ROSIE HUFFS as Clint finished re-bandaging her wound that the new girl disturbed. Her eyes wondered to the suffering boy a few beds across from her. She could hear his groans and irritations.

"We're trying, but we don't know how to help him." Clint spoke noticing she was looking at a distressed Alby. "He's been like that since they brought him back. The wound is spreading more."

"I was against it." Rosie spoke her thoughts, "I didn't want him or Minho to go in. I wanted for us to wait for this to die down. But I didn't say anything."

Clint handed her a cup of water, "it's not your fault if that's what you're thinking."

Rosie took a sip of the water as she shook her head, "I'm not trying to blame myself. It just feels like everything that goes wrong ends up being my fault. I could've prevented it. I could've spoken up but I didn't."

"Don't stress yourself over it." He replied sitting down next to her. "But you should also be a little nicer to the new girl."

Rosie glanced over to the boy raising her eyebrow, "she stabbed me, slinthead."

"I know-"

"You'd forgive someone who stabbed you that easily?" Rosie asked taking another sip of the water she was given.

The boy huffed shaking his head, "well, no-"

"Exactly."

Newt entered the Medhut stopping their conversation they were having. "How's my favorite girl doing, Clint?" The boy asked reaching to Rosie as he placed his hands on the sides of her legs.

Rosie used her hands to reach Newt's face planting a soft kiss on the boy's cheek. "I did my best to clean out the wound and stitch her up again. The one thing I couldn't fix was your girl's stubbornness."

"Hey!" Rosie spoke throwing a rag at the medjack who had dodged the hit.

A laugh left Newt's lips as his arms wrapped around her waist, "that's alright, mate, I'll work on that myself."

The girl wrapped her arms around his neck lifting herself up muttering quietly, "shut up."

Rosie reached the floor still clinging onto Newt as he spoke to Clint. "Don't forget to tell the slicers to get checked after they're done."

"Yes sir!" Clint stood up straight mimicking a soldier.

Rosie let out a small giggle as Newt rolled his eyes unaccustomed to giving all of the orders around in the glade. "I'll be at the council hall if anyone needs me. Keep me updated with Alby."

Clint nodded chuckling stopping the pair before leaving, "before you guys leave, just wanted to tell y'all that I'm glad y'all are finally together."

Warmth spread around Rosie's cheeks feeling nice after his support. "Well technically we aren't together. He hasn't asked me anything so..."

Newt shook his head looking down at her as she looked up to him, "Rosie, my love, will you do me the honor of being my partner?"

Rosie pressed her lips on his cheek, "of course."

"Again, we'll be at the council hall if anyone needs me." Newt restated to Clint as he nodded waving them goodbye.

The pair walked in silence admiring the sun setting down. Purple and pink coloring the sky with one of the prettiest sunsets the Gladers seen during their whole time being in the glade. The smell of dinner filled their noses. Rosie could hear the distant chatter and feel the pure peace the glade brought her. Especially when she clung to the boy she had fallen in love with throughout the months.

"I'm going to set up a council meeting tomorrow." Newt spoke up getting Rosie out of her thoughts. "We need to figure out what we're going to do with all of the mess."

The girl nodded as they had reached the empty council hall. Newt took of the metal that kept the door closed and opened it. "Do you have any idea what we should do?"

Rosie walked ahead towards the front of the room. "My plan was to ask the new girl if she remembers anything. I don't know if Clint told you but she called out for Thomas."

"Don't you think it's strange?" Rosie asked sitting down on one of the benches as Newt fiddled with his fingers as he paced around the room.

"What are you leading on with?"

She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know it feels weird that all of this just started happening after Nick's death. They sent Thomas up and everything went downhill. Including my memories, it was as if part of my brain updated itself and started to retrieve them faster."

Newt nodded, "you have a point but where would that lead us? Where do we go from there? That's why I need to set up a meeting with all the keepers so we can discuss it soon."

Rosie ran her fingers through her hair as she simply nodded in agreement. "Uh-huh." The girl admired her now official boyfriend. Everything about him was perfect even the way he rubbed his cheek in frustration.

"I don't wanna overstep in any boundaries but do you want to tell me what happened in there?" Newt spoke finally sitting next to Rosie.

Staring at the floor, Rosie nodded, "I'll give you the key points if that's alright? I don't really want to go into detail right now."

