AFTER THE hard loss against NC State, the girls all got 2 days off where they had nothing. Jenessa took the first one to finish all her class work. Now she was in a deep dive into Fortnite with Caitlin.

"CAIT! CAIT OH MY GOD CAIT HELP!" She squealed as she went over a hill and suddenly got involved in a 3 way fight and didn't know how to build.

"Im on my way, how many people?" Caitlin replied calmly, Jenessa had wandered off in the video game so it took a bit for the Iowa player to make it to her, JJ screaming the whole time and trying to avoid shots and fight back. "I dont know, a lot! Like- five or six."

Caitlin finally arrived and built for the two of them, Jenessa finally got to pull out her sniper now, and quickly began picking off players one by one.

Once it was two on one, it was Caitlin and the other player in a build battle, Jenessa just ran around the bottom of the builds and gave a motivational speech.

Caitlin eliminated the player and laughed at JJ. "You really need to learn how to build." Jenessa just whined in response.

They played for a couple hours until Caitlin had to go and Jenessa received a text from the girls asking if they want to go to a frat party.

Jenessa cracked a smile and agreed to go, wanting to let loose. She asked if she could bring Karmen and all the girls said yes, wanting to meet her.

She had a couple hours to get ready and decided to shower first, Paige had music blasting inside her room so Jenessa danced around and quietly hummed along to the songs as she cleansed her body.

Once she was done, she hopped out and wrapped a towel around herself, then brushed out her hair and scrunched it with a separate towel, so it wouldn't drip all over the floor.

Paige was excited to go out, they had a tough loss and couldn't wait to wash it all away with her friends and some liquor.

She spent a couple minutes debating between outfits, before settling on baggy brown cargos, a white graphic tee with brown designs, and white airforces. Paiges hair was natural, and she decided to leave it like that.

Quickly applying some mascara and chapstick, she turned down her music and scrolled social media for a while. A notification from Jenessa posting on her instagram story catching her attention.

A smile came across her face as she examined the picture, she remembered Jenessa sewing those patches onto the jean mini skirt when she was 15 and sharing a hotel room with the blonde.

Paige reposted the photo onto her story, realizing the time and that she should get a move on to the lobby, where she planned on meeting Ice, Azzi and Aaliyah to walk to the frat house together.

Jenessa, Nika, and KK were all giggling, walking together down the sidewalk. JJ adjusted her red leather jacket as the breeze picked up. "Yall excited?" KK smiled, bumping the girls shoulders. "Very! Im ready to get lit!" Nika yelled, the sun beginning to set.

"Me too girl, me too." Jenessa laughed. Nika had a white tube top and black jeans on, KK with a brown essentials hoodie and camo cargo pants.

"We all look hot as hell though, cant wait to see what the others are wearing. I hope there are some fine ass men there tonight." Nika giggled, KK and Jenessa nodded in agreement.

The walk took about 15 minutes, until finally the 3 entered a house full of drunk young adults, it reeked of sweat, weed and alcohol. Music so loud the bass causing the room to shake.

"Im gonna go find the drinks! Meet y'all in the living room in ten?" Jenessa yelled over the music, hoping they understood before turning away and squeezing through a mob of people to enter the kitchen.

Rows and rows of hard liquor, along with beers and wine coolers covered the counter. And of course the iconic mystery punch, JJ didn't dare go near it and instead poured herself some vodka in a red solo cup, squeezed some lime juice into it then tossed it down her throat.

She then grabbed a beer and popped off the lid, her eyes scanning the room. "Nessa! Hi!" Karmens voice rung out from behind her, Jenessa turned and tilted her head down to make eye contact with the short blonde, who quickly threw her arms around JJ.

"Hey Karmen, how long have you been here? You already seem pretty far gone." The brunette laughed as Karmen lightly slapped her arm with a scoff. "I am completely sober."

"Mhm, and thats why your breath reeks of tequila and you're slurring your words." She continued, leaning against the counter behind her.

"Whatever, you need to get on my level though, when you are, come meet me on the dance floor!" Karmen yelled as she ran off, hooking her arm in some guys and disappearing into the crowd. Jenessa laughed to herself at the sight before taking another shot.

