AMELIE EVERLARK was a hopeless romantic. Was that her whole personality? Sometimes, yes. She enjoyed reading, thinking ─ hell, even writing about love was on the table. But would she ever try to fall in love for real? No, that'd be too much for her to handle. It was scary for her.

     Which is why everytime she had a crush on someone, she'd write a love letter to them. Obviously, she would never send them, instead keep them safe in a box placed on the very top of her closet. She had written five letters in total; to a boy named Kenny from camp, Chris from seventh grade, Lucas from homecoming, Jeremy Robert from Model UN, and Jared Davis, her sister's boyfriend.

     She knew she was horrible for writing a love letter to her sister's boyfriend, but to be fair, Jared was Amelie's best friend before Lacie, her sister, even acknowledged his existence. Nevertheless, Lacie got the boy even though Amelie wanted him first.

    It all went to shit when Lacie moved to Scotland for college and broke up with Jared. Somehow, Amelie's younger sister, Scar, found her secret stash of love letters and sent them all out (why did she address them!?).

     And when Jared finds out all of Amelie's feelings for him, she has no choice but to turn to Chris Sturniolo for help.

this book will contain mentions of grief, loss and death of a mother. the death would be prior to this timeline so there won't be any explicit details of it but there will be hardcore mentions of grief. in this fic (to fit the peter kavinsky x lara jean trauma bonding...) the triplets dad will have left!! i am aware that jimmy is very much present in their lives but its for the plot 😭😭 this is set in 2021 but covid doesn't exist! no smut (thats disgusting) but there will be some makeout scenes.