Newt reached for her hand intertwining them together, "whatever you wanna tell me is fine with me," his thumb rubbed her hand.

Rosie felt the tingles running down her spine as she tried to forget the way his touch made her feel. "Thomas wanted us to take Alby with us. We found a spot for him and Minho and I ditched Thomas like the pussies that we are." She let out a laugh before continuing, "told Minho about my dreams after he told me a secret of his and the a Griever started chasing us. Another one showed up causing us to split up. I was suppose to meet up with Minho but the walls moved before I arrived. Got slashed by one of the claws but was able to outrun it and kill it."

"You killed a Griever?" Newt asked in astonishment

"Well, more like the wall did the work I was just running away." Rosie replied before finishing up her story keeping the Ben part to herself, "got tired and tried to rest but turned out I fell asleep. Found my way back and guided myself by hearing Jimmy's voice."

Newt pressed his lips on her hand, "I'm just glad you're back and safe."

Rosie shook her head, "you have no idea how glad I am. I will never go back in there again. Never."

"Please don't." Newt spoke leaning into the girl as he brought his lips close to hers. Rosie pressed her lips feeling the warmth and wetness of his lips. She could feel the need for him. The need for all of him.

"I promise." She spoke in between kisses as the two started a kissing session that was soon going to become more than just that.

The tension built up between the two in a few minutes. Especially after Rosie had gotten on top and straddled him. Her arms were looped around his neck as she continued to move her hips igniting something that Newt had rarely ever felt. Only times he slightly felt it was in his wet dreams.

"Fuck, Rosie." Newt groaned, his head falling back holding onto her hips as Rosie sucked on his neck, slowly moving her hips against his clothed hard on.

This was not what their intentions were. They planned to talk in private about what happened in the maze and what they should do about the current situation. Newt had been coming to her for advice. This was not advice.

"We shouldn't be doing this. It's way too soon." Newt spoke his actions were contradictory to his words though. His thumbs pressed into her hips to push her against his crotch further as she surfaced from his neck. Her lips puffy and swollen as she grinned.

Rosie lifted her hips up to lean slightly above him, before kissing him-holding his jaw whilst she pulled his bottom lip about between her teeth.

"I know." She let out in a breath before crashing her lips against his, hungrily kissing the lips she'd been wanting to kiss for months. Newt was nervous, he didn't know much of what to do but hoped for the best.

"Keep going." Newt replied. His hands roamed around slipping under her shirt feeling her bare skin.

"Take it off." She mumbled between kisses. Newt did as he was told helping her take off her shirt exposing her with her bra on. He stopped kissing her admiring her chest. Rosie let out a small laugh as he gaped at what he was seeing.

She helped him take his shirt off too. Her lips went back to his neck to suck on the sweet spot she had found. Her hand running down his bare chest as it reached his crotch. Rosie started rubbing him through his pants. Newt threw his head back in pleasure. He was in Heaven. "Oh, god, Rosie, your hands feel so good. Why did I wait so long? I'm so so sorry."

Rosie grinned nibbling at the top of his earlobe, "don't worry, we'll catch up on all the time we've lost, really fast." She moved her hips again as he panted moaning in her kisses.

The sound of the main door opened loudly with no warning. Rosie and Newt's eyes go wide once Thomas starts speaking with Chuck and the new girl behind him, "Newt we gotta talk to you!" Rosie gets off of Newt who quickly stands up shielding Rosie. "Oh my god!" Thomas exclaims

"My eyes!" Chuck yells before turning around with the other two.

"Get out!" Newt commanded as the three hurried out of the council hall. Rosie's cheeks felt warm from the embarrassment as she grabs her shirt from the floor. Putting it on, she taps Newt's shoulder handing him his shirt and telling him she was done. Newt turns to check before putting his shirt back on also embarrassed from getting caught.

"Oh, god." Rosie muttered trying to brush her hair with her fingers as Newt did the same with his.

"It'll be fine." Newt reassured her before planting a quick kiss on her lips, "it's not like you were full on starkers anyway." Her eyebrow rose as the boy shrugged his shoulders, "it's true you had everything but your shirt on. They didn't see much."

Rosie grabbed her hair tying into a messy ponytail. "Easy for you to say you're the leader of this whole thing."

