FAYE HAD CHOSEN TO WALK TO SCHOOL TODAY, she had told Ali that she'd see her at school, she just wanted to walk today. As she was outside the school, she saw the new kid that got beaten by Johnny and his cronies. "Hey, new kid!" She shouts capturing his attention. He turns and stares at her with wide eyes as he was finished tying his bike to the pole.

"H–Hey." He mutters, "I'm surprised that...you're uh, talking to me."

Faye gave him a sympathetic look, "of course, I don't care about reputation. What he did to you last night was wrong." She internally winces as she saw his black eyes from the side of his shades.

"Thanks." He held out his hand, "I'm Daniel, Daniel Larusso."

She smiles, "Faye O'Riley." They both shake hands, she couldn't help but grin, "need help on getting to the office for your schedule?"

"That would be great, thanks." Both of them turn around and stop when they saw five boys. The caramel – haired girl sighs, they were distracted this was their chance to leave unseen. She grabbed Daniel's hand and went the other way, she couldn't be bothered for another scene to break out, it was bad enough that they had started to talk to her again.

She took him to the office and waited patiently as the older woman talked to him, "have a nice day, sweetie." She said as he took his timetable. He shows it to Faye who smiles when she sees that he'd be in some of her classes.

"See ya later, Danny!" She said as she heard the bell heading to her homeroom. She walks into the class and sees Susan waving her over.

"Where were you?" She asks as she pulls out a seat for her friend.

Faye gives her a grin, "I was with the new kid." Susan rolls her eyes and groans slamming her hands down on the table earning some eyes.

"You....you were with that kid that Johnny beat up!" She stares at Faye flabbergasted. "Are you kidding me?"

"Oh, hush, he's not that bad." She ignored her friends looks shock. She rolls her eyes and began to listen to the teacher who had just walked in.

"Psst, hey! Hey, Faye!" The girl bites her tongue and scowls, they've been bothering and cornering her all day. Could they really not take the hint? She didn't want to talk to them, she was starting to get agitated.

"C'mon Tommy, she doesn't want to talk to us." Jimmy mumbles behind her, damn right.

"I just want to ask her why she was with Larusso." Had he seen her?

Next thing she knew, she was being hit by tiny paper balls. She put the back of her pen and tapped it a few times on her lip, they were starting to get to her. Faye looked down at her math sheet, she was done, all she had to do was cheerleading tryouts, she didn't like it but at least she didn't have nothing to do. She put her hand up making the teacher look towards her. "I'm finished, may I go to tryouts?" The teacher nods, she picked up her things and handed the sheet towards the woman and left.

She heads down to her locker and put all her work and folders away, she took out her gym uniform and went to the changing rooms. She put on her sleeveless grey-hoodie and green pair of shorts. She put on her white running shoes and put her hair up into a ponytail.

Faye walked outside and met Ali who had heard about her and the new kid. Susan could not keep her mouth shut so she wasn't surprised, "his name is Daniel by the way."

"Daniel." Ali whispers. Faye wrinkles her nose, ew love.

"Oh, look, here he comes." She said watching as Ali snapped back into reality and gasp fixing her outfit. The brunette rolls her eyes.

She watches Ali grab a ball and walk over to Daniel holding up a soccer ball. "Hey, think fast." She said causing him to turn around and quickly catch the ball she had threw.

She listened to them talk, she had a dopey smile on her face, this was the cutest thing she had ever seen and possibly awkward. Faye shakes her head at Ali's attempt to flirt, she watches as the ball bounces on her knee, she chuckles. "Cheerleads over here!" A voice calls out causing Faye and Ali to make eye contact.

"–Hey, you got a name?"

"Ali with an 'i'." Faye chuckles at the response her friend got. These two were going to be a wild ride and she wants to be there to see it happen, it was like going to see a movie.

"Hope you make the team, Danny!" She shouts over to him, he grins at her while she waves and joins the girls in line. She got a little distracted when she saw Jimmy and Tommy staring at her before Johnny was making a kill sign to Bobby about Daniel.

