"LIGHT 'EM UP!" ALBY hollered out to the boys who circled around a mound of wood and flaming torches in their hands. Rosie in sync with the boys throwing the torch at the wood, the flames instantly igniting. Each time getting better at aiming, this being taught by Gally. Rosie grinned at the boys who sat with her watching the bonfire they had created for the new boy who unfortunately was nowhere to be seen.

Β  Β Β  A grin formed on Gally's lips as he sat next to her holding a stupid conversation that nonetheless, both enjoyed. "Oh, please!" Rosie scoffed, "I can totally go against you."

Β  Β Β  Gally shook his head, "you wouldn't stand a chance!"

Β  Β  Β  Rosie crossed her arms, "you taught me everything I need to know. Student always surpasses the teacher, my good friend." The girl for sure knew she most likely couldn't beat the boy that was twice maybe even three times her size and weight. But she didn't care, she had a challenge and she was going to win. One way or another. Rosie stood up, "alright, come on! Challenge accepted!"

Β  Β Β  Gally shook his head standing up as a few boys started noticing what was about to happen. "Make space dimwits!" Zart yelled as he got most of the boys attention as they made a big circle leaving Gally and Rosie in the center. "Rosie's about to show who's in charge!"

Β  Β  Β  A devious smile was written on her lips as she picked her hair up in a messy ponytail. "Don't worry, little one, I'll go easy on you." Gally stated getting into his fighting stance position.

Β  Β Β  "Alright!" Aidan yelled with a glass cup of moonshine in his hand. "Person that pushes another out of the circle, wins!" The boys cheer in sync confidently knowing Gally was going to win but always enjoyed when Rosie challenged the boy. He always put a little more effort since Rosie knew most of his tricks. "Person also wins if other claims defeat!"

Β  Β Β  Before the boys could blink, Gally had thrown a punch which Rosie had quickly dodged by sidestepping his move and grabbing his fist moving behind him. Rosie knew she wasn't going to be able to push the Builder out of the circle, so she was going to make him claim defeat. Rosie sank her foot onto the back of his knee letting Gally drop down to the floor. Gally cached his breath trying to roll away before she could strike again. But before Gally could get up on his two feet, the girl slammed into his back with full force.

Β  Β Β  Gally hesitated for a second in pain before ramming his elbow backwards feeling it connect with something bony. Rosie fell back to the floor clutching on to her lower stomach groaning in pain. Knowing she had to keep going, Rosie lunged for his leg but Gally kicked her hands away causing her to jump back before he could kick her face.

Β  Β  Β  The boys hollered in satisfaction as Rosie had been one of the few in the group to last longer than a minute inside the circle. Rosie knew it was about to come at her sooner than later so she had to be ready to embrace the pain soon coming her way. The boy lunged for her grabbing a hold of her body for a split second before throwing her across the circle. Rosie panted trying to recover and get her breathing in sync. The girl spit on the side of the ground removing any dirt she got in her mouth and the blood prickling on her lips.Β

Β  Β  Β  Rosie watched from the ground Gally on his two feet waiting for her to get up. At the moment she wanted to give up but she also knew the boy in front of her expected more from her. Months of training and fighting against him, she was better than giving up at this moment. So, she stood up on her feet, her hand motioning to him to come at her.

Β  Β Β  Gally smiled proud of the girl standing up once more, her lips cut and a definite bruise forming on her stomach she was still going to fight. "More?" He asked waiting for her head nod as he ran up to her. The boy crouched to get a hold of her by her legs Rosie ducked the boys head forming her body like a ladder so he wouldn't be able to get a hold of her legs. She pushed his side causing him to lose the balance he had and roll down to the ground. Before Gally could even sit up Rosie grabbed a hold of his neck wrapping her legs around his torso keeping him locked. Not giving him a chance to escape.

Β  Β  Β  The boys around the circle chanted her name in quite shock that she was winning. Aidan stepped inside the circle counting down, "three!" Gally squirmed around not understanding how he got into this position. "Two!" Every time Gally used any type of force to get out of her grip, Rosie would tighten her grip. "One! Rosie's the winner!" Aidan yelled out confirming her victory. Rosie dropped her hands and legs letting go of the grip on her friend. Both laid on the ground exhausted from the fight. They took a minute to catch their breaths.

Rosie stuck her hand out to Gally as he stood up grabbing it to pull her up on her feet. "Shuck's, I went easy on you." Gally muttered attempting to lie to the girl even though he knew she wasn't going to believe him.

Rosie patted his shoulder still panting but way less then before, "whatever helps you sleep at night." The girl sat down next to Ander who had been surprisingly quiet for his normal nature. During the bonfires he would always be one of the boys to create games or force the boys to dance. "What's on your mind?"

"Don't know what to say to Aidan." Ander replied as the pair looked across the bonfire to see the lanky Asian boy sitting with a few other boys laughing.

