Primrose trailed behind everyone as they walked further into Eitri's workshop. Confusion continued to flow through her veins as she stared at the dwarf in front of her. Because of how urgent the situation was, the Quill woman never had a chance to ask how he knew her name. She knew that she had never met Eitri before in her entire life, so it had to be because of her father. Once again, everyone knew something about Jorvik except for Primrose. That thought alone was enough to make a wave of annoyance wash over the brunette woman, only for her to quickly force it away to focus on the situation at hand.

It wasn't long before they reached the end of the corridor, which seemed to be darker than the rest of the building. Primrose watched in awe as the machine in front of them lowered what looked like a metal box. That continued until the metallic object settled on the platform before steam emitted from the machine as it ascended into the air. Thor stared at the item in front of them with awe in his eyes while the Guardians studied it in confusion. None of them knew what to make of what was happening and were somewhat underwhelmed by what Eitri was showing them. However, Primrose didn't have the courage to question what was happening. Lucky for her, Rocket did.

"This is the plan? We're gonna hit him with a brick?" the raccoon questioned after looking up at Eitri with a hint of annoyance in his eyes.

"It's a mold. A king's weapon," the dwarf clarified as his attention moved to the Odinson man, only to find the Asgardian already staring back at him, "meant to be the greatest in Asgard. In theory, it could even summon the Bifrost."

Thor couldn't help but look back at the mold after listening to Eitri's explanation of what it contained. His eyes scanned over the object once again before his attention fell back on the dwarf. "Does it have a name?"

"Stormbreaker."

"That's a bit much," Rocket muttered under his breath, earning a nudge from Primrose in response.

"So how do we make it?" Thor questioned, drawing everyone's attention back to him before Eitri let out a long sigh.

"You'll have to restart the forge," the dwarf told them as he turned toward the large spherical object behind them, "awaken the heart of a dying star."

Primrose just stared at the dark star in front of her for a long moment before looking up at Eitri. "Is that even possible?"

Before the dwarf even had a chance to respond to the Quill woman, Thor began speaking. "Rabbit, fire up the pod."

Primrose wished she could say she was surprised by how easily Rocket gave into Thor's outrageous plan, but she wasn't. It was just like the raccoon to agree to partake in potentially life-threatening plans without thinking about it first. That was who he was no matter how much it bothered everyone around him. And the Quill woman knew that it would get him killed one day, but she was going to make sure that that day wasn't any day soon.

While Rocket was flying around the star with Thor, Primrose stayed behind to keep an eye on Groot and help Eitri with anything he needed. However, the Quill woman failed to notice the dwarf glancing over at her every now and then with a hint of guilt in his eyes. Eitri knew he needed to tell Primrose what he knew about her father, but he didn't know where to begin. He also didn't think it was the best time to bring up a subject she didn't seem interested in talking about. After all, she hadn't even questioned how he knew her name.

A small gasp escaped Primrose as she watched Thor spin Rocket's pod around in the distance. She couldn't tell if she was actually hearing the raccoon's faint shouts or if she was just imagining it. That continued for another moment before the pod's engines ignited. Primrose couldn't contain her shock as she watched Rocket soar through the air while Thor tightly held onto a rope as he was dragged along with it. She had no idea what was going on in their heads and knew that if their antics continued the outcome wouldn't be good. Not even a second after that passed when the God of Thunder found his footing and forced the pod to stop in midair. To Primrose's surprise, Rocket kept the engines on full blast. It wasn't long after that when the rings began to move back into place before the star began to shine once again.

"Well done, boy," Eitri said, making Primrose look up at him to find him staring at the star's bright beam forming above them. The Quill woman tried her best not to jump when the dwarf turned his attention toward her. "Welcome to Nidavellir. Your father used to love coming here."

Primrose's blood immediately ran cold as she continued to stare at Eitri before finding the courage within herself to speak. "Of course, you knew my father. Everyone seemed to know him except for me."

