four.

SERAPHINA exited the cabin as Davina ended her call. She handed the girl a drink before briefly eyeing Mikael and turning to Davina.

"Who was on the uh fone um ph-phone?" She tried sounding out the word it didn't look how it sounded and she still was amazed that people could now communicate through a device miles apart from each other, she's still used to ravens.

"Cami, she's my friend I guess she's just worried about me but I can't go back yet, not with Klaus who no doubt knows Mikael is with me." Davina tells her and she nods understandingly. She had stayed with Davina for a few days after what happened at the bar, she had tracked the girl down and offered her protection.

Davina had told her of her plan and whilst Seraphina did not agree with it she knew she needed to stay the help the girl because if she left her on her own she would be killed the minute she turned her back; whether it be Mikael, Klaus or the werewolves and Seraphina couldn't let that happen, Davina is only a child stuck in this war and she will need all the help she can get and if that meant going against what she was sent her for, then so be it. Besides Seraphina has her own plan, protect Davina and find a way to stop her from killing Klaus whilst also keeping an eye on Mikael because she knows he doesn't trust her and rightfully so, if she knew where Davina kept the stake that can not only kill Klaus but all the Original vampires, Mikael included, she would of used it on him already. So instead she has to wait it out and hope she's doing the right thing.

She watches as Davina goes over to talk to Mikael who just seems to spit vulgar insults at the girl because he obviously still has some backwards thinking about the world and if Seraphina was honest she still does too but she's trying to change, it's hard going from one life to another which seems to have a completely different set of rules. Apparently people can't just execute anyone anymore there's like laws in place or whatever, and the hierarchy that she used to live by is no longer a thing anymore either she has no power or title here other than Miss.

She's quick to step in front of Davina when Mikael is calling her weak for not being able to fight of a dozen werewolves.

"She had me."
"Ah yes, but even you wouldn't of been able to fight well against them all whilst also having to protect Davina would you? No you see I know where you came from and in your times you had army's to fight for you, who's going to fight for you now? I don't see anyone willing to step up, do you?" He said antagonising her.

Seraphina could feel the heat rising through her body, she could feel herself losing control but she forced it back down. She knew he was only trying to provoke her and she wasn't going to let him win. So she took a few breaths before deciding to ignore the man who continued to speak.

"Magic can only ever fight half your battle, remember that." He finalised which seemed to have hit a nerve for both the females. Seraphina knew he was right and so did Davina who agreed with him.

"Okay. Fine. You're so tough, teach me." Davina asked him making Mikael stop in his tracks and turn back around to face her as he had started to walk away from them.

"Teach you what?" He scoffed.

"How to be strong." She said.

Seraphina watched as Mikael started to teach Davina how to fight. He wasn't going easy on her but what would you expect from a Viking who had also stood by and condemned his family to a lifetime of vampirism. She watched as he struck at Davinas foot causing her to twist her ankle as she fell.

Seraphina moved to kneel beside her as Mikael forced her to stand but Davina shook her head at the woman knowing she had to do it on her own. She eventually got back up and continued to fight with Mikael.

*

About an hour later Seraphina brought Davina some ice for her ankle as the girl carefully took off her boot. She hissed as it made contact.

Seraphina gently examined her ankle as Davina picked up her phone to call someone. She realised it was a sprain but very badly bruised but at least it was not broken.

"Who are you calling?" Seraphina asked she had gotten used to the notion of people talking to each other through this device although it still baffled her as to how it worked.

Davina smiled slightly. "A friend".

This caused Seraphina to think back to the bar with the boy who she had guessed was with Davina. "Are you sure he can be trusted?" She asked her, the boy seemed like a bit of a coward but there was something else, it was like he was familiar with the vampires. It wasn't like he was scared of what they were but more who they were.

"I don't know. But right now he's one of the only friends I have left that isn't associated with Klaus."

Seraphina hummed in agreement but stayed silent as she left the room letting Davina call her friend. She still wasn't sure what she had gotten herself into. She was supposed to be here for a different reason, Hope. But with the child gone she's had to adjust to this life because she knows there's no way back to her old one and she's still struggling to deal with that. This is her life now and she's not sure if she wants it.

Kaleb, Davinas friend arrives after a while bringing some herbs with him. Seraphina stays at the threshold of the door watching the pair, she didn't want them to feel like she was intruding but at the same time she didn't want to leave Davina alone with the boy as she didn't yet trust him, something seemed off but maybe it's just her, besides people's attitudes are very different from what she is used to. She smiles at the sight of Davina laughing with the boy...he seems to make her happy. She watched them for another minute before deciding to give them some space as she steps outside of the cabin and takes a seat on the step of the porch.

