( where harry and magnolia receive their tickets to hogwarts )

"OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!" Magnolia screeches, running through the living room and out the backyard. Remus looked up from his book, while Sirius looked up from playing with cords on his new electric guitar. They looked at each other in confusion before rushing off their butts, following their daughter to the backyard.

"Woah, slow down, flower!" Sirius laughed as they saw her running up to the short fence that sat between there's and James and Lily's backyard. But then he froze at the letter. He looked at Remus, who gave him a questioning look before walking over and looking at the letter too.

"HARRY, COME OUTSIDE!"

"Wait, is that—" Remus mutters before suddenly Harry bursts out of his house with a letter.

"Did you get your Hogwarts letter too?!" Harry exclaims in excitement, showing off his letter to Magnolia.

Magnolia squeals excitedly, holding her letter tightly and Harry climbs over the fence. They don't bother opening their letter before Harry practically jumps in her arms in excitement. The two adults look at the two in confusion as Lily and James run outside with a little Daisy right behind them.

"Is Harry here?! Oh..." Lily is exasperated, furrowing her eyebrows as she sees Maggie and Harry hugging each other, shouting exclamations at each other. She slows down, walking up to the fence with a laugh.

"Hey, Wizkids! Don't scream and do not explain yourself! I almost had a panic attack!" James exclaims, almost tripping over his feet as Daisy clings to his legs. But he stops, looking at Magnolia and Harry. "Why are they hugging?"

"They both got their Hogwarts letter and now they're celebrating... together?"

"Oh, Merlin! I thought he ran off with James's Quidditch Coach application letter!" Lily laughed, crossing her arms over her chest. Sirius, Remus, and Magnolia moved to the small cottage house right beside Lily and James's... It was Sirius and James's idea when they saw the house went up for sale. It was a good move anyway, Magnolia was growing up and she's gonna need more space than that closet size room in their old apartment.

"Gryffindor! Gryffindor!" Magnolia and Harry chant, practically getting the zoomies as they run around the yard.

"You're going for the Quidditch Coach?" Remus asks James, who nods with a small grin.

"Yeah, I mean, even though I have enough inheritance to live life without a job for a lifetime, I got bored... And I love quidditch — and who else is gonna coach my son better than myself?" He remarks with a smirk, making Sirius roll his eyes.

"And if Harry doesn't want to do Quidditch?" Lily asks with a teasing grin as James and Sirius gasp dramatically.

"Woah, Evans — I think you went a little too far," Remus sarcastically states, making the two grown men nod excessively before turning to the werewolf.

"Hey, didn't you Dumbledore offer you a professor's job?"

"Yeah, supposedly I get offered this job when Mags is in her third year, but things are happening differently for the both of us this time. We both get to start at the beginning of Hogwarts in her new life. And I'll have wolfsbane this time, provided by myself since the last Maggie gave me the instructions and ingredients."

"Ew, does that mean we're gonna have to deal with Snivellous?" Suddenly, their eyes widen.

"Wait, do you think he'll recognize Magnolia and Harry? Oh! What about Malfoy?! Oh no."

"Hey, let's not worry about this — I'm sure Dumbledore and McGonagall have things figured out, I do not want to worry about my son and little Mags," Lily reassures before Sirius and Remus glance at each other, making the Potters look at them curiously.

"Are they still curious about the picture book?" James asks, clenching his jaw, glancing at the two kids sitting crisscross in front of each other in front of the field, reading their letters back and forth.

"Kind of, I caught those two snooping around my study again but I don't think it was for the book, I think it was for the chocolate I stashed for myself."

"Well, hopefully, they forget about it. When I get to Hogwarts, I plan on talking to Minnie about it. I just feel weird lying to them. It doesn't feel right we know their whole past lives." James hesitated, making the others nod in agreement.

"I mean, they're still young — who knows, what'll happen?"

"DAD! MAGGIE THINKS QUIDDITCH ISN'T COOL!"

"And the bonding is over," Lily remarks with a laugh, making them laugh with her and turn around to capture the two bickering once again.

"I DIDN'T SPIT ON YOU!"

"YES, YOU DID!" Suddenly, two other people burst through the Lupin-Black house to the backyard.

"I CAME AS SOON AS MAGS CALLED!" Regulus and Evangeline screeched, bursting through the back door as Peter came barreling through James and Lily's back door.

"HARRY CALLED!" He shouts, stopping a few seconds to catch his breath with a hand on his hip.

"I also called Ron, I convinced Arthur to get a muggle phone — I think they're all coming over," Harry added as Magnolia ran to her godfather and mother.

"MOMMY! UNCLE REGGIE!" She squeals jumping into Eva's arms before then leaning over to hug Regulus too.

"Are you gonna keep on my Slytherin legacy?" Regulus asks with a smirk, making the blonde curly-haired girl giggle as he kisses her cheek. But Sirius quickly heard, scoffing out loud.

"If my bloody daughter becomes a Slytherin, my mother is gonna come back from the dead and slap me across the face as a F-You!"

