THE NEXT DAY, FAYE'S AUNT DROPPED HER OFF AT SCHOOL where she had been looking for Daniel first thing, she wondered if he was alright from what the boys had done to him last night. Ali soon found her wandering with a frown upon her usually bright face, "you alright?"

Faye shrugs, "could've been better." She says walking along side the blonde to go and get Barbra and Susan, "hey, have you seen Daniel around?"

"No, I haven't seen him since yesterday, why?" She asks as the two girls came into view.

"I was talking with him yesterday, but it's nothing to worry about." The smaller girl shakes her head as their friends walked over.

"Hey, girls!" Barbra squeals hugging them while Susan; a girl who didn't do much hugging just nodded at them.

"Morning." Ali and Faye say at the same time, giving each other a look before letting out a laugh.

Susan came to stand next to Faye, "how's the head?"

"It's good, it was just a bump." With that they all started to walk along the outside corridors to go to their first classes.

Barbra suddenly began talking once more, "you guys remember Dennis Yale, right? Well, he asked me out on a date!"

"Where you guys goin'?" Susan asks.

"We're going to a really fancy restaurant!" She squeals out causing the other girls to gasp excitedly.

"You better tell us details tomorrow!" Faye pretends to say threateningly, pointing her finger to her.

"I promise I will!"

Ali joins in this time, "you better!"

The three girls say bye to Barbra as they left her as she went into her first class. The girls couldn't help but be excited for their friend – this ended when Susan began to try to sway Faye into telling her what happened with Bobby. Ali suddenly seemed interested too, but she was also very concerned, knowing what was probably running through her head.

"Hey! How you doing!" A familiar voice snapped them out of their talk.

Faye looks at Daniel and gasps at his injury, but he turns to her and shakes his head not to say anything, he was just glad that she wasn't hurt either.

"Oh! What happened to your forehead?" Ali asks staring at him with concerned eyes.

"It's terrible." He jokes, "a giant runaway zit." Causing Faye and Ali to crack up while Susan was not impressed, she mentioned something about it being gross making the small girl next to her roll her eyes.

"No, really, tell me what happened." Ali demanded softly.

"A bike accident." The blonde haired girls eyes widened and was about to question Faye who didn't look into her eyes, she was happy that Susan changed the conversation.

"What kind of bike do you have, Daniel? A Honda? Suzuki? What?" She suddenly seemed interested. Susan was always the one to be interested in all mechanics.

"No, uh, it's a Miyagi Turbo, actually." He says creating a name, Faye tries not to cackle and hide her smile in her hands as they turned the corner.

Ali seemed to get it, but Susan's smile disappeared. "Well, we're going to the arcade after school, wanna come?"

"Sure, sounds great!" Daniel exclaims, Faye tunes them out when she saw them in her eyesight. She grabs onto Ali's hand tightly, causing the group to stop when they noticed them too.

She could hear Daniel stutter excuses, trying to make it seem like he wasn't running away. She felt so bad, she wasn't pitying him, but the situation instead. She watches as he walks away while Ali calls upon him.

"Get off my case!" He shouts. Faye shakes her head, he has quite the temper. She knew he shouldn't have shouted, but understood that he didn't want to start anything else.

Ali and Faye turn towards each other shrugging. Susan raises her eyebrows at the both of them, but gives a nudge to Faye and mumbles, "they're looking over here at you, girl."

"She's not wrong." Ali joins in. The two wrap an arm around the small girl who tucked her books into her chest and holds her head high. She was going to turn around and pretend they're not there.

"C'mon, girls we have class." She says turning around and looking at the both of them with a tight–lipped smile. She could see in the corner of her eyes, that they were looking in her direction, she gave an awkward chuckle and began to drag her friends into the shared class they have.

"Faye, I'm jealous, you have five good looking guys who want you." Susan says as Faye scoffs when they walk past them. "And I don't think they mind sharing you."

"Gross." Faye mumbles, while Ali eyes widened at their friends use of words. She blushes for the girl who was now glaring at the dark haired girl as she was trying to tell Faye to think about it. "Come on, let's get to Maths."

━━━━━━

As they had gotten to Maths, Susan took her seat next to some random girl while Ali and Faye sat in their seats across the room from the dark haired girl. It didn't take long for Johnny and Bobby to walk in, their eyes were immediately on Faye who ignored them by talking with Ali. They were seated behind the two girls and began chuckling about something.

Everyone had pulled out their things and started to copy down notes the teacher wrote down on the board. Faye was a little distracted throughout the whole session; Ali kept asking what had happened to Daniel, she kept thinking back to last night and was being paranoid by the two boys behind her. She was seriously out of it.

The girl next to her kept an eye on her, touching her shoulder every now and then to make sure she was alright. Faye narrows her eyes at the clock and bounces her fingers upon the table, she jumps when something bounced off of her head and onto the table. She turns her head to see what it was. A paper-ball....how mature. Ali and herself made eye contact and rolled their eyes, but it made her snap out of her sulky mood as another one landed in front of her.