She knows they're planning something awful, they always do. Ali nudges her to start practicing which she does but she keeps her focus on Daniel and the Cobras. She and Ali cheer, but instead of doing a backflip she chose to do a cartwheel earning whistles and teasing from the other girls.

A whistle caught the attention of the caramel-haired girl and the blonde, this turns their attention back on the soccer tryouts. Faye smiles when she sees Daniel has the ball but frowns when she saw Bobby purposely trip him up. She gasps when she watches the new kid loose his temper and tackle her old friend down into the grass, the coach blew his whistle as Daniel gave a punch to the boy.

"Coach, did you see what he was doing to Bobby!" Tommy shouts sneering down at Daniel, Faye saw the new kid getting pulled forcefully off of Bobby.

"I'm gonna kill em!" She flinches at the angry look on Bobby, but was glad the team held him back.

Watching Daniel argue she looks over to her right meeting eyes with Johnny before glaring at him with hatred. In the corner of her eyes, she watched Ali's blurred figure look at her, she ignores the girls words as she left to see if Daniel was okay.

"Faye! Cheer-tryouts!" Barbra shouts out, she waved the brunette off. She didn't want to do them anyways, she'd rather make sure Daniel was okay.

She could hear the girls calling her name, but they grew faint as she speed-walks to try and catch up Daniel. She had to know if he was alright, he didn't deserve this.

She saw his figure slide down one of the lockers as he sighs in defeat, "Danny?" His head snaps up to look at her, he rushed to stand up and looked away from her embarrassed. "Are you alright?"

"I don't know." He mumbles, his eyes meet her friendly blue ones and smiles softly. "I wish I was back home, I don't like it here, I mean....you're great, but I don't belong here."

Faye smiles sympathetically, she walks closer to him and gave a comforting hug, she didn't know what else to do. She wasn't exactly good with sad things since it was a touchy subject, but she guided him back to the locker rooms.

"H-How about we get changed and then we can go for a walk?" She questions. "I'll fill you in on some things."

"Yeah, I'd like that." His big doe eyes shine with hope, "thank you."

"No problem."

"Thanks again for walking me home," Daniel smiles shyly at her.

Faye gives him a toothy-grin as she was fixing her backpack, "no problem. I've missed walking home with someone, normally a friend drives me up the road." She chuckles at his reddened cheeks.

"I- sorry for getting so upset at school today." He says shoving his hands into his pockets, "I felt humiliated."

"It's fine," she said running her hand through her hair. "They're a bunch of douchebags."

Daniel stares at her, "were you uh...dating one of them?"

Faye scoffs, "me date them? As if! We used to be best friends...until they thought they were too good for me." She says glaring at the ground as she watches both their shadows on the path. "They threw me away like trash....and treated me like I was a stranger."

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." He says looking at her clenched fists that have now turned white.

"It's alright," she sighs. "somebody was gonna tell you anyways."

Daniel stops and lays a comforting hand upon her shoulder causing her to look at him with wide eyes. She smiles and pulls him in for a short hug, he hesitated at first, but after a couple of seconds he wrapped his arms around her. Both stood like that for a few minutes before she pulls away, her bright eyes stare at his doe ones.

"So," she wiggles her eyebrows. "I've seen the way you've been looking at Ali, you got a crush?"

Suddenly, he stammers on his words. "What! N-no...uh-I'm. I don't know really." He says blushing walking away from her.

She laughs and runs after him, "c'mon! You can tell me, I promise not to tell anyone!"

"She's not interested in me." He said as they reached his home.

"But you're interested in her!" She laughs, "believe me Danny, she's obsessed with you!"

Daniel stares back at her with amusement, "see you the morrow at school?"

"I can meet you here and you can give me a ride on the back of your bike." She says eyeing the peddle bike in his hands with grin.

He smiles brightly, "sure!"

"See ya later, Danny!"