"Mellow out, love. Now c'mon." Newt spoke before grabbing the girl closer to him and draping his arm around her neck. Rosie sighed as she made sure once again that she was decent before stepping out of the council hall.

"I am so sorry." Thomas apologizes to an aggravated Newt.

"It's alright, mate, what do you need?" Newt asked feeling Rosie intertwine their fingers together.

"Teresa came up in the box with these." Thomas spoke handing Newt one of the serums. Newt grabbed the serum observing it as they walked across the field.

Newt glanced at the girl, "you remember your name?"

Teresa nodded not knowing what to say slightly intimidated of the girl under the boy's arm. "We think it might help Alby."

Rosie looked at it raising her eyebrow, "let me see it." Newt handed Rosie the serum as she spelled out the letters. "W. C. K. D. What does that stand for?"

The Latina noticed Thomas and Teresa give each other a glance before both shrugging their shoulders. Chuck trailed behind them not knowing if to participate in their conversations feeling a little inferior.

"WCKD." Rosie stated grabbing their attention. "WCKD. Why does it sound so familiar?"

Newt observed Rosie knowing she'd tell him later if she knew more about the word. The five arrived to the Medhut as Teresa entered first waiting at the door noticing the others stopped.

"Chuck you're sitting this one out bud." Thomas spoke before entering the Medhut with Teresa.

"But that's not fair-"

Newt raised his eyebrow at the kid walking in after telling him, "No one is allowed to see Alby besides us. Now go. Skedaddle."

Rosie chuckled as it was her first time hearing Newt say skedaddle. She turned to Chuck, "why don't you go help Fry and the rest of the cooks finish up dinner, kiddo?"

Chuck pouted at the girl, "it's not fair, Rosie. No one here takes me seriously."

"I get it. But we don't know what's going to happen to Alby at any moment and Newt just doesn't want to risk anyone's life okay?" Rosie explained to Chuck as she continued, "go help in the kitchen and I'll tell you what happens."

"Okay." Chuck huffed heading to the kitchen as Rosie shook her head entering the Medhut mid conversation.

Rosie scooted inside walking around the bed where Alby laid as she sat on one of the empty stools across from the rest. "We don't even know what this stuff is." Newt stated mid conversation with Thomas. "We don't know who sent it or why it came up here with you. I mean for all we know this thing could kill him."

Thomas placed his hands on his hips motioning to the sick Alby, "he's already dying. Look at him." Newt turned to give a good look at Alby knowing Thomas was right. "How could this make it any worse? C'mon it's worth a try."

Newt glanced back up to face Rosie silently asking for her advice. At rare times this time being one, she agreed with Thomas. Rosie nodded knowing the medjacks had no clue how to cure him and this was the one thing they had that could possibly help him.

"Alright." Newt spoke handing the serum to Thomas, "do it."

Thomas grabbed a hold of the serum passing by Newt as he neared himself to Alby's vicinity. The boy placed the serum on his chest hesitating to do so. Thomas glanced to the rest, "okay."

Thomas turned back his eyes going wide as Alby's eyes were dark. His hands grabbing a hold of Thomas' collar, "you shouldn't be here! You shouldn't be here!" Rosie stood up from the stool intervening between Alby and Thomas.

"Hold him down!" Newt demanded

The medjacks and Rosie were able to grab a hold of Alby who still had a good hold on Thomas. "Get the syringe! Get the syringe!"

Rosie looked for it noticing it already in the hands of Teresa. The girl didn't hesitate for a second before inserting more like stabbing the serum into Alby's chest.

The serum doing a quick effect on Alby who fell back asleep. "Well that worked." Jeff stated the obvious as everyone was spooked.

"Okay, from now on," Newt spoke looking at everyone as he pointed at Alby, "someone stays here and watches him around the clock."

The medjacks nodded before Gally entered the door. Rosie looked up noticing Gally's tiredness and avoidance. "Hey. Sundown greenie. Time to go."

"Gally, can we talk?" She asked the boy who hadn't spoken to her since she arrived. His demeanor had changed and he was closed off.

The boy shook his head, "not right now, Rosie."

It hurt Rosie, not because he told her not at this moment but more so because he used her name. He rarely ever called her by her actual name. He always called her nicknames like Little One, Little thorn, or Princess maybe even loser but rarely ever by her name.
