"THANKS FOR WATCHING HARRY AND DAISY," Lily says, handing Sirius Harry's backpack.
"My mom needs help with dad, and Petunia won't help because her brat of a son and husband are bloody terrible!" Lily exclaims, throwing her arms out dramatically as James nods from behind her with five-year-old Daisy on his hip.
Remus chuckled, shaking his head, "It's no problem. It'll be good for the two of them to hang out since they're practically fighting every second of their time together."
"They seriously don't get along, huh?"
"Not at all, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is chasing the other with a knife by the end of today." Sirius teases, making Lily throw him a warning glance before. "Speaking of knives, we should lock those drawers up, right?"
"I immediately advise you to get on that," Lily states sarcastically, setting her hands on her hips. Harry was on the couch watching An American Tail with Magnolia on the box TV. Both were too entranced by the movie, they didn't even bother to greet or bother each other. This had to be one of Maggie's favorite movies.
"I want his hat."
"But it's a cartoon — you can't have it, it's on the TV," Harry muttered in reply to Magnolia, both not taking their eyes off the TV as Maggie furrowed her eyebrows.
"I still can find a hat similar at the store or something—"
"I don't know, you probably couldn't find the exact one..." Harry says, making Magnolia slowly look at him with an annoyed expression. "Yeah, I can. Papa takes me to thrift stores all the time and I've seen those hats before."
"Then why didn't you get the hat those times?"
"Because I didn't want it at that time."
"Sounds like you don't want that hat — AH!" He gets off as a pillow hits his face and falls back.
"You're so annoying!" She shouts, sitting back in her spot on the couch before returning to the television. Harry rolls his eyes, moving the pillow off him and sitting up. He eyes the couch pillow beside him, hiding a small grin from appearing on his face. Gripping the pillow in his hand, he whips it, hitting it directly on Magnolia's face.
"I'm gonna kill you, Harry James Potter!"
"And that's my cue to make sure the knives are hidden," Sirius says under his breath before dashing off to the kitchen. Remus groans, throwing his head annoyed as he and the Potter couple look to see Magnolia chasing Harry with a wooden spoon. The young girl's face was red with fury as the young boy was excited but terrified all at the same time while running from the girl.
"Aye, mate — take the spoon from her, that can do some damage. I'd know, Mama Potter used it on me quite a bit..."
"Yikes, okay," Remus mutters, a shiver trailing down his spine before noticing the two ten-year-olds were going to run past him. Swiftly, he grasps the wooden spoon from his daughter as she runs past him, making her only then run faster after Harry and tackling him to the ground.
Lily laughs, shaking her head, "Welp, I don't think taking the spoon away did anything because she just resulted in tackling and pinning him to the ground."
"I feel like I should help him, you know? He looks so weak—"
"Nah, let him have it — let them learn young, you know?" Sirius insisted, coming back beside them. But they only look at him confused, Harry suddenly gets the upper hand and the two begin tussling on the wooden floor.
"What exactly is he learning from being tackled by Magnolia?"
"Women are the superior sex. Especially, Magnolia — she's going to change the world one day, I know it." Sirius put out, Remus giving him an are-you-kidding-me? look and chuckles. "You said the same thing about Harry and Daisy."
"Hey, I think all our kids are gonna change the world one day but it's important that he grows up as a feminist and that girls are strong too."
"That makes me remember the times from when we were in Hogwarts and got drunk—"
"What's drunk?" Little Daisy asks as Lily gives her husband a warning but annoyed look.
"It's when you want donuts, don't worry about it, Daisy," Remus quirks, letting her come into his arms before putting her on the ground. "Go play with brother and cousin Maggie."
The little girl that sported her mother's ginger hair ran on her little legs to where Magnolia and Harry were going back and forth. He towered over Maggie but was kept far as she had her feet placed on his stomach as he tried swatting at her while she laid on her back. Daisy stood beside them, becoming a giggling mess as she clapped for their dramatic duel.
"You're getting the hang of Godfather, huh?" James and Lily decided to have Remus as Daisy's Godfather. It's not that they didn't want Sirius to be it for both of their kids but they felt like they needed to even it out between them since they are also practically sharing Magnolia. And Evangeline is the Godmother to Daisy while Marlene is the Godmother to Harry. It wasn't hard for them to decide on it since they were both Lily's best friends.
"Yeah, it's like being a fun Uncle—"
"Hey, that's me! Go back to being good ol' Grandpa Moony — I'm the fun Uncle Padfoot!" Sirius complained, making the others laugh.
Lily and James leave but not before saying goodbye to Harry and Daisy and giving them kisses. They give Remus the normal rules and information he already knows as Sirius takes the kids to bake cookies in the kitchen... Took him a while to break Harry and Magnolia up but after practically threatening them, they complied. They knew he wasn't gonna hurt them, that's a known fact but they took it as a warning to be good, so they stopped fighting and followed her Papa and his and Daisy's Uncle Padfoot to the kitchen.
"I want the red marker!" Daisy pouted as the three kids sat at the dining table, coloring in their notebooks.
