REAL LIFE,

"MATT IF YOU TOUCH MY HAIR ONE MORE TIME," Ella yells at the boy who had messed up her hair for the third time now.

"There was a leaf in it." Matt fibs innocently. "Mhm right," she responds, not buying it.

Nick lets out an annoyed groan as he comes from the hotel room kitchen.

"Can we please go do something? Like can we eat lunch in the garden?"

"Yeah sure." Ella shrugs, peeking at Matt for an answer. "FRENCH TOAST." He answers.

Too bad Chris had been out with Baylen because he would have flipped by hearing Matt use his 'slang'

Nick, Matt, and Ella make a few sandwiches for themselves, a few Capri suns- and by a few, I mean 7-, and then some Uno cards before walking down to the garden. They find the garden easily before plopping a seat on a blanket they laid out on the ground.

Nick dealt out the Uno cards as Matt and Ella started on their sandwiches.

"Matt." Ella starts with a laugh, "What?" he asks.

"You have mayo on your face," she states with a giggle. The boy tries to wipe it off but fails.

"Right there," she says, wiping it off for him. "Boom, mayo-free." she smiles, leaning back into her seat.

"Aww, that's a cute moment. You guys sure I'm not third-wheeling?" Nick jokes, "Shut the hell up Nick." Matt and Ella say at the same time, again.

"I'm concerned for you guys, to be honest," Nick states, taking a bite out of his sandwich as Ella puts down a yellow three. Matt goes next and puts down a green 3 then Nick puts down a green 6.

The game goes on and is still continuing as the three finish their lunch.

"UNO," Nick shouts.

Matt and Ella wink at each other before Ella puts down a plus-four wild card and says the color's yellow and then Matt puts down a yellow plus two, making Nick gain 6 cards.

He groans as he gets his six new cards.

"You guys are mean."

"Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game." Ella defends, putting her hands up.

"HA, I SAW YOUR CARDS. ELLA HAS ALL YELLOW." Matt exclaims, pointing toward her hands.

"FUCK." She replies.

The game goes on for another 15 minutes before Matt wins.

"You cheated," Ella states as she, Nick, and Matt clean up their trash. "I did not. You just broadcasted your cards to the whole world." Matt argues as they connect hands instinctively.

"Hey uh what's this? With your hands?" Nick asks, "Don't worry about it." Matt laughs (iykyk)

"I'm gonna worry about it. Are you two like dating?" Nick questions, "No." They both answer. "But you guys hold hands." Nick states, "It's confusing Nick." Matt replies.

"Yeah, we like each other, but I can't do the long-distance relationship," Ella informs the eldest triplet.

"Why not?"

"Cause they never work out and I don't want that to ruin me and Matt," she answers. "But you guys have something different. You guys could totally make that shit work." Nick states.

"Could we?" Matt asks his brother.

"That's for you guys to figure out yourselves," Nick answers, throwing away all 3 of his Capri suns in the garbage bin.

"Ok, so where are we off to next?" Nick asks cheerfully.

"I wanna take a nap." Matt states, " Yeah me too." Ella agrees. "Yeah right, you just wanna cuddle with your... Matt," he states.

"No, I'm actually genuinely tired you earwax." Ella replies and Matt cringes at the word earwax.

"EW. DON'T SAY EARWAX." He cringes. Ella giggles at the boy's silliness.

"Whatever Matty B, let's go." she giggles, pulling Matt and Nick with her as she walks back to her hotel lobby.

"And what am I supposed to do?" Nick asks as they reach the elevator. "Um, you can take a nap too." Ella suggests, "No. Naps are for babies." he objects. "Then call River to hang out I'm sure she's free." Matt offers.

"OH MY GOD YEAH. K screw you guys, I'm hanging out with River. Bro, she's so fun." Nick agrees in excitement.

"I'm glad you think so." Ella mutters, "Wait did something happen between you two?" Nick questions as he finds River's contact on his phone.

"Not between us, between them." Ella corrects, pointing to Matt.

"She tried holding my hand and stuff and she kissed me." Matt clarifies, "Oh. good for you guys." Nick smiles, oblivious to Matt's disinterest in the girl.

"No, it's not. She thinks we have something or some shit and I don't like her." Matt claims, "Oh, well I'll talk to her about it and hopefully she's cool about it." Nick replies as he texts River to hang out.

River replies with a 'just you and me? or is matt coming too?' Nick answers with 'it's everyone except Ella and Baylen cause they're busy' even though he lied. So, River agreed to it and they met down at the hotel pool leaving Matt and Ella to themselves in her and Baylen's hotel room.

"Matt you are literally, the most gorgeous person I have ever met." Ella states, not because she wanted to hear him say 'you too' but because she meant it and wanted him to know that.

"I like it when you call me pretty and stuff like that," Matt says.

He had been facing Ella while Ella had been facing him. Ella's right hand was connected with Matt's left as they lay with each other. (does that make any sense at all? like they were holding hands as they were laying down with each other yk?)

"Then I'll make sure I keep calling you pretty and stuff like that." Ella smiles at him. "You know for us not being a couple, we literally act like one." Matt softly laughs. "Yeah I know, it's gonna be so hard going back to Florida." Ella pouts.

"Hey that's still in 11 days, don't think about leaving yet." Matt tells her, "Okay." she replies, her eyes gently dropping.
