Chapter two...
(Y/N) and Paul were walking in the Atreides hanging, hand in hand as they saw a familiar ship arrive inside the docking lobby.
The childhood best friends shared a knowing look. Then (Y/N) ran off sprinting towards the person giggling, and at her giggle Paul smiled fondly.
"Duncan!" The (H/C) haired girl yelled excited, hands up waving in the air like an excited puppy.
The said guys head lifted up at this, a smile reaching his face as he saw who was running at him, "(Y/N), my girl!"
She jumped into his arms, causing the male swung her around a little and placed her on the ground after the bear hug.
"Look at you! All big and strong now!" Duncan exclaimed, cupping her cheeks in a fatherly embrace.
(Y/N) smiled shyly, and grabbed hold of the male's wrist, "Yeah, yeah, I try."
Duncan laughed loudly, ruffling her (H/C) hair then turned to Paul who was now standing there with them.
"Paul, my boy!" Duncan brought him into a side hug, arms wrapped around each others shoulders while (Y/N) smiled at her favourite boys.
"Well.. I'll let you two catch up. I've got some training to do." She told the pair, waving goodbye as she walked away and didn't notice Paul's dreamy expression and smile on her.
Duncan cackled knowingly at this, "Still haven't told her huh?"
Paul scoffed, cheeks heating up, "U-uh, er, well-" He shaked his head, "So anyway, you're going to Arrakis tomorrow with the advance team?"
Duncan pushed his hair out of his face, and nodded at his statement, "Yes, I'm going to Arrakis tomorrow with the advance team."
"I'd like you to take me with you." Paul demanded, watching Duncan put his aquipment away.
"You would?"
Paul nodded in confirmation.
"That's too bad, cause no." Duncan straight up denied, hitting Paul's arm as he walked back to his ship.
"Duncan.. " Paul sighed.
"Are you trying to give me court-martial? What's going on? and I don't think (Y/N) would be alright with you coming either." Duncan stated, now fixing up his ship as he opened a panel.
"Can I trust you with something?" Paul asked, standing behind the man.
"Always. You know that."
Paul was quiet for a view seconds, then talked, "I've been having dreams. About (Y/N).. Arrakis and the Fremen.."
"Okay, so?" Duncan questioned, not understanding.
"I saw you. With the Fremen." Paul started.
Duncan turned around pointing at the male and smiled, "So I do find them? There you go. That's a good omen right there, right?" The older male went back to working.
Paul followed slightly, looking down towards the ground, "I saw you lying dead. Fallen in battle. I felt like if me and (Y/N) had been there you'd be alive."
Duncan paused his work hearing the boys work, and walked up to Paul, "First of, I'm not gonna die."
"You're not taking me seriously-"
"That's why you wanna come with me?" Duncan interrupted, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Listen, dreams make good stories, but everything important happens when we're awake, because that's where we make things happen."
Duncan squeezed Paul's arms, "Look at you, put on some muscle?"
"I did?" Paul questioned looking at his arm.
"No." Duncan shot down his hopes, going to walk away but turned around to say, "Hey, see you in Arrakis, my boy." As the male got a little bit further away, he slightly yelled, "And hurry up and tell (Y/N) how you feel! Otherwise nothing will happen!"
Paul went wide eyes at this, looking around to see if anyone heard it— if (Y/N) was around and luckily she wasn't. The brown haired male gave Duncan a glare and walked away very fast, embarrassed.
Duncan laughed at this.

Paul was walking back from his talk with his dad down the hallways, on his way to find (Y/N) and eventually found her when the male heard noises coming from their training room.
He walked into the room, leaning against the door as he watched (Y/N) train. She moved so freely Paul thought that the air was helping her move.
(Y/N) swung her leg up, kicking the side of the neck on the dummy, then punched it's face left then right. All while the air moved freely around her body, almost if it was helping her land the hits.
"Well, look at you go." The deep voice of her best friend spoke behind her.
She paused her punches, and turned around to him, "Oh, hey Paul." She wiped her sweat off with her towel, and walked over to the weapons on the table, "Wanna have a match again?"
Paul smirked at this, and stood up from where he was leaning, "Sure love, let's hope you win this time."
(Y/N) scoffed, and got into fighting position in the middle of the room, "You wish I'd lose pretty boy."
He got into fighting position as well, "Alright come on then." He taunted.
