"What a good-looking man. Is he a newcomer to the acting scene?" Jimin murmurs to himself, intrigued by the dark haired figure on his phone screen.

Jimin initially planned to lie on the bed and finish his homework on Saturday evening. Still, upon hearing the buzz of a new series "Love Wonder" on a series app, he had downloaded, he decided to give it a try.

Normally, he would carefully peek at the cover art before making a decision, and the simplistic design of this series didn't immediately grab Jimin's attention. However, two minutes into the first episode, he was completely captivated by the compelling narrative and couldn't stop watching.

As Jimin is engrossed in the scene where the young actor is about to confess his love to a female character, his mum calls him from downstairs, "Jimin! Dinner is ready!"Β

"One moment!" he calls back, reluctant to tear his eyes away from the unfolding drama.

He has already watched almost the entire series, putting his homework to the side. However, to his dismay, he discovered he would need to purchase a subscription to watch the remaining episodes. With a sigh of frustration, he throws himself back on his bed, realizing that he should have waited until the entire series is available to watch for free.

Just as he's about to go downstairs to appease his impatient mother, a thunderous shouting echoes from below, 'Jimin!' This time, the tone is undeniably stern, signalling her growing very angry and impatient.

Jimin's eyes widen in alarm as he hastily runs down the stairs to find his parents and younger brother seated at the dining room table.

"About time, my boy," his father chuckles, taking a sip of his tea and gesturing subtly to the empty seat next to him, his eyes twinkling with amusement. It seems like he wants to save him from his mother. "I was beginning to think you'd gotten lost in the world of K-dramas again."

Jihyun, his younger brother, arches an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. It's no secret in his family that Jimin loves watching K-dramas. "What have you been up to, big brother? Let me guess; you're still swooning over that new actress from that latest series, as Dad said, aren't you?"Β

A smirk appears on Jihyun's lips, causing Jimin to roll his eyes. "Wouldn't you like to know?"Β

"Of course," Jihyun playfully huffs before digging into his food. "So, was it a new actress?"

Jimin swears if he wasn't sitting at the table, he would have already gotten up to smack him. "Of course, Jihyun. How could I not be? She's absolutely mesmerizing. Her eyes could melt the coldest of hearts. ...Of course not."

If that isn't brother love.

Since he transferred to a new school and started high school, Jihyun has become even more cockier than he was before.Β Jimin would blame it on teenager hormones, but he was already sassy. He wonders what they would say if they knew the truth about why he was watching the series.

Their mother's laughter fills the air, breaking the tension between the brothers. "Oh, Jimin. We heard you screaming, so there's no denying you must have been watching the new series you recently talked about. But next time, come to dinner earlier; I hate having to call you twice. You know that."

Jimin's cheeks flush a deep shade of crimson, his mouth forming into a pout. "Hey, I wasn't screaming!" he protests, his voice barely above a whisper. "I was just wa- I mean learning, and when I answered you, I was solving a task..." Jimin knows that there is no point in lying. He has already been seen through. Nevertheless, he hopes that they will somehow take it from him.

Jimin's mother's laughter is a warm, comforting sound that instantly eases the tension at the table. Even his father smiles at him. "Don't worry," he says, patting Jimin on the back. "We all have our guilty pleasures."

Jimin can't help but smile back. His father is right. Jihyun has a guilty pleasure, too. Playing games all day.

"Don't tease me about an actress when you like a fictional character."

"Jimin that's not true!" Jihyun presses out through clenched teeth.

"Then don't start teasing me."

"Boys!" Their mother sighs, annoyed, and pinches her nose between her fingers. "Will there ever be a day when you don't tease each other? And that too when we are sitting at the table?"

Jimin opens his mouth before regretfully shutting it again. As the older brother, he must be more mature and clever. "He started it."

"It doesn't matter who started it, but you don't have to go one better. Enough is enough. We're eating." His mother warns them, throwing them a glare.

From then on, there is an awkward silence at the table. No one says anything, causing Jimin to wander and think back to the scene he saw. Feelings of longing stir within him that he hasn't felt for a long time.Β He'd never felt this way before, this intense attraction, this yearning for something he couldn't quite define.

