JENESSA SCROLLED through the comments for awhile, they had another game coming up against NC State, she was proud of how she played for the season opener. She smiled as most of the comments were happy ones, and she only came across a few hateful ones which fans tore apart anyways.

She had just finished up her morning class with Karmen, and the two were walking out. "Whatcha looking at?" The small blonde poked at Jenessa's arm. "Oh, just the comments on the team's post about our game." She shrugged, turning off her phone and sliding it in the back pocket of her baggy jeans.

"You guys won that, yeah?" Karmen asked, JJ laughed softly and nodded her head, Karmen was an absolute ditz when it came to the sport she loved, but she didn't mind. It was refreshing to have someone who didn't really care about the sport, but instead just supported her endlessly.

"102-58, it was an amazing game to kick off our season." The brunette smiled at Karmen's astonished reaction. "Holy shit, thats a HUGE gap in points!"

"Yeah, Dayton's alright, it was clear they hadn't fully connected as a team though. And i mean cmon, we're in the basketball capital of the world. Uconn's always one of the teams to beat." She shrugged, a warm buzz in her heart of confidence.

"Well, im super proud of you!! You free tonight?" She asked. "Not at all, sorry Karmen, I've got loads of homework and weight room." Jenessa pouted, rubbing her friend's shoulder apologetically. "All good, I know you're a D1 athlete and is bound to be busy, just don't be a stranger!" Karmen yelled as she began walking away, JJ waved and blew a kiss as goodbye.

After a gruelling 4 hours of homework, Jenessa threw on a pair of maroon shorts and a black lululemon sports bra, and black compression shirt over top. Her hair was up in a bun on the crown of her head and she grabbed her keys and left the dorm room, Paige had already left since she needed to go early and check in with the physiotherapist.

Once she arrived, she ran into Azzi and Aaliyah on the way in. The three chatting and giggling, they saw Ines, Paige, Ashlynn, and KK all stretching on the floor.

Jenessa placed her bag on the ground and sat between the two freshman, joining them in the stretch. "Hey girly pop!" KK's booming voice sounded out. "Hi KK!" She replied, matching the girls energy.

After everyone arrived and were all warmed up, their athletic trainer handed out their sheets with separate exercises and workouts depending on how they needed to improve. Jenessa got straight to the squat rack and loaded on 15 pounds on each side to warm up.

Her airpod's were blasting music as she lifted the bar onto her shoulders, bending her legs until she was as low as she could go, then slowly pulling up. She did 8 sets before putting an extra 20 pounds on each side and repeating herself.

Sweat began to layer on her skin once she stepped on the treadmill, she jogged for 15 minutes, then did a sprint for 5, repeating that three times. Jumping off and plopping down onto the floor, Jenessa caught her breath and basically inhaled almost all of her water bottle.

Her eyes wandered the gym, landing on a certain blonde doing bench presses. She couldn't be more than 10 feet away. Jenessa stared intently as Paige lowered the bar down to her chest, biceps flexing and hard earned muscles showing. Sweat glistening her skin and highlighting every detail of her arms. JJ could've passed out dead at that moment if she hadn't torn her eyes away unwillingly.

She placed a hand on her chest and breathes deeply, trying to calm down her racing heart. "Gay panic?" KK teased as she leaned against the treadmill, staring down at the brunette. "Oh shut up!" Jenessa squealed and backhanded the younger girls leg. "You didn't deny it-" KK smirked but it quickly turned into a look of fear as JJ darted up, she ran off screaming and Jenessa chased her, the girls were left alone in the weight room without any coaches or trainers, so no one was around to yell at them for goofing off.

"HELP! AN ANGRY CRAZY WOMAN IS CHASING ME!" KK yelled, catching the attention of everyone as they watched the scene unfold. Jenessa's long legs easily caught up to KK, the brunette launched herself and basically tackled her to the ground. Immediately tickling her sides. "No! No! This is torture! Stop! STOP!" KK screamed out between unwilling laughs. "Apologize!" Jenessa giggled at the sight.

"Okay, okay! Im sorry! Forgive me please, i'm so sorry. Lord save me!" Jenessa leaned onto one knee and swung the other over KK's body, freeing her from the hold and she scrambled up.

"What on earth did you do KK?" Ines laughed as she was bumped into. "I just teased her! A harmless little gay joke." KK pouted, flinging her arms around Ines as she whined. "What?" Paige spoke, her eyes squinting intently. "Nothing!" Jenessa choked out, immediately nervous.

"Mhm, nothing." KK smirked, dragging her words out.

"Care to explain why none of you are working right now? Back to it!" Geno stood in the doorway, arms crossed. Everyone's faces went pink as they quickly got back to their machines and or weights.

After about 2 hours, they finished off their workout with some more stretching. "Oh fuck." Jenessa breathed out as she stretched her quads, an annoyingly painful burning sensation filling her body.

Paige's mouth practically watered at the sight, just across the small circle from her was the girl she so desperately craved, panting, cheeks flushed red, hair messy and sticking to her face. Sweat dripping across her body, in nothing but a sports bra and shorts.

Jenessa's eyebrows were furrowed and her eyes were squeezed shut as she quietly cursed. Paige's head filled with dirty thoughts, imagining what it'd be like to have the brunette underneath her looking like that again. She chugged back her cold water, hoping to cool her steaming body and mind.

Jenessa was sprawled out in her bed, books and papers surrounding her, a pen in her hand and laptop shining at her face. Karmen's back was pressed against the headboard, in similar shambles as the brunette.

"Why's college so hard." She groaned, leaning her head back. "Tell me about it, Ive been stuck on the same question for 15 minutes." Jenessa laughed dryly, pushing herself off her stomach and onto her bum. She adjusted her blue light glasses and tightened the messy bun on her head.

A knock on her door makes the two girls look over at it. "Come in." Jenessa called out, Paige creaked the door open. "Im ordering pizza, you guys want anything?" She asked, leaning against the doorframe in her grey sweatpants and white t-shirt.

"Uh, sure! Cheese please, we'll share." Jenessa smiled lightly, Paige nodded then walked away, shutting the door behind her.

"Im straight, but for that girl? Id give women a go." Karmen whispered, JJ rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You're an idiot." She laughed.

The two ate their pizza once it arrived, and quickly passed out after that. Not even bothering to move all of their books and stuff off the bed. Karmen's arm and leg were hanging off the side, Jenessa's head was at the end of the bed as she was on her stomach, face on the keyboard of her laptop.

It was quite the sight to see as Paige opened the door after not receiving an answer as she knocked. A soft smile formed on her face as she pulled the laptop out from under Jenessa, she cleared off the rest of the stuff and placed it all on the brunettes desk.

Paige noticed the glasses crookedly sitting on JJ's face and carefully pulled them off, leaving them on the bedside table. Then tucking loose strands of Jenessa's hair behind her ear. "You're so beautiful." She whispered, knowing the brunette wouldn't hear it anyways.

Paige retreated to her own room after shutting off the lights and leaving the two exhausted girls alone, hoping they'll have a better sleep after she cleaned up.
