The school buzzes with excitement today due to a basketball match featuring the college's most attractive guys, likely the biggest heartthrobs on campus.

Girls are practically swooning over them, while some boys feel jealousy. In the midst of this chaos, Vedika is pulling her uninterested best friend, Akshita, towards the basketball court.

"Come on, I don't want to go! Why can't I just hang out instead?" Akshita complained as Vedika dragged her along.

"Shut up! If you say one more word, just watch," Vedika retorted, causing Akshita to quiet down immediately.

"You're just watching, not playing," Vedika reassured her.

"Yeah, but I still don't care," Akshita replied, giving her best puppy eyes.

"Stop with those sad puppy eyes," Vedika snorted, rolling her eyes as Akshita whined in response.

They took their seats beside Kavya, who was already there. Soon, the game commenced, with Avyansh as the captain. Just seeing him made Akshita's heart race, and despite her attempts to focus elsewhere, her eyes kept wandering back to him.

"If this keeps up, I might just die," Akshita murmured under her breath.

"Did you say something?" Vedika asked from beside her.

"Me? No, not at all," Akshita replied nervously, and Vedika nodded in response. Vedika noted the way Kavya looked at Avyansh, understanding Kavya's obsession with him, yet worried about the potential fallout of her infatuation.

Kavya seemed attracted to Avyansh for his wealth and looks since he came from a wealthy family.

Meanwhile, Vedika was also concerned about Akshita's friendly demeanor.

As Akshita watched quietly, it became clear that Avyansh's team was on the verge of winning. The girls were loudly cheering his name, but he appeared completely engrossed in the game. Soon, victory was theirs.

On the other side, Avyansh and his friends were thrilled to maintain their winning streak. However, Rishab Agrawal, the captain of the rival team, approached them, burning with jealousy.

"Didn't go well for you, did it?" Avyansh taunted as Rishab walked closer, aggravating him even more.

"Tsk tsk, Avyansh Singh Rathore, you think you've won, but mark my words, one day you'll regret it," Rishabh retorted ominously before storming off, leaving Avyansh clenching his teeth in anger.
His words hold a unknown promise, which didn't settle well with Avyansh.

"Asshole," he muttered under his breath.

The group then moved over to the girls, where Kavya joined them.

"Congrats, Avyansh!" she said, and he smiled back. Akshita felt uncomfortable with their interaction but didn't voice her concerns.

"Congrats, guys!" Vedika exclaimed, hugging Siddhart, who returned the embrace.

"Nobody loves me! Come on, Avy baby, give me a hug!" Ivvan joked, wrapping his arms around Avyansh, who promptly pushed him away. Akshita shot them a disapproving look before impulsively asking,

"Are you guys dating?"

Avyansh and Ivvan both coughed in surprise and exclaimed, "What the hell?"

"You're not as innocent as I thought," Ivvan said to a mortified Akshita. "If only you knew," Kavya added.

"Let's go, or the professor will kill us," Vedika said, and they all headed to class.

Today's basketball match ended with our victory, but I couldn't shake off my dissatisfaction, particularly due to Rishab's words.

He was my greatest rival, and something about what he said felt true. I sensed that something significant was about to change all our lives.

Love had never been my priority, but I couldn't help but feel drawn to Kavya. She was genuinely nice, though there seemed to be something more I was missing.

"What's going on with you, bro?" Siddhart asked, noticing my expression.

"Nothing," I replied.

"Then why do you keep looking at Kavya like that?" he probed.

"Seriously, nothing is happening," I insisted.

"Are you falling for her?" Siddhart teased.

"Shut up! Why would I like her?"

"Because the great Avyansh Singh Rathore is smiling randomly at a girl and sneaking glances." Siddhart taunted.

"Maybe you're onto something," I admitted reluctantly.

"It's just a passing attraction, it's not love," Siddhart advised.

"Hmm."

"Don't take any bold steps. It might end up hurting you," he cautioned.

"And remember, when it comes to love, follow your heart, not your mind."

"Hmm."

Is it really love? It doesn't feel like it. For the first time, I was anxious. A single look captured my thoughts and another sound occupied my heart.

Life is full of uncertainties, and I've never felt so insecure before. If something were to happen, people would believe me, right? They wouldn't leave me after that, would they?

"Akshu, where are you lost?" Vedika's voice broke through my thoughts.

"Nowhere," I replied, resting my head on her shoulder.

"By the way, I'm going to miss you all so much. Only two months left until exams," Kavya mentioned.

"Yes, only two months left" I replied flatly.

"True, but we'll keep in touch," Siddhart reassured.

Yes, it's true-just two months left of college before we part ways. In this short time, I've formed close connections with everyone, except for Avyansh.

I can't confront him; it's a strange feeling yet so beautiful. I also learned that Kavya has a significant crush on him-she's practically obsessed. But why does that sting?

The fact that he is also giving her attention doesn't help.