She grabbed it with her left hand, and kept her glance on the teacher – opening the ball gently, trying not to make a sound with it. She tapped her pen against the sheet slightly and glanced down; 'are you ok?' Was written down upon it, she scowls and crumples it back up.

"I want this class to be over." Faye grumbles next to her friend who go chuckles quietly. "I hate math."

Ali glances back at Faye who seemed to have been forcing a small smile, "you only hate it because nobody gives you the answers."

"English is better." She sighs, "better teacher too, this one is too depressing for me."

Ali rolls her eyes and offers a playful smile, "she's not that bad."

"Oh yeah? How come the room was bright, but when she walks in the mood darkens." She jokes, Ali bites her lip and giggles loudly.

Ali and herself again made eye contact in the corner of their eyes when they had heard the boys quietly laugh behind them from her words. The blonde besides her wiggled her eyebrows causing the other to raise an eyebrow and roll her eyes.

"So, you still up for the arcade after school?" Ali questions as it was time for them to pack up their stuff.

Faye nods as she puts everything back into the folder she carries, "yeah! I'm free for the week since my Aunt got that promotion."

Susan walked over to their desk and started to listen into their conversation. "Hey, Susan!" Faye says as she and Ali got out of their seats and pushed them under the desk and started to head out the class.

"Double History with Miss Prescott." Faye hums, she not had that class ever. But she's only got it on Thursday's, "please tell me you both have it!"

The girls shake their heads, the smaller one groans. "We'll see you at lunch though, alright?"

"Okay." She whines as she turns left by herself, she sadly, but dramatically watched the girls meet up with Barbra. She huffed and crossed her arms heading for the class. She had to go up a floor and then take a right and it was just at the staircase.

"You must be Faye!" A woman's voice startled her from her thoughts causing her to look up. The woman was it her 20's and her black hair was passed her shoulders, she wore a red dress and some brown Mary-Jane shoes. Her glasses were on the bridge of her nose as she stares down at her. "I'm Miss Prescott, I am very happy to have you in my class. Finally, I won't have to be the only girl in this room."

"Only girl?" Faye questions.

"Ah, I had this class last week and I was the only female, but it's good to see that you are in." Faye gave a tight lipped smile, she licked her bottom lip.

'You have got to be kiddin' me.' Came from her thoughts as she was led into the class, she saw a few of the boys that were with Daniel on the beach that night and the five boys she despises most. 'Why has the world turned against me.'

Miss Prescott and Faye walked into the classroom drawing attention to them, she takes a deep breath through her nose and keeps her gaze on the teacher. Ignoring the looks of every boy in that room, well – almost. She would give small smiles to the small blonde boy who sat next to Freddy, the asshat who started to make fun of Daniel over some karate moves.

"Well, good to see everyone here. I'm sure everyone knows Faye," she says waving her hands towards the girl who was trying not to face palm. She gave the teacher an awkward smile, "you could sit right over there for me." She spoke pointing over to the window.

She nods and heads over there after grabbing a book the teacher had given her. She grabbed an empty jotter her homeroom teacher had given her for all of her classes, and then pulled out her pen. She concentrated on the teacher and what she was talking about – ignoring the murmurs of deep voices talking around her. She hated this being the only girl student in the class.

"I'll be back in a moment." Miss Prescott said as she got up from her chair, "just read over the passage in your books and write down in you're own words of what you think it means."

Once she was out the door, the talking all began at once, Faye sucked on her bottom lip at writing down a small paragraph of what the passage meant. She jumps startled when one of them called her name, "hey, Faye."

She looked up and noticed Freddy Fernandez, the boy that lived in the same apartment complex as Daniel, but ignored him after he was humiliated at the beach. She raised an eyebrow, "what do you want?"

"Well I was just telling my friends here that you were at the complex talking to Daniel, and even went on his bike to school with him the other day." He says while his friends lean in close.

"Yeah, that's true." She says narrowing her eyes on him, "what's it to you? Last time I checked you're not even his friend and it isn't any of your business." She says looking at her nails and giving him her best poker face.

He seemed silent, but there was shock written all over her face. "Just wanted to check to see if you're dating him. I mean why are you even interested in him?"

"I'm not dating him," she said staring right at the jerk. "I'm interested in him because he's the most kindest – descent boy in this school that isn't an asshole. He's my best friend and something you'll never be, face it Fernandez, you only ditched him because he was getting all the pretty girls, right? This isn't about the beach fight, it's because you're jealous of the new kid who's getting all the attention." She said with an attitude. She loved being petty and sometimes people needed to be put in their place.

The boy was stunned, his mouth was opening and closing – he looked like he was mimicking a fish. She couldn't help but inwardly smirk, it took everything for her not to laugh at how embarrassed he looked. She smiles sweetly at him before going back to writing. Faye realised that everyone was staring at her in disbelief or amusement, she ignored it though, in fact she didn't even bat an eyelash.

"Wow." She heard Tommy whisper, "I don't wanna get on her bad side."

'Too bad, you're already on it, pal.' She thought before finishing off her sentence, Miss Prescott walks back into a stunned class who couldn't speak. She noticed some of them staring at Faye in the corner of their eyes, she smiles and goes back to teaching.