"You have to say please, Dai," Magnolia tells the young girl, who frowns at her older brother — who refuses to give her the red marker.
"But he's not using it!" The five-year-old exclaims, making the blonde sigh and Remus glances at them from the newspaper he was reading.
"Say, Can I have the red marker, please— " Harry instructed, tilting his head to the side, and glancing at his sister.
"Can — I — have — the — red — marker?" Daisy asks slowly but Harry shakes his head, "Say, Please."
"Can I have the red marker, please?"
"No, you cannot—" Harry quickly retorts, making Daisy shout in anger as Remus sighs, about to scowl at Harry before Magnolia does that for him. She pokes his side hard, immediately making the Potter boy curl up in a shout, dropping the red marker in his hand. She grabs the red marker and hands it to Daisy, who smiles triumphantly.
"HEY! No fair!"
"Bloody hell, you two — come on, it's bedtime."
"Listen to Uncle Moony, you too, Mags — Listen to Dad," Sirius demands, coming into the dining room after his shower. His hair was wet, wearing no shirt and only a pair of sweats.
"I don't want to share my bed with Harry! Why can't I share with Daisy?" Magnolia grunts as Sirius picks up Daisy and Remus grabs Harry and Magnolia's heads to direct them to the room.
"Daisy is sleeping with me and Papa. You and Harry are only sharing for two nights, calm yourself."
"Magnolia kicks in her sleep!" Harry groans, walking into Magnolia's room, while Sirius waltzed into his and Remus's room with a sleepy Daisy.
"Harry snores!"
"Maggie doesn't give me space!"
"That's only because she likes to cuddle." Remus teases as his daughter blows a raspberry at him. She wore Sirius's David Bowie crop top that was baggy on her, so it looked like a normal shirt with a pair of wolf-themed pajama shorts. Harry wore a matching pajama set with the theme of Quidditch.
"Hey, Uncle Moony?" Harry whispers, getting himself comfortable in Magnolia's lavender purple-comforted bed with her comfortably next to him.
"What's up, Bambi?" That nickname came as soon as Harry practically came out of the womb. The boys barely called the two kids by their normal names, having so many fun nicknames — especially when the kids got older so they wouldn't be confused about what their name was from when they were younger.
"I found a book in your study—"
"What did I tell you about going into my study?"
"I told him not to, but he doesn't like listening to me," Magnolia mumbled, her eyes closed and her head against her pillow beside Harry's.
"As I was saying, I went into your study and found a picture book. And I looked through it, seeing a lot of pictures from when you, Uncle Padfoot, Mom, and Dad were teenagers in Hogwarts..." Remus nodded, opening up their window to let some air in before tucking the two kids in bed as he kept listening to Harry.
"But I didn't know daddy had a twin and Auntie Eva went to Hogwarts, I thought she went to Beauxbaton's—" Remus froze, looking over at the green-eyed boy with wide eyes. That was the picture book that Lily took from when the other Magnolia and Harry were with them when the crew was in their sixth year. Remus thought he had hidden that book, but he must have left it out on his desk after looking at it and Harry then found it, letting his curiosity overcome him.
"Um — Um, those people were just some old friends, your dad never had a twin and Eva did go to Beauzbaton's not Hogwarts. I promise." He reassures Harry, not being able to look at their innocent eyes. Magnolia was already fast asleep beside Harry, her honey-blonde hair in a braid that Sirius had done for her. Harry kind of dozed off mid-way while Remus talked to him — but that doesn't mean his curiosity disappeared, Remus knew this was gonna be mentioned again. And if Magnolia had seen the same thing, wondering the same thing too, he's got to have explanations prepared for the morning.
And he's got to hide that damn picture book.
~~~
"They found the picture book." Remus immediately hisses, entering his and Sirius's shared room. Sirius quickly shushed the werewolf, pointing towards the sleeping Daisy on the twin-size air mattress beside their king-size bed.
"What picture book?" Sirius whispers as Remus climbs on his side of the bed, kicking off his pants and sliding under the covers beside his boyfriend.
"The picture book full of muggle and non-muggle photos that Lily took in our sixth year of Hogwarts while the other Magnolia and Harry were here."
"Oh Merlin, what did they ask?" Sirius asks nervously. Black practically shriveled up in anxiety as Remus then told him everything Harry told him. It wasn't much but they both knew that wasn't going to be the last discussion they had with them about it.
The truth was that they didn't know if they needed to worry about this. What would happen if Magnolia and Harry found out they had a past life that traveled in time to change everything? And if those other Mags and Harry didn't travel back in time, all their parents and family members would be dead? They couldn't tell them all about that.
But how would they react that they were married once? Deeply in love to where they were sacrificing themselves for each other? So in love, they were each other's first for everything?
Probably puke and try to claw their ears and eyes out... Because as much as Sirius, Remus, Peter, James, and Lily tried, their love is so much different now. They liked each other from the start, love at first sight. But now, their second chances at each other are a completely different story.
They hate each other now — well, not hate. Tolerate each other. No romantic feelings whatsoever. Completely different love story than what the marauders saw when they first met Magnolia and Harry.
