authors note; I added the picture with all the names and members of the Tacoma Charter above so you can always take a look and check the faceclaim if I mention one of them!

There will be only one chapter left of this story and that makes me kinda sad but they deserve a happy ending and no more drama. 🖤

So, you want my okay to kill Kayla's mother?” Lee looked at Happy with a raised eyebrow, almost an amused look on his face. Happy was one of his best guys, someone he would always back up. “Why would you even ask?”

“Because if it fires back I need your word on something”, Happy answered with a simple shrug, aware that Lee would always stand by his side.

“And that would be?”, the older one inquired, tapping his finger against his lips. “And why should it even fire back? That woman has no one left. She's always been crazy, it just got worse after Kayla's death. She's got no one, Happy. I doubt anyone would notice.”

“That bad?” If that was really the case and Kayla's mother wouldn't be missed by anyone it would make lot of things easier for him and there was a smaller chance that it could fire back.

“Yeah. And she made lots of enemies over the past months. Just don't leave fingerprints and you should be fine.” But Lee knew that Happy wasn't stupid, he wasn't their SAA for nothing. His nickname said it all. That man wouldn't be the club's enforcer if he'd be too stupid to cover up a murder.

“That's perfect”, he rasped, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he thought about putting a bullet in that woman's head. And as promised, he would let Cassie help him.

“If you need any help let me know, got it?”, Lee told him seriously, pushing his chair back with his weight so he could get up. “I want you, Cassie and the little guy at my house later, Sam's making dinner.”

“We'll be there. Tell her to make some more for Ope, that dog loves her food.” Once Happy was back on his feet he straightened his Kutte, slapping Lee on the back before both left chapel to get back to the others who were scattered around the clubhouse. Only his Old Lady, Beck and Sally, Beck's Old Lady, were gone.

“Hey, where's Cassie?”, the SAA looked at Derek who sat closest to him with his feet on the table, a cigarette hanging between his lips.

“Said she needed to get something from town and Sally needed some stuff, too”, he explained, smoke slipping past his lips with each word he spoke. “Cassie told us about Kayla's mom, that's why Beck went with them.”

“That woman can't wait a few minutes”, he grumbled, running a hand over his face. Sitting down with a grunt, he accepted that he had to wait for her. If Beck wouldn't be with them he'd get to town and bring her ass back here and tell her not so do that shit again. “Where's my kid? She took him with her?”

“Nah, the women are all raving about him. They're outside at the playground with him”, Dwight chuckled, sitting down with them and barking orders at the prospect to get them three beers.

“No wonder, that's my son”, Happy smirked proudly, but would check on Callum as soon as he had finished his beer. It was weird how he couldn't even sit in peace for longer than half an hour without checking on his son or Old Lady. The killer only felt calm enough when he knew they were safe.

“Hurry up and add another one”, Kozik called after the prospect as he sat down and leaned back with a contented sigh after coming out of his room.

The other three just smirked as the blonde winked at Jenna, who came downstairs just a few moments later. That meant she was with Kozik and all of them knew what happened behind closed doors.

“When are you going to ask her out? It hurts to watch how you look at her all the time through  your rose colored glasses but don't dare to make a move”, Derek said with a grin and stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray. “Don't he a fuckin' pussy, man.”

“There is nothing between us. We're just having fun”, Kozik shrugged, the grin on his lips saying otherwise.

“Don't bullshit yourself”, Happy's raspy laugh echoed through the main room, followed by the laughter of the other two.

Rolling his eyes, Kozik raised his arms in surrender, chuckling as he did so. “Maybe you're right. I'm still thinking about how to ask her out.”

“Mmm..sure”, Dwight grinned and got punched on the arm from Kozik, after he just laughed and shook his head. “Just fucking ask her, man. She won't bite your head off.”

It was exactly this atmosphere that Happy had missed in Charming. He got along with everyone in Cali and there was a feeling of brotherhood, but not like here. Here in Tacoma everyone was much closer, way more relaxed. There was less fighting, no arguments between brothers, which had often happened in Charming. And he was glad to be back.

That stupid bitch”, Cassie snorted after she spotted Kayla's mom in the parking lot after Sally, Beck and her left the grocery store. Sally had a bag full of groceries while Cassie only had a small paper bag. She didn't want to tell Happy about what she needed earlier, it would only get his hopes up. That's why she left when he was talking to Lee.

Since she was a week overdue, which was anything but normal given her cycle was always pretty accurate, she had gotten a pregnancy test. Although she wanted to go back to work soon to bring some money home, she would be happy if she were pregnant. After seeing how much you can love a child and that she wasn't alone but had Happy and a great family, this time she wouldn't be afraid.

“Let me handle this. You and Sally wait in the car”, Beck ordered, his tone serious. Cassie was with Happy, and she was Tacoma royalty, it was his duty to protect her as much as his own Old Lady. Yet Cassie had other plans.

“Fuck that, Beck”, the Lowman  woman said stubbornly, handing her friend the small paper bag before she walked straight up to the older woman who was scowling at her. Beck just mumbled something incoherent and shook his head with a sigh before he followed the brunette, pulling her back quickly as the older woman lashed out immediately.

