He's looking at me with those eyes, full of adoration towards me.

Is it just because I'm a friend?
Or can I really be something more than just friends?

My eyes widen. He seemed shocked himself.

Was he going to say-
But, why did he stop himself.

"I-I mean, I need time." He completes, gulping.

Disappointment spreads through my chest, but I don't let it show. Instead, I smile. I cannot show him my disappointment. I cannot...burden him with my feelings, because I know even if he doesn't reciprocate the feelings, he still cares for me just the same as before.