The small smile on the dwarf's face instantly faded when he saw the sadness in the Quill woman's eyes. However, before he had a chance to respond, a loud bang cut through the air before the beam of light above vanished. Eitri just stood there as he took in everything that just happened before letting out a long sigh. "D*mn it."

"'D*mn it'? What's 'd*mn it'?" Rocket's voice came through their comms.

"The mechanism is crippled," Eitri explained while Primrose continued to try to comprehend what was happening, "with the iris closed, I can't heat the metal."

"How long will it take to heat it?" Thor questioned, making a confused look appear on the dwarf's face.

"A few minutes, maybe more. Why?"

"I'm gonna hold it open."

Eitri hesitated for a moment after hearing the Odinson man's words before opening his mouth to respond. "That's a death sentence."

"So is facing Thanos without that ax," the Asgardian declared before Primrose watched as he launched himself toward the star.

"He really is a crazy space god," Primrose muttered under her breath while trying her best to fight the annoyance flowing through her veins.

"You understand, boy?" Eitri called out as he continued to stare at where Thor was currently standing, "you're about to take the full force of a star. It'll kill you."

"Only if I die," the Odinson man responded, causing the small hint of hope that Primrose felt to fade away.

"Yes. That's what killing you means," the dwarf clarified after the confused look returned to his face.

The Quill woman kept her eyes glued to the iris as she finally asked the question that had been bouncing around in her head since she met the God of Thunder. "Are all Asgardians like this?"

"No. Just Thor," Eitri told her before looking down at Primrose, who was still staring out into space. The dwarf had an internal debate with himself that had been going on since he recognized the Quill woman. He knew he didn't have much time to tell her what he knew, but he also knew it would take some convincing for her to listen. "Jorvik would never do anything as foolish as this."

Primrose's entire body seemed to tense once again at the mention of her father. She didn't know why it still bothered her that people knew who he was. If anything, she felt she should've been grateful to people for telling her stories about Jorvik. But the Quill woman could never fight the jealousy that flowed through her veins when she realized that other people knew her father and she never had the chance to.Β

What seemed like an eternity passed before Primrose forced herself to glance up at Eitri, only to find him already looking down at her. It wasn't long after that when the Quill woman finally broke the silence surrounding them. "Yes, I know. Jorvik was a royal guard turned Ravager who fell in love with a Terran. He left when I was a baby because he was being hunted. Maybe if he stayed, he would've survived."

"There's more to the story, Primrose," the dwarf announced, causing all the emotion to fade from the Quill woman's face before he continued speaking, "I'll be honest, I don't know all the details, only what Jorvik told me when he came to see me. All I know is that whoever was after him was pursuing all kinds of gods, whether they were half or full. Which meant that if he stayed on Terra, he'd be putting you in danger."

Primrose couldn't help but simply stare at Eitri, unable to form words to respond. The dwarf wasn't surprised to see the shock forming in her eyes, knowing this was far more information she expected to receive onΒ Nidavellir. So instead of waiting around for her to speak, Eitri decided to continue his story.

"I expected Jorvik to ask me to make him something to defend himself when the time came," the dwarf explained as he walked away from Primrose. Her mouth remained sealed shut as she watched him dig around in the debris before coming back with a long sword in his hands. "Instead, he asked me to make this sword for his daughter. He couldn't stop talking about you, Primrose. He even showed me pictures. Your eyes haven't changed a bit."

The Quill woman hesitated after watching the dwarf hold the sword out to her. She just stared at it for a long time before finally taking it into her possession. It felt awkward in her hands at first, especially considering she'd never used a sword before. But only a few seconds passed before it felt as though she'd had the object for all of her life. Primrose's eyes stayed glued to the sword for a moment longer before she found herself looking back up at Eitri. "Does it have a name?"

"Hrotti. It's named after the sword used to slay a dragon in a Norse legend," Eitri explained as he handed her the sword's belt and sheath, "it was your father's favorite tale."

