three.

SERAPHINA felt like she had a purpose. Like she was set out on a mission, the only problem was that she didn't know what for. It was like the answer was right there in front of her, on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't for the life of her remember what it was. She couldn't remember much these days it seemed.

Everything was stranger and newer to her. She had woken after a couple centuries of sleep to find herself in a new world where instead of horses they were these inventions called cars and instead of castles and huts people lived in houses and apartments? She couldn't quite grasp the concept of this new life. She knew she was sent here for a reason and she felt it had something to do with what had happened when she arrived between the witches and vampires but the baby had died and she couldn't save it and she was still here so she wonders if it was even the right prophecy at all.

But if there was one thing that Seraphina was familiar with in this city it was alcohol...also conflict but alcohol is what seemed to comfort her in these times. So here she was sat in a bar knocking back shots hoping that it would help with whatever it was she was to be doing.

The chair besides her scrapped across the floor as the person pulled it back to take a seat. They briefly glanced at the woman before calling over the barmaid and placing an order.

"I didn't send you here to drink." The woman said shaking her head in disapproval at Seraphina who had half lifted the shot glass to her mouth.

It took a few seconds for Seraphina to register the words the woman had spoken to her and another few to realise that she knew the woman sat in front of her, the same woman who had condemned her to centuries of sleep.

She lowered the glass back onto the bar as she turned in her stool. "So if you didn't send me here to drink what am I here for? Because the child I was "suppose" to protect is dead!" Seraphina replied heated annoyed at the fact that the life she knew got ripped away from her only for her to be sat at a bar drinking away her problems.

The woman thanked the barman who brought over her drink with a nod and slowly took a sip before replying. "Not everything is as it seems Seraphina . Smoke and mirrors. You have to look past the facade to find out the truth, the family is still your task." She answered her before lifting the glass once again to her lips before drinking the whole thing and slamming the glass backdown before swiftly leaving Seraphina alone with her thoughts.

Before Seraphina could blink the woman was gone, so much so that Seraphina almost convinced herself that she was never there in the first place and that she just of hallucinated, but the glass that sat beside her stood as proof that the woman had been there and that she still wished for Seraphina to protect the child although Seraphina's not sure there's much to be protected but there's always somewhere she could start, The Mikaelson's.

As Seraphina was contemplating leaving the bar someone announced they were closed for the day and everyone had to leave. Just as she was about to follow the crowd to the exit she caught sight of a group gathering around a young girl a few metres from where she stood.

Seraphina stayed silent waiting to see what they were doing before she intervened. One of the men pushed the girl back and then proceeded to fling the guy she was with across the bar.

Seraphina looked longingly at the wasted alcohol for a split second before making herself known to the group of werewolves.

She cleared her throat causing them to face her and she peered around one of them to look at the young girl who was on the floor giving her enough time to chant a spell. "10 men against 1 girl I hardly deem that a fair fight, do you?." She asked to them, but instead they growled at her. Werewolves she thought as she looked around at the group of men who were now focused on her.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." She warned them as a few of them bravely took a step towards her.

One of the men scoff as he looked her up and down clearly underestimating her power. "You're just a woman what could you possible do against 10 werewolves, like you said it's not a fair fight."

"Woman? Is that meant to insult me?" She paused as she saw a few smirk believing they had the upper hand. "No, I mean it wouldn't be fair to you..." Seraphina trailed off as her irises turned to ember.

One of the men stepped back in fright as some of the others followed him, but a few stayed their ground. Seraphina smiled wickedly as she beckoned them forward, a couple tried to rush her but she simply punched one in the neck and held the other in the chockhold as fire emitted from her hand burning into skin as he cried out.

She dropped the mutt and turned sharply as she heard a couple of wolves pinning the girl down as one went in to bite her, but before Seraphina could react a man comes out of nowhere and pulls the wolf off of her sending him flying into the group.

The man who Seraphina identifies as a Vampire steps back and examines the group. "You filthy dogs." The man addresses them bitterly before moving forward.

Some of the men try to attack him but it's futile as he lunges forwards and snaps one of their necks before ripping out several of their hearts. Across the room Seraphina moves over to the girl as she is grabbed by a different werewolf, Seraphina shoves him away but in the struggle the girlΒ  loses her bracelet which catches the attention of the vampire.

Seraphina kneels down in front of the girl to check to see if she's okay but the girl shakes her head as she looks a few feet in front of them at her bracelet.

"My bracelet." She whispers to the woman as she locks eyes with the vampire knowing that the bracelet was more important than her wounds.

"Well now...what an interesting turn of events." The man smirked as he pushed forward and lifted the girl up by her top as Seraphina rushed to the other side of the room to retrieve the bracelet.

Seraphina spots the bracelet just as another man rushes in and pushes the girl back as he fights with the man before the vampire holds him back.

Mikael then looks over to where the girl is and sees that Seraphina is about to hand over the bracelet causing him to drop the other man and go to attack her but it's too late as the girl already has ahold of the bracelet and holds it up to him.

"STOP! Go back, NOW." She commands him as the man sighs reluctantly and speeds away. That left three adults staring at the girl in a mixture of horror and disbelief, but the girl just shakes her head and leaves the bar.

Seraphina was confused at what was going on she couldn't believe the amount of drama she had been involved in since she had arrived in the city. She had no clue as to who these people were except for Elijah and Marcel whom she recognised months prior when she first awoke and tried to save the Baby. She just didn't know what they were involved in now and who the man they were all so frightened of was.

Seraphina was snapped out of her own thoughts as Elijah looks towards the boy who Seraphina had missed from behind the bar who was looking around at everything in shock. "Something to say?" He asks the boy who looks at him shaking his head.

"Not me, mate. Not a bloody thing." He responds before leaving.

Elijah then turns to Seraphina and gives the woman a nod. She turned to leave but paused as she backtracked and grabbed a bottle that hadn't been smashed from behind the bar before leaving the place.

She had contemplated following Elijah and getting answers but he seemed to have his hands full and it wasn't any of her business and she's not really wanting to go diving head first into more of their family drama even though she knows that she's not done with them yet, she can feel that something isn't quite finished. For now though it seemed as though the girl needed help more than anyone so she would put the Mikaelson's on hold for the moment whilst she would go and check on the girl who she yet needs to put a name to.

yep I finally updated, I kind of know where I'm going with this now, sorry this is a bit of a filler to try and incorporate Seraphina into the story. She knows all about the supernatural ofc but she still believes Hope is dead and so she's trying to find out what she should do with her life now as she believes she no longer needs to protect her.

Sorry for the shit short chapter it's a bit rushed and yeah...but oh well