As the night went on, and everyone progressively got drunker, Jenessa found her way to the dance floor. She hadn't seen Paige all night despite seeing everyone else, they said she was around, but JJ couldn't find her. The brunette found it strange, and the alcohol flowing through her system made it so all she wanted to do was see Paige, memories resurfacing.

"Nessa! How are you girl!" Karmen yelled, words slurred as she sloppily danced. "Im good, I think we may be on similar levels now." Jenessa laughed, feeling the room spin around her.

The room was dark, flashing colourful lights filling it. The music so loud it entered your blood system, causing Jenessa to quickly be entranced by it and swaying her hips.

Her arms and hands caressed her body, she threw her head back with a smile on her face. OMG by Jae Millz blasting as she sung the lyrics, bodies bumping against her as they danced around.

Everyone began clapping to the beat as the intro played, the brunette swung her body around, hips rocking back and forth, arms in the air. She recreated the lyrics with her moves, absolutely absorbing the atmosphere. She slowly lowered herself to the ground, once she was completely crouched, she ran her fingers against the ground before popping back up. Arching and sticking her ass out, Karmen 'whooped' in response and Jenessa laughed.

After about a minute, JJ felt strong hands grip her waist. A stench of weed and alcohol filling her nostrils, her face grimaced in disgust as she drunkenly tried to shove the hands away. But instead she got pulled in tighter, her back pressing against the stranger. "Let go of me." She slurred, her head beginning to ache.

"Oh cmon pretty lady, your shoving your ass in everyone's faces, dancing all sexually and you expect me to just sit there? You're asking for this hun." The man laughed and strengthened his grip. Jenessa suddenly felt a surge of fear, realizing she wasn't safe.

Her shoves got progressively more intense, causing the man to spin her to face him, ripping on her arm in the process. "Settle down. Stop being a bitch." His voice was deep, and rough. Causing a shiver to run down her spine.

"Let, me, go!" She frantically pulled and squirmed, trying to break free. "She said, let go." Paiges voice rung out from behind her.

She quickly got shoved away from the man, he scoffed and flipped the two of them off. Jenessa whipped around and looked up at Paige, her blue eyes not meeting the brunettes, instead staring as he walked off.

The look on her face was enough to bring tears to Jenessas eyes, Paiges eyelids were heavy, face stone cold, a deadly glare in her eyes. JJ gently placed her hand on the blondes chest. "Paige?" She whispered.

Snapping out of her trance, the girls face visibly softened as she looked down at Jenessa and her frantic state. "Im so sorry." She securely wrapped her arms around the smaller girl, JJ rested her head in the crook of Paiges neck, instantly feeling at home.

"You wanna get out of here?" Paiges voice softly spoke into the brunettes ear, and she nodded quickly.

Once they stepped out and into the crisp air of the night, Jenessa felt the sick feeling wear off. "Thank you Paige, honestly. I- I don't know what would've happened if you weren't there." She choked out.

"I will always, be there Jenessa."

A peaceful silence overcame the two, but Jenessa's red leather jacket proved to not provide much warmth as she shivered. "Are you cold? Here, take my hoodie." Paige noticed and tore her black hoodie over her head. "Are you sure? I dont want you to be cold. My mistake for wearing a jean mini skirt." JJ lightly laughed.

"Certain." Paige smiled warmly at the girl as she gently pushed it into the brunettes hands. She mumbled a thank you as she pulled it on, heat instantly overcoming her. It smelled like Paige.

They finally arrived back at the dorm, Paige was walking towards her room until Jenessa grabbed her wrist, causing her to turn her head. Nothing but their breathing filled the silence as they stared into each other's eyes. Jenessa felt her breath hitch, forgetting what she wanted to say as she looked into those deep blues.

"Um, thank you. Again. Seriously."

"It was nothing JJ, you don't have to thank me. Im just glad you're safe." She crookedly smiled as Jenessa dropped her wrist. "Goodnight." She continued. "Come here loser." The brunette laughed and pulled her into an embrace, her arms loosely draped on her shoulders as Paiges snaked around her waist. Once they pulled away, JJ pressed a soft kiss to her cheek and walked into her room.

Paige silently thanked god the dorm was dark so Jenessa couldn't see her bright pink cheeks. She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding as her fingertips grazed her cheek where the brunettes lips just were and her heart skipped a beat.

Paige fell asleep with her mind racing with thoughts, full of one specific girl that always knew how to catch her off guard.