A small smile appeared on Primrose's face as she looked back down at the sword. "From the VΓΆlsung Cycle. It was a part of FΓ‘fnir's treasure.Β SigurdΒ took it after he slayed the dragon. It's one of my favorites, too."

Before their conversation could continue, a bright beam of light appeared over their heads. Shock coursed through Primrose's veins as she stared at it before a wave of realization washed over her. Thor was opening the iris. Eitri didn't hesitate to sprint toward the container holding the metal they were going to use to make Stormbreaker. The Quill woman stared at the star for a moment longer before sheathingΒ Hrotti and rushing to join him. Primrose stood to the side as she watched Eitri pull a lever next to him. Not even a second after that passed when the container tilted, allowing the molten liquid inside to pour into the mold.

The Quill woman's attention was soon drawn to the direction she just came from, only to be greeted by darkness. Her blood instantly ran cold when she realized the lack of light could only mean one thing. Something happened to Thor. It wasn't long after that when Primrose spotted the Asgardian flying through the air. The brunette woman couldn't help but gasp after watching Thor slam into a machine hanging from the ceiling before landing on the floor. As soon as her initial shock faded, Primrose sprinted across the workshop toward the Odinson man. She soon found herself kneeling down next to him, trying to ignore his scorched body as she felt his neck for a pulse.

"Say something. Come on," Primrose muttered under his breath after feeling an extremely faint pulse. The Quill woman did her best to ignore the loud banging coming from behind her as she looked up at Rocket, who just knelt down on Thor's other side. "He's dying."

"He needs the ax!" Eitri shouted as he continued to slam his fist against the mold until it split open, revealing the newly formed Stormbreaker, "where's the handle?! Tree! Help me find the handle!"

Primrose's instincts took over before she could even think as she began performing CPR on the Asgardian. Even though there was a part of her that knew her attempts were futile, she was determined to keep him alive. Unknown to both her and Rocket, Groot finally put down his video game and stood to his feet. Determination appeared in his eyes as he forced his arm to grow before he lifted Stormbreaker's pieces into the air and made them fuse together. As soon as his arm was long enough to become the ax's handle, Groot severed it from his body.

It wasn't long after that when Rocket noticed Thor's fingers starting to twitch before sparks of lightning emitted from them. Concern began to flow through the raccoon's veins as he looked up at Primrose, only to find all her focus on saving the Asgardian. Rocket watched her for another moment before he noticed Stormbreaker rising into the air.

"Prim, we gotta move," Rocket announced, only for his words to go unheard by the Quill woman as the sparks emitting from Thor's fingertips began to glow brighter, "Prim! We need to move now!"

A wave of irritation washed over the raccoon when Primrose ignored his words and continued to perform CPR. The next thing the Quill woman knew, Rocket collided with her. The unexpected force caused her to fall backward and onto the metallic floor. Primrose was about to yell at the raccoon, only for her words to get caught in her throat as she watched Stormbreaker fly through the air right above her and into Thor's hand.

A bright light emitted from the Asgardian's hand, causing everyone to instantly look away. Only a few seconds passed before it finally faded, leaving Thor standing in its place. Determination was all that filled the Odinson man's eyes as he raised his arm into the air, summoning the Bifrost without a second thought. Shock coursed through Primrose's veins as she watched the rainbow light surround her. She was taking in every moment, knowing that she would unlikely experience it again. It wasn't long before the Bifrost disappeared into thin air, revealing a world that the Quill woman hadn't seen since she was abducted thirty years ago. Earth.

The shock within Primrose did nothing but grow as her eyes scanned her surroundings. She was surprised to find herself in the middle of a battlefield with humans on one side and aliens on the other. But her shock soon faded as she unsheathed Hrotti and adjusted her grip on its handle. Not even a second after that passed when she ran beside Groot and Rocket as they trailed behind Thor, who had lightning emitting from his entire body.

"Bring me Thanos!"