As soon as dinner was over, Jimin excuses himself and rushes back to his room. He closes the door behind him and turns on his laptop, eager to see more Jeon Jungkook. He spends hours scrolling through pictures, watching videos, and reading articles.Β

"He's really hot, hm?" he mumbles subconsciously, instantly sitting up on his bed with flushed cheeks and clapping his cool hands to his cheeks. "Why would you think something like that? Aish, how embarrassing- but..." he looks at several pictures and shakes his head, wondering why he was so intrigued by a male actor.

"But it's the truth, after all. I'm sure he's just as cute as he's in the drama and videos," Jimin smiles cutely and kicks his legs helplessly on the bed when he comes across a topless picture of Jungkook. He squeaks and puts the phone down, biting his lower lip.

"Bad Jimin! You're acting like a crazy fan." Jimin picks up his phone again and swipes the picture away without looking at it any longer. He feels embarrassed and ashamed.

"Let's see how old he is." Jimin's heart pounds in his chest as he scrolls through the actor's profile on Naver, his eyes wide with admiration.Β The actor is tall, with broad shoulders and a muscular frame. His dark hair is often styled to make him look rugged and sophisticated, and his deep brown eyes sparkle with intelligence and warmth.Β

Jimin's breath catches in his throat as he reads the actor's age. He is just a year younger than Jimin, 17, yet he looks a bit older and like he's already in college.

As Jimin continues to read, he learns that the actor is also a talented singer. The videos he had seen earlier were about the drama, behind the scenes and some interviews. Jimin can't help but feel a sense of awe.Β He can only imagine what it would be like to meet the actor in person.

He snuggles into his bed and puts the blanket over him, lost in thought about daydreaming. Would he be aΒ  gentleman as he has seen in a video?

Jimin reluctantly puts his phone away and gets ready for bed. As he drifts off to sleep, he can't help but smile.Β What an exciting evening. He can't wait to tell his friends about it.

__________

Amidst the bustling throng of students hurrying to their first class, Jimin's eyes catch sight of his best friend, Hoseok, waiting patiently at the school entrance. A wide grin spreads across his face as he approaches, ready to greet his friend with the warmth and enthusiasm that always characterizes their interactions.

"Hobi!" he exclaims, his voice laced with genuine affection.Β

Hoseok, the bubbly but drama queen he is, grows a wide grin on his face and runs to him to hug him. "Huh? Oh, Jiminie! It's been far too long since we've last seen each other. I've missed you terribly," he laments, feigning wounded emotions.

Jimin chuckls at his friend's antics, unable to resist his playful charm. "Come on, Hobi. It's only been two days," he teases, gently poking his friend's shoulder, whining.

Hoseok playfully rolls his eyes and sighs. "Yeah, yeah. You didn't miss me-"Β

Their banter is interrupted by the familiar voice of their other best friend, Namjoon, who approaches them with a warm smile, his cute dimples showing. "Hey guys. What are you acting dramatic about again?"Β

"Hey, Joonie. Jiminie didn't miss me," Hoseok whines, his voice laced with mock disappointment.

Jimin rolls his eyes playfully and wraps his arms around Hoseok, pulling him into a tight hug. "Of course, I did, Hobi. You're my best friend, and I cherish our time together."

"Pfft," Hoseok scoffs playfully, his expression softening as he leans against Jimin's shoulder, but grins nonetheless.

"Well, anyways, I have some exciting news for you guys. I discovered the hottest actor ever yesterday. You won't believe it!" Jimin announces, his eyes sparkling with excitement.Β

Namjoon's eyebrows shoot up in interest. "Oh, really? Who is he?" he asks, intrigued by the prospect of discovering a new celebrity crush.Β "No one can top Kim Seokjin, our very own K-drama heartthrob."

"Your very own K-drama heartthrob," Jimin counters and grins. "Jeongguk is my K-drama heartthrob now."

Hoseok's eyes widens, and he bites his lip. "Namjoon, isn't he a bit too old for you? And, besides, he's a celebrity!"Β

"Yah! Aren't you allowed to gush and be a fan of him? Didn't say I wanted to date him." Namjoon's shoulders drop and he feels a little down from what his friend said.