"I'm nervous," The young Lupin says, clutching onto the strap of her duffle bag around her shoulder. Remus takes a deep breath, just as nervous as his daughter before looking around the Hogwarts Express Station. He watched as parents kissed and cried their children goodbye, some even popping open a champagne bottle in celebration that they wouldn't have to deal with their children for a while.

"Hey, don't worry, flower. You have Harry, Ron, and me — you have nothing to worry about, I promise." He reassures the honey-blonde girl. She forces a smile before being practically tackled into a hug.

"Look at you! Still short as ever, little wolf!" Fred Weasley exclaims, his arms around the smaller girl as she squeals before being squished by the twin gingers.

"Oh stop it, you bloody giraffes!" She scowls with it only being muffled as she is squished between them.

"Hello, Fred and George." Remus laughed as the brothers pulled away from Magnolia, so she could finally breathe.

"Greetings, Professor! Such an honor to have you—"

"Such an honor, you have no idea!" George finishes for his brother as they proudly grin. Remus laughed at him, finding them amusing as he saw James and Sirius in the two from when they were younger.

"Shoo, you two! Let me say goodbye to my bloody daughter!" Sirius shouts, playfully shooing the boys away as they laugh and run to where their family is. As soon as they turn, Magnolia is pulled into yet another tight hug. "Oh, my baby! Can't believe you're already going to Hogwarts — soon you'll have your new friends! Then, all those stupid advanced classes Remus genes gave you, alongside all those boys —"

"Remus!" Sirius suddenly exclaims, making the werewolf jump in surprise at his urgency.

"What?"

"Boys!" Remus raises an eyebrow at his boyfriend. "What about them?"

"They're everywhere! Magnolia has our beautiful looks—" Sirius says this a lot like Magnolia got so much from him even though it was impossible but Remus always let it slide because it made him happy to see Sirius seeing Maggie as his. "And all those bloody trolls will be all over our precious girl!"

"Hey, we Taurus's can't help who we attract!" Evangeline remarks, giving Sirius a playful glare before squatting down to Magnolia's level.

"Anybody that doesn't leave you alone kick them in the crotch and run — if you get in trouble, just remember your mama got your back. I love you, baby." She whispers, kissing the little girl's forehead.

"Thanks, mama." Magnolia mumbles, hiding a smile as they all look at her with admiration, while Sirius looks at her with tears in his eyes.

"Why do you have to leave?!" He shouted dramatically before another cry came from James, not far from them — saying goodbye to Harry.

"You're being a bigger baby than our actual baby, James!" Lily exclaims, rolling her eyes as James is on his knees, hugging Harry tightly. Harry didn't know what to do other than pat his father's back as he cried on his shoulder. James was acting like his twelve-year-old was going to war.

"Let the poor boy go, James — did you forget that you're gonna be at Hogwarts too?"

"Oh right..." James mutters, rubbing his face, and pulling away from Harry. He pats the young boy's shoulder, letting a few tears leak out. "I still don't want him to grow up! Soon he's gonna be graduating off the boats at Hogwarts and I'm gonna be old!"

"You're only gonna be like thirty-eight when he graduates."

"AUGH!" James and Sirius exclaim in horror, covering their eyes before pulling each other in for hugs. "We're gonna be so old!"

"Make me a proud Slytherin Uncle, okay?" Regulus whispers to Magnolia and Harry after rolling his eyes at his brother and practically brother-in-law crying in each other's arms.

"Nah, I wanna be in Gryffindor," Harry says with a shrug, making Regulus's grin drop and turn to Magnolia, playfully pushing Harry's face away as he lets out a yelp. "HEY."

"Make your godfather win the bet, okay?"

"I'll try! You won't be mad if I'm not, right? Or Papa — or Dad?" She asks, her eyes suddenly turning wide anxiously as he quickly shakes his head.

"No, of course not. They wouldn't care what house you end up in, I promise. We're all just messing around, okay? Whatever house you end up in will be the best, and I'll say the same for Harry. We'll be proud of you guys, no matter what. I pinky promise."

Regulus lifts his pinky finger and she lets out a giggle. She lifts her pinky and links hers with his before he pulls her into a hug. She wraps her short arms around his neck, holding him tightly. Regulus wanted to cry, but he didn't want them to fall, knowing it might make Magnolia more anxious. So he kept them in as hard as he could. He hugged her back tightly, but not too tight — not wanting to hurt her.

Secretly, he felt just as emotional as James and Sirius. He didn't want her to go. He wanted her to stay and he could hang out with her longer. It was selfish. After all, he was barely there for her because he traveled everywhere with his girlfriend before. He only got to see her every so often, sometimes even missing holidays. He wished he could go back in time and possibly change everything, get a place close to her so he could just walk to her house and pick her up so they could hang out. He wishes he could go back in time and be a better godfather.

As she leaves, he realizes how much he's missed. He missed her first few words, steps, diaper changes . . . And now she was off to Hogwarts, spending her every day there, only coming back for the summers and holidays. And that was still more days than he spends with her every year.