"You haven't talked to him since?"

Ander nodded crossing his arms, "kind of been avoiding him since I don't know what I want to tell him."

"Well, start with apologizing and just tell him how you really feel and why you feel like that. If the boy doesn't understand that or doesn't accept that, than he's not someone to be worried about." Rosie replied saying whatever had formed in her head hoping it would be some good use.

The boy nodded taking a sip of his moonshine offering some to the girl, "Can I tempt you?" Rosie grabbed a hold of the glass cup accepting. The liquid burned down her throat giving her a warm feeling throughout her body. The sudden aftertaste caused Rosie to wince at it, Ander chuckling knowing every single time she drank she made that face. "How's yours?"

Rosie glanced to the boy confused of his question, "how's what?"

"Your lil' love life, with Newt." Ander motioned with his head to the boy who had stood up walking away from the crowd of boys.

The girl rolled her eyes taking another sip of the glass before handing it back to Ander, "nothin's happening, Ander." She stated reminding him that unlike him she didn't get any action.

The boy scoffed not being able to believe her, "please, I saw the way you guys were acting when I came in the room earlier today. You two were blushing hardcore. What was that?"

"We were just laying together." Rosie replied sheepishly not trying to tell him the move she was about to make earlier but still ended up telling him, "and I might of or may not of tried to make a move."

Ander's eyes went wide, "and?!"

Rosie shook her head, "and you knocked on the door."

"We need a code to let each other know if we're occupied." Ander stated, "just imagine if I didn't walk in though? Damn! You guys would've probably done the icky!" The girl rolled her eyes knowing she wouldn't of done it so fast.

"I am leaving, go do what I told you to do." Rosie stated standing up, "and I am going to finish that move."

Ander's eyes went wide grinning from ear to ear, "yeah! Proud mother right here!"

Rosie shook her head laughing as she searched for the blonde boy who had disappeared awhile ago leaving her with the rest of the boys. She enjoyed all of the boys company but always looked for his, every single time. No matter how much she tried to avoid her feelings.

Rosie grabbed a plate adding two pieces of chicken with rice she made and headed to the two boys she had spotted sitting against a log. The two boys looking behind themselves when they heard footsteps getting closer to them.

Β  Β  Β  "Sorry if I'm interrupting something," Rosie apologized reaching them as both shook their heads. "I brought you some food, I didn't see you eat earlier and I'm just making sure everyone's fed." The girl handed the new boy a plate full of food and a smile curved on her lips when she heard his stomach growl in hunger.

"Thanksβ€”" the brown-haired boy thanked her appreciating the small gesture. He'd wanting to get some food but didn't want to interact with anyone. "I don't know your name."

"Oh, right!" Rosie sat down sitting next to the blonde boy, she glanced at him when their shoulders touched and quickly looked away when he had looked back at her. "My name's Rosie. Sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. Been quite busy preparing the food."

The boy shook his head, "that's okay, haven't really tried to talk to anyone really."

Rosie acknowledged his response as it was normal for most newcomers to be distant with everyone. "Don't worry, it's tough to adapt in a place like this but I'm here if you need someone to talk to." Rosie chuckled before getting pulled in closer as Newt lifted his arm placing it around her neck to press his lips on top of her head. Little smiles tugging on both of their lips. Newt feeling in peace with the warm body leaning on him.

Β  Β  Β  "How come," the new boy started to speak hesitating before finishing his question, "how come you're the only girl?"

Β  Β  Β  Rosie shrugged her shoulders, "I'd like to know that to, Greenie. But, unfortunately I don't know and neither do the rest of the boys."

Β  Β Β  There was speculation between the leaders and her that she was a glitch in the system. Especially when she remembered things, the boys here couldn't. She had unlocked memories of her life before the Glade. The only others who knew about this was the leaders, the keeper of the builders, and her best friend.

Β  Β  Β  "She's the only girl we've had in the Glade." Newt spoke up grabbing one of the pieces of chicken Rosie brought the new boy. "Keep your hands off her and we won't have a problem." Newt stated biting into the piece of chicken meant for the other boy. Rosie hit Newt on the chest causing him to groan in mild pain, "ow!"

Β  Β  Β  "Don't be mean," Rosie muttered to him as she turned back her attention to the boy. "Just don't pull a move on me, kid. The guys in here are overprotective of me and they're gonna make you regret it if you do. Especially Gally, he always makes sure no one lays a finger on me. Him and Newt are the main ones but you also got Ander," Rosie pointed at her best friend who had made up with his boyfriend Aidan, "Frypan," her finger landing to the dark skinned boy in overalls who sat with his best friend, "Winston, and Vince." Rosie pointed to the boy with long wavy black hair currently going against Gally.

The boy nodded, "Alby told me I'd be back in the cell if I did."