Namjoon's shoulders slump slightly, his earlier playful mood dampened by Hoseok's teasing. While he has always admired Jin's handsome looks and charismatic personality, he can't help but feel a twinge of insecurity at Hoseok's comment.Β

While he wouldn't mind finding such a good-looking boyfriend like Jin, he can't say he would ever be interested in dating the handsome star. After all, he doesn't even know him personally, let alone have feelings for him beyond a 'fanboy crush'.

"I never said I wanted to date him. I'm just a fan of his work," Namjoon retorts, a hint of frustration in his voice. "...Besides, he's not that much older than me. He's only four years older."

"Sorry Joonie, I didn't mean it like that." Hoseok must have sensed Namjoon's discomfort and quickly apologizes. "I was just teasing you a bit," Hoseok mumbles, reaching out and gently patting Namjoon on the shoulder as he leans against him.

Jimin, sensing that the tension is subsiding, gently nudges his friends towards the classroom. "Aish, you two. Let's get going before the teacher starts the lesson," Jimin chides, moving quickly to his seat when he sees the teacher preparing for the lesson.

________

The cafeteria buzzes with the chatter of students as Jimin sits with his friends, Namjoon, Hoseok and Jennie. Their break is coming to an end, but Jimin is still engrossed in his phone, scrolling through the latest episodes of a K-drama he's recently discovered.Β

"What?! Oh, he looks really hot!" Hoseok exclaims with admiration when Jimin shows them a photo of Jungkook. Jimin chuckles, feigning annoyance.

"Calm down, Hobi," he said playfully, "and you too, Jennie." The two friends respond with playful slaps on his shoulder, their amusement evident.

"Alright, alright," Jimin clears his throat, face lighting up as he describes the actor's charisma and talent. "He's so talented!" he exclaims, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "And he's only 17!"

"17?!"

Hoseok and Jennie leans in, their curiosity piqued. "17? Really?" Jennie asks, her voice filled with disbelief. "He looks older than that."

Jimin nods vigorously. "I know, right? He has such a mature aura about him. And his muscles..." he trails off, his voice trailing into a dreamy sigh. "I love his drama. He really looks perfect in every part and his character is definitely a bomb too!"Β

Namjoon joins the conversation, raising a brow, his expression thoughtful. "I have to admit, he's not bad looking," he muses, "but what if he's really arrog-"

His friends' disapproving stares immediately shut him down. "Sorry," Namjoon clears his throat cheeks flushing slightly, and he goes back to talking to Jackson. An old buddy from a different class.

"Anyway," Jimin continues, regaining his friends' attention, "I googled him and found out it's his first acting role, and he's doing such an excellent job already. I can't wait until I can finally watch the rest of the episodes."

"We have to see them too, Hobi!" Jennie whines, her eyes pleading with their friend.

Hoseok nods in agreement. "Absolutely! Today at my place? I'm buying popcorn."Β He turns to Jimin with a mischievous grin. "What about you? You're not invited. You dumbass should have waited for us with that!"

Jimin sticks his tongue out at Hoseok, a playful retort in response to his teasing. "Who said I wanted to go to your house? I bet you couldn't have waited either if you'd started it, because once you start, you can't stop. The series is addictive."

Hoseok playfully returns the gesture and slaps him on the arm.

"You're silly!"

With a puppy dog look, he looks down at his lap where he is fidgeting with his fingers. "Can I please watch with you guys? I won't give spoilers either. Promise!"

His eyes plead with his friends, first Jennie, then Hoseok.

Hoseok's expression softened as he looked at Jimin's hopeful gaze. "What's the name of the show, anyway?" He's still trying to be a tiny bit pissed off but relents as he can't help but grow weak at Jimin's puppy-dog eyes.

"Love Wonder," Jimin replies eagerly, his eyes shining with anticipation. "So, may I?" Hoseok sighed and slumped his shoulders.

"Yes, you may! But don't you dare spoiler or else I'll throw you out and no amount of puppy dog eyes will help!" Hoseok playfully warns.

Jimin beams, his heart filled with gratitude. "Yey! Now I can go on eating with peace of mind," he says, continuing his lunch with a smile.

Shaking their heads, Hoseok and Jennie look at him, grinning. He's so far into this whole thing.
