SIRIUS ENTERED THE KITCHEN of the apartment loft he shared with Remus. Remus was cooking dinner, dressed in his usual brown sweater and blue jeans. Sirius didn't have to work because of his substantial inheritance, but Remus was looking for a part-time job at a library where he could take easy days off during full moons. Even though Sirius offered to take care of him, Remus enjoyed working and didn't want to be dependent on Sirius.

"Honey, I'm home!" James exclaimed, bursting through the door with one-year-old Harry on his hip, while Lily followed behind, rolling her eyes.

"We're in here, deer! Ha, get it?" Sirius snorts at his pun as Remus only chuckles, mocking his pun. "Oh yeah, hilarious, Padfoot."

"Where is Maggie?" Lily asks as she takes Harry from James. James then sits on the high stool at the kitchen counter next to Sirius.

Peter comes inside the apartment unannounced, opens the fridge, and cracks open a beer for himself. "She's in the living room with Eva."

"Hand me one Wormtail!"

"I turned on you guys in my past life because of all the stupid rat jokes and that gross nickname," Sirius and James gasped dramatically while Remus choked on laughter.

"Not funny, my dear ol' Petey! We promised never to discuss your dark evil self!"

"Maybe I haven't fully decided yet, but I might turn to the dark side," Peter said with a joking smirk as he took a swig of his beer, while James disapprovingly tsked.

"After everything we've been through!" James exclaims, wiping fake tears as Sirius shakes his head and pats his shoulder.

"Merlin, please lower your voice or Mags might think that something is wrong," Remus chuckles while rubbing his ear. Lately, Magnolia has been particularly protective and possessive over Remus, Evangeline, and Sirius. It could be a phase that she's going through, but it seems to be happening more often than usual.

"What do you mean? Wait, is the full moon coming up soon?"

"Yeah, in two days. Why?" Remus answered as James and Peter exchanged a glance, but Sirius quickly shook his head.

"I know what you're thinking, and no, it's not possible!"

"Maybe this time she's actually..." Peter said, shrugging as Remus shook his head.

"My daughter isn't a werewolf. Magnolia from before already told me a child of a werewolf can't be a werewolf unless bitten. It's just..." They looked at their friend in question as he looked down at the cutting board in thought. "It's just lately since she's learned to walk and talk — she's been getting my symptoms once a month."

"Do you remember how she sometimes becomes clingy and possessive towards us?" asked Sirius as James nodded in agreement.

"We believe that she experiences what Remus experiences, except for the part where he transforms into a wolf during the full moon. It's like she gets sick or overstimulated once a month," Sirius explains as Evangeline enters the kitchen, suddenly understanding exactly what they are discussing.

"And given that she's quarter Veela and a girl — when she gets a period, those weeks will be three times harder as it supposed to be."

"Poor baby," James says, pouting his bottom lip.

"Did the other Magnolia have this?"

"I have no idea... I just wish I had more time with her, to ask a few more questions," Remus muttered. Eva comforted him by rubbing his shoulder and kissing the side of his head.

"Well, hey... You waited and got her back five years later, right? And now you get to start from the beginning and learn instead of skipping to her being older than you, right?" She says with a smirk, making the werewolf smile and nod. She gives them all charming smiles before grabbing two beers for her and Lily and two apple sauce squeezes for Harry and Magnolia.

"We're parents now... She's right. We can't just skip to the end when we haven't even experienced the beginning-"

"Wise words from the great, Petey—"

"You're a parent?" Sirius asks with a teasingly laugh as they break out into laughter, and Peter rolls his eyes.

"Okay, you guys are parents, I'm the cool uncle — but still, we got to learn all this stuff on our own. None of our future kids are gonna come out of nowhere and tell us everything again..."

"Yeah... It sucks... I'm just waiting for when Harry needs glasses, I'm taking him to the eye doctor like every two months," James expressed with a smirk, adjusting his glasses just slightly.

"You don't need to do checkups that much. You have to check them at least every two years—"

"Really? The last time I went to the eye doctor was... I don't know — eight years ago?" Sirius shrugs, making Remus tilt his head at him with a bewildered expression.

"And you don't think you need to check them?"

"Nah, I'm perfect, I don't need glasses—"

"Nobodies perfect, dickwad." Remus mutters as his boyfriend gives him an innocent grin at his insult.

"How long till dinner?" Sirius, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Just a few more minutes. Can you just wait?" Remus asks, suddenly regretting his words. Sighing when he sees Sirius smirk and suddenly slam his fist on the counter.

"I DID MY WAITING—"

"Oh lord," James mutters with a chuckle.

"TWELVE YEARS OF IT!"

"Please stop — He does this all the time!" Remus complains, shaking his head. And with one last dramatic conviction, he hits his fist on the counter.

"IN AZKABAN!"

"Papa!" Magnolia exclaims, stomping her little legs to where Sirius is sitting.

She refers to Sirius as Papa or Papa Padfoot, and Remus as Dad or Daddy, while Evangeline gets Mom, Mama, or Mommy. Additionally, all their close friends are considered Aunts and Uncles by both Harry and Magnolia.

"Yes, darling?"

"Har-ee being A-Hole!" She pouts, tugging on his leather jacket as he quickly places a hand over his mouth in shock.

"What did you just say?!" Remus scowls, leaning over the counter to see the upset one-year Magnolia.

"I think she just said Harry's being an asshole — Harry, are you being an asshole?" James cackles calling over to his son as Lily comes beside him and smacks the back of his head.

"Why are you swearing at our kid?!"

"It was Maggie first!"