She narrowed her eyes down on him, running forward to strike. She aimed a punch at his chest to which it pushed him back, then aimed another at his cheek when Paul dodged and kicked (Y/N)'s side making her get pushed to the right.
She clutched her side, grunting at the kick and swung her leg out to leg sweep him onto the ground but once again Paul saw this coming and jumped up when her leg was coming, landing another hit at her leg.
"You ready to give up yet?" Paul taunted again, loving to tease the girl already knowing how strong she was. (Y/N) was only holding back because of how she adored and loved Paul.
"No." She grunted, already having enough of losing (Y/N) ran up to Paul, using the table to jump up and wrapped her legs around his neck, catching him surprised.
She twisted her body a little, keeping her legs tightly wrapped around his neck and kept his arms unable to move, flipping over and brought Paul down with her. Who got flipped over onto his back and landed hard against the ground.
(Y/N) was quick to squat down and sit on Paul's waist as he laid down, impressed at her move as her legs sat on either side of him, "See? I won this time."
Paul reached up and placed his hands on her waist, making the woman freeze momentarily. He switched positions and now (Y/N) was on the ground with Paul stradling her.
She blinked once, blinked and blinked again, groaning when she realised what happened, "Oh come on..."
He smirked in accomplishment, and leant down near her ear, "Guess I really do affect you." He rasped against her ear, nose bumping her jaw teasingly.
(Y/N) squealed, kicking her legs up she pushed the male away, quickly getting to her feet and glared at her best friend, "You cheater!"
Paul just looked away smirking, whistling like nothing happened.
After a little while, Paul was now training himself with a sword, hitting the dummy left and right. (Y/N) stood near him and watched.
"Don't stand with your back to the door you two. How many times do we have to tell you?" A strict older mans voice spoke, walking into the room.
(Y/N) smiled sheepishly, looking over to one of her favorite mentors, "We could tell it was you by your footsteps, Gurney Halleck."
"Someone might imitate my stride." Gurney fired back, placing down weapons onto the table.
"We know the difference. Are you the new weapons master?" Paul questioned walking over to another table where (Y/N) offered him water, and smiled in thankfulness.
"With Duncan Idaho gone, I must make do as best as I can," Gurney took of his jacket, "Choose your blade."
"I've had quite a day, Gurney. Give us a song instead." Paul spoke drinking from the water.
(Y/N) sensed Gurney about to throw a blade towards Paul so she stepped in front of him, catching the blade mid air.
Gurney raised his eyebrows at this, impressed while she just shrugged and arched her eyebrows back.
The (H/C) haired girl turned back to Paul, handing him the blade who accepted it and peeked over her shoulder, "That's rude."
Paul's eyes went wide when Gurney came to attack them, and the young boy pushed (Y/N) back and dodged the blade.
Gurney got into fighting stance, swinging his blade and turned on the shield that laid on his wrist, making Paul follow along and turned it on.
(Y/N) watched the males fighting. Paul was making good hits and defending himself from Gurney's attacks.
"Come on. Come on." Gurney taunted the boy.
"Old man." Paul taunted back lowly.
Gurney tilted his head at this, swinging his blade forward at Pauls who blocked it with his own and once again they were back to fighting.
(Y/N) would never tell anyone this but dear god she loved watching Paul fight, he never looked so attractive.
As the fighting continued, Paul tripped over Gurney with his leg and got down to where the old man was, holding the blade to his throat, "I have you."
"Aye." Gurney grunted, "But look down, my lord. You'd have joined me in death."
Paul looked down to see the blade near his stomach, and returned his eyes at the old man.
"I see you found the mood."
(Y/N) walked over when the fight was finished, helping Gurney up and took the weapons from the males hands and placed it back onto the table.
"Will it be that bad?" Paul asked, staring at (Y/N) but the question was meant for Gurney.
"You don't get it, do you? You both," Gurney glanced at (Y/N) who was listening now, "Don't really understand the grave nature of what's happening to us. For 80 years Arrakis belonged to House Harkonnen. Eighty year of owing the spice fields. Can you imagine the wealth?" The old man moved directly in front of Paul, "In your eyes, I need to see it in your eyes. You never met Harkonners before. I have. They are not human. They're brutal!"
(Y/N) jumped in her skin at the sound of his voice becoming louder. Paul just stared into Gurneys eyes with a hard expression.
"You guys have to be ready."
