead of arguing with him, she just rolled her eyes in annoyance. everyone exchanged a look, but nobody said anything. Connor cleared his throat and spoke first to break the ankward silence.

"okay. Rory and Jaz, y'all go ahead and get the food. the rest of us will just do our own thing, maybe take a bathroom break or something." he emphasized the okay in his sentence, and gave her a smile at the end.

Rory nodded her head and took a annoyed glance at Chris, then turned her attention over to Jazmyn.

"you ready?" Rory asked Jazmyn as she raised her eyebrows.

"yep. let's go." she grinned widely at Rory, making her smile and roll her eyes playfully.