"Magnolia, don't say that. That's a bad word!" Remus scowls at his daughter, who sticks out her bottom lip before climbing on Sirius's legs to get on his lap.

"Aw, look at that face. How could you resist being mad at that face!" Sirius exclaimed, as he picked up the blonde girl and placed her on his lap. She cuddled into his chest, crossing her little arms over her chest and turning away from Remus.

"You need to stop coddling her — both you and your brother." Remus retorts, making Evangeline chuckle as Sirius holds her.

"Not my fault you decided to get with myself — hottest bachelor and best Papa to Maggie! And it was you that made Reggie her godfather..."

Remus shrugged. "Eva loved him, and since he's your brother and Magnolia's stepfather, I thought it would be a good idea," he said. Sirius couldn't help but gaze lovingly at the werewolf. A smile formed on his face as Remus chuckled and they both looked at Magnolia in her father's arms.

"Hey, wait, why did we agree on Papa for Mags to call when you could have been Dadfoot?" Peter asks, making them all freeze.

"Mags mean!" Harry shouts as Lily gives James him, coming closer to Magnolia, who was in Sirius's lap — who was sitting right beside James.

"Am not!" Magnolia shouts with a gasp, turning to look at Harry with a glare.

"Am too!"

"Your A-HOLE!"

"Magnolia Hope Lupin Taurus! You better stop saying bad words, young lady!" Evangeline scowls, making Maggie huff but blow a raspberry at Harry.

"Look at this!" Harry stutters, holding up his middle finger only at her. Magnolia, familiar with how her dad Remus reacts when Sirius flips him off and they argue, quickly grabs a spoon and throws it at Harry.

"MAGGIE!"

"A-HOLE! A-HOLE!" She exclaims, launching herself at Harry and grabbing a fistful of his hair before he grabs her hair back.

"JAMES, SIRIUS — Get them away from each other!" Lily screeches as James grabs Harry's hands out of Maggie's, and Remus takes Maggie's hair out of Harry's before taking her out of Sirius's arms.

"You do not do that, Harry James Potter! You are grounded!"

"Momm—"

"No, don't mommy me. You can't yell at girls and use your middle finger!" She scowls at Harry, walking away into the living room.

"Who taught you that?!" Evangeline exclaims at her spawn.

"Uncle Paddy and Daddy..."

"JAMES! SIRIUS!" Lily screeches as James and Sirius both quickly apologize and hide behind Remus.

"No, Scooby Doo tonight," Maggie grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest. "Where did you even hear that word?"

After a few seconds of silence, she leaned her face on his chest and muttered something under her breath. Remus gently urged her to sit up and talk to him.

"When Daddy and Pa feet..."

"When Daddy and Pa feet?" Evangeline asks in a whisper as Remus's eyes slowly grow wide and nods, handing her back to Evangeline.

"When Daddy and Pa fight..."

"Merlin, sorry..." Sirius mutters, messing up his hair while Remus anxiously scratches his neck. Evangeline stands in front of them with a disappointed look and Magnolia in her arms.

"Seriously, guys? Do I need to come back to England? I know we made a deal where I would give birth and have the freedom to travel as I wanted, but I still want to be involved and help out with our baby girl that you all love and care for."

Remus and Sirius express their concerns to Eva, stating that it's hard for them because they keep overthinking that their daughter needs a mom. They worry about the future when she gets her periods or needs to discuss things that she may not want to with her dads, which makes it difficult for them to get a good night's sleep.

"Remus, do you not remember that your other self raised Magnolia alone? And now you have Sirius to help—"

"But that was a different me," Remus mutters, a sudden panic flowing through him.

What was he thinking being a father was a good idea? He couldn't do this — Remus felt so lost and overwhelmed. He had no idea what he was doing.

"Hey, Moony — no, it wasn't." Peter quickly says, coming beside the four.

"Magnolia adored her dad from before... What if our relationship is different this time?"

Sirius raised his head and gazed at Remus. It dawned on him that he had been too preoccupied with himself and Magnolia lately, to the point that he hadn't realized that Remus was much more anxious about being a parent than him. Remus had been a parent before, and Sirius had not. It seemed like Remus was feeling pressured to live up to certain expectations.

"That's not going to happen... because what made your past relationship with Mags so good was that you were always there for her, and always will be," Sirius whispered, clasping his hand over Remus's. The werewolf stopped shaking and looked at their conjoined hands with a smile.

"She doesn't require a mother figure, and she never has because she always had you. But, we did bring her and Harry back to give them a second chance at a better life. This time it will be easier for them because they have the support of Lily, James, Peter, Sirius, and not just you."

"I want to help out, so don't think otherwise. I love you all, especially this kid and my nephew. You got that?" The Veela said, catching Remus' attention. Remus looked at Sirius, his partner and the second father of Mags, then at Peter and James. Lily was scowling at James for teaching their son swear words. Finally, he looked at Evangeline, his child's mother who was holding her.

"Thank you..." He whispers, not wanting to get all sentimental, Eva only gave her baby daddy a smirk and blew the Black-Lupin couple a kiss before making her leave to their baby's room to put her to bed.

Sirius and Remus share a knowing look, trying to suppress the grins that are tugging at their lips. Although they often get on each other's nerves, they can't help but feel joyous whenever they're together. Sirius steps forward and envelops Remus in a warm embrace, and both of them break out into huge grins as they hold each other tightly.

It's been a year since they started raising Magnolia. However, it wasn't until Magnolia called Harry an "A-Hole" that they realized their anxiety about parenting.