“Why do you women always have to be so aggressive?”, he grumbled and pushed Cassie behind him. His eyes bored into the woman in front of him. “You better back off and leave Cassie alone before I deal with you.”

“You think I'm scared of you filthy bikers? I have nothing to lose”, the woman spat back, spit splattering over her lips with every word, which Beck wiped from his face in disgust. Cassie could smell the alcohol in Bethany's breath and wrinkled her nose.

The brunette pushed past Beck and shoved the older woman against the parked car behind Kayla's mom. She probably lived in there, at least that's what it looked like through the windows. Kind of sad, but that woman threatened her son, which made it hard for Cassie to feel any sympathy for the woman.

“Let me tell you something, Bethany”, Cassie hissed, her green eyes radiating anger and disgust instead of the usual friendliness. “If you keep threatening my family or say another word about my son, we have a problem and I don't care if someone sees it or not.”

“Oh, there's the real Cassie, huh? The one that killed my daughter!” Bethany's laugh sounded sick, the coughing in between didn't make it any better. After a fit of coughing, she turned back to Cassie, her eyes lifeless and numb. “I will get justice for my daughter. You better keep an eye on your son.”

“You fucking⸺”

“Cassie, that's enough!” Beck jerked the brunette away from the older one as they got more and more attention from people gathered in the parking lot. He gave Bethany another warning look. “Stay away or you'll regret it.”

He struggled to get Cassie back to Sally's car and thanks to his Old Lady's calm demeanor, they even managed to calm the brunette down a bit and persuade her to head back to the club before anyone did something they would regret later.

Happy seethed after he heard what had happened while Cassie was out and that Bethany followed them here. That bitch really wasn't afraid of a clubhouse full of bikers and that made her even more dangerous. She had to go and he had an idea.

He gently shoved her upstairs towards his dorm room, that they only used when there was a lockdown, which rarely ever happened here, or if they had to put down Callum when he got tired, and closed the door behind them.

Running his hands over his head, he watched Cassie sitting a babbling Callum down on his play mat before she shoved her hands on the back pockets of her jeans, uncertainty in her eyes that got him even more worried.

“What's wrong, little girl?”, he asked, pulling her closer by her wrist once he calmed down a bit. “We're taking care of Bethany, you don't have to worry about her. I already know how.”

“It's not just that, Hap”, she said sheepishly, snuggling against him a little before she raised a brow at him. “Yeah? How? And what do you mean by 'we'? You're letting me help?”

“I told you we're doing this together”, he replied simply but before he would tell her about his plan, he wanted to know what was going on with his wife. “What's the other problem? Do I need to be worried?”

“No”, she shook her head with a small smile. Knowing that he wouldn't mind another kid, she didn't need to be scared that he could get mad at her for getting pregnant. “I still haven't gotten my period..”, she murmured hesitantly. “That's why I needed to get to town. I bought a pregnancy test.”

Hope formed in his eyes when she said those words and just like with Callum back then, he would be happy about this child, too. He had secretly hoped that Cassie would want a second child in the future, but had also respected her decision that she wanted to go back to work first. For now, however, he hid his excitement a little longer and looked at her with a frown.

“Have you taken the test yet?”, he wanted to know, his hands now resting on her hips. He even forgot about Bethany for a moment.

“No, I wanted to tell you about it first. Want me to do it now?”, she looked up at him questioningly, sinking her teeth into her lower lip, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Happy nodded eagerly, a little too eagerly. That already gave away his excitement, which only made Cassie smirk. “Yeah, I want to know if our little man over there will have a sibling soon”, he rasped with a wink.

After she disappeared into the bathroom with the small paper bag and quickly took the test, she waved Happy into the bathroom and leaned against the sink with her arms crossed, the test was on the washing machine.

“When can we check?” Cassie found it amusing to watch Happy pacing around nervously, running a hand over his face every few seconds. She, on the other hand, was relatively calm and just waited the five minutes. Still⸺ it were really long five minutes.

“Now”, the brunette said when the five minutes were up, reaching for the test but not looking at it just yet. Only when Happy stood next to her a few seconds later did she dare to look at the result together with him.

Before she could even react, she was turned around by Happy, her face firmly in his hands as he smashed his lips onto hers, his fingers digging lightly into her skin. The kiss was short, yet it held so much emotion that Cassie's knees got weak and threatened to give in. God, she loved that man.

“I know it's going to be a girl this time”, he whispered close to her lips, entwining her again in a kiss that she had to pull away from after a while to catch her breath. Then she chuckled softly and wrapped her arms around his waist.

“You can't know that”, she whispered lovingly and hummed happily. “You know that having a toddler and a baby is pretty tough, right?”

“I just have a feeling.” He looked down at her with a grin and shook his head. “Don't ruin the mood, woman. You know we can do it together.”

“I know we can”, she said confidently with a sincere smile on her lips. “We're really going to be parents again.”

“Damn right”, he agreed proudly, squeezing her hips as he planted a kiss on her forehead. Seeing that she wasn't disappointed, wasn't scared and was also happy was probably the best thing that could have happened.