"I love you, Uncle Reggie." Letting one single tear fall, he sucks in a breath, pressing a hard kiss to her temple. This was her first time saying goodbye to him, and he wasn't saying it to her this time. This time, she wasn't gonna be home, hoping that her Uncle Regulus would just burst through the door for a surprise visit. It's his turn. Now, he's gonna be home, hoping his goddaughter would just burst through the door for a surprise visit.

"I love you too, darling."

"Okay guys, we have to get on the train!" Remus commands, forcing Regulus to pull away from Magnolia, even though he'd much rather do anything else than that.

"Bye-bye!" She nervously exclaims, not before rushing to give Lily and Daisy a hug and one last long hug for Sirius.

"She'll be okay, right?" Sirius asks in a whisper, making his brother and Lily look at him. They glance at one another with a sad smile before wrapping an arm around Sirius's waist while Regulus pulls Evangeline beside him. The five of them watch as Remes and James stand back a little, letting Magnolia and Harry on the train before getting stopped by Molly Weasley herself.

She talks them up as they watch as her five children, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron climb on the train, following Magnolia and Harry. While Arthur and Molly talked to them quickly, their eldest, Bill stood silently beside them with their youngest, Ginny, impatiently wanting to go home. They laughed before the train blew its horn and the two adults were rushed on the train, suddenly making the five adults watching them no longer able to see them become more devastated.

"She'll be okay. All of them will. They have each other."

It took a little while for them to move out of the train express but they did once Daisy announced she was hungry. The ones on the train were scattered, with James and Remus forced to sit where the adults' and teacher's compartments were, while Harry and Magnolia stood close to each other.

They weren't going to admit it but they were the ones they needed most in these times. They knew each other the best and felt most comfortable around. They wished they could have their parent's hands to hold but they couldn't rely on them anymore. They could only rely on each other.

Magnolia stood in front of Harry behind her, his pinky linked with hers so they wouldn't lose each other. Ron was behind Harry, holding on to the end of his sweater so he wouldn't lose him as Magnolia directed herself and the two boys. After finally feeling content and finding an empty compartment, she entered it as they all collapsed in their seats in exhaustion.

Ever since they stepped on the Hogwarts Express, they've all been wanting to shrivel up in a ball out of nervousness. They were excited to go to Hogwarts, but they didn't like the idea of being away from their families. Sure, Ron had all his brothers, Harry had his dad, and Magnolia had her father but it wasn't gonna be the same without everyone. Taking a step on the train was a new stage of life, and they didn't know if they felt ready to grow up just yet.

"Thank god I found you guys! I was about to have a panic attack out in the hallway!" Mason Mckinnon Meadowes — son of Marlene Mckinnon and Dorcas Meadowes, adopted and proud of the fact he only has two mothers. He's been close friends with Harry and Magnolia — mostly Magnolia — ever since he was just a baby when Marlene and Dorcas adopted him. Lily is actually his godmother.

"I want you to meet a new friend I just met a few minutes ago! She's a muggleborn!" He exclaims happily before fully entering the compartment with a shorter girl beside him. She was pretty with mature brown eyes and big bushy hair, giving Magnolia a bright smile before turning to the others.

"I'm Hermione Granger. And... You are?" She asks, furrowing her eyebrows when Ron has a bunch of candy from the trolley stuffed in his mouth.

"Um, Ron Weasley."

Harry and Magnolia looked at each other with a laugh. Unknowingly, those two, Hermione and Ron — who already find each other revolting and annoying — are gonna see each other in a whole new loving light. It could be the same scenario for Harry and Magnolia too.

"LUPIN, MAGNOLIA!" Minerva McGonagall called for, hiding her smile as the familiar face came to sit nervously on the stool. The sorting hat was placed on her head and quickly began to talk to itself as Magnolia couldn't help but stay quiet and just listen to what the hat thought.

"Well, how interesting — your father, Remus Lupin was a bright Gryffindor, a very sweet and smart, young man, indeed. As for your mother, Evangeline Taurus — I heard she was quite the firecracker back in Beauxbaton's, as much as she showed so much Slytherin in her veins, I would have put her in Ravenclaw, with how very intelligent, sharp, and creative she was, she'd no doubt be a Ravenclaw. But with those personalities jumbled together alongside that Sirius Black, your stepfather — I'd say you, Magnolia, could be a Slytherin or a Gryffindor. Possibly even Hufflepuff with your curiosity and loyalty, but that's least likely since your patience is nowhere to exist but there is a lot of determination in your blood, I might say..."

"Just please choose one..." Magnolia whispers, squeezing her eyes shut as she feels like she is sitting on this chair for hours, listening to his hat talk about her.

"She fits all the traits of a Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. All would work and she'd fit right in, but it would be rather funny to see a reaction out of everyone if a Lupin was placed in Slytherin — but with how she'll lead the Gryffindor's so well—"

"Just choose one!"

authors note !!!

what do you think i've decided to put our magnolia hope lupin taurus?!

oh and i want her and reggie's relationship to be so cute because they never had one obviously and i always felt like reg would have been a great father or uncle to harry and teddy if he weren't to have died in the stories :(

so it just felt right for him to be maggie's godfather, especially since i resolved sirius and regulus's relationship in my last book and he's now a part of the family :)