There was something serene about being outside at night, you could see all the stars and hear the soft chirping of the birds in the distance. It was just like home to Seraphina . It sounded the same and brought her a sense of comfort. She didn't know how long she had been sat there but she heard a faint yell of her name from inside the cabin the same time as a car door slammed shut revealing Klaus Mikaelson and he looked angry.

"Klaus." She called out to him but he seemed to of not heard hear or was ignoring her as he had walked straight past her looking into the house. "Klaus". She called again but it feel on deaf ears.

He stormed back towards his car but stopped as he picked up a familiar looking staff. He weighed it between his hands before using it as a javelin and throwing it through the cabin window which had broken whatever spell Davina and Kol had put up to make them all invisible to Klaus.

"Enough games Davina. Send out my Father." He screamed out towards the cabin before finally catching sight of Seraphina .

"Seraphina? What are you doing here?" He asked the woman who looked out at him. He didn't understand what she was doing here, she wasn't suppose to be involved in all of this.

"Making sure the girl is left unharmed. She's just a child Klaus." She sighed.

"Well she seems to have made her bed, no one forced her to summon Mikael to kill me so it seems like she's more than capable of taking care of herself, you're not Mother Theresa." Klaus replied in anger taking a step towards the woman.

"Even so she needs to know that someone is on her side, without any ulterior motives." Seraphina explained hinting at both himself and Marcel. As they both only wanted to use the girl to help themselves gain more power over people.

"You don't want me as your enemy Seraphina ." He warned her as he puffed his chest out.

"And you don't want me as yours." She remarked daring him to challenge her.

"Well I guess you've already made up your mind then." He said bitterly not meeting her eye.

Seraphina sighed, she could tell Klaus had a hard time trusting people. "I wanted to help you Klaus but you've got to see that not everyone is out to get you. She's a child she just needs some guidance she doesn't know what she's doing so don't take her stupid decisions out on her."

"She's trying to kill me." He yelled at Seraphina who didn't back down or cower away.

"Because you tried to kill her and you succeeded in killing her friend. I would say it's fair for her to only want some sort of revenge." She yelled back at him annoyed that he seemed to think he was okay for him to do it but not anyone else.

This time Klaus didn't bother to reply he just pushed Seraphina out of the way.

"Davina! Is this not what you brought him for? I'm not afraid." He yelled out again waiting for some sort of reply.

He got his reply when Mikael stepped out of the cabin locking eyes with his son and stalking towards him as if he were his prey. He held the stake in his hand as he addressed him.

Seraphina knew this was between them as moved to go into the cabin to check on Davina. She saw her laying on the ground unconscious with Kaleb looming over her.

"What happened?" Seraphina asked him as she rushed over to the girls side.

"She was knocked unconscious when she hit her head and Mikael was set free." He replied but Seraphina didn't fully believe the boy was telling the whole truth but she wouldn't dwell on it now. She made sure Davina was comfortable before making her way back outside to check on Klaus because even though he was annoyed with his intentions she didn't want to see him dead.

She rushed over to him as she saw the stake was forced inside of his left shoulder. She crouched down beside him briefly looking towards Mikael who seemed to have a knife lodged into his chest, before placing a hand on Klaus' chest to keep him pinned down and one wrapped around the stake and swiftly pulled it out of him.

He yelled out in pain but she didn't apologise he was being an ass to her anyway.

He shook her off of him as she stood up looking down at Mikaels body. He seemed to be thinking about what to do with him, Seraphina could see he was conflicted in whether to stake him then and there or not.

Seraphina sighed heavily knowing that whatever trust Klaus had had towards her was gone now but she doesn't regret what she did, she knew protecting the girl was the right thing to do and sometimes the right thing to do is the road less travelled or something like that. She read it somewhere. So instead of trying to reason with him she started to walk back to the cabin to see if Davina had awoken yet.

Seraphina sat besides Kol who looked worried for the girls health. She still hadn't woken up and neither of them knew what to do about it, apparently there wasn't a spell or herbs for that.

A woman entered the cabin moments later followed by Klaus who opted to stand by the door not wanting to be any closer to them. Seraphina realised this was the woman Davina had told her about, Camille or Cami as she likes to be called.

"We should get her to a hospital." She suggested knowing a doctor could help her more than they could at the moment.

"Oh hello, darling. Back to huff and puff and blow the house down?" Kaleb teased towards Klaus who stared down at the boy.

"You know it's funny how often a persons sharp tongue can end up cutting their own throat." He retorted back, acting like a child.

Seraphina glared at Klaus as Cami told him to give the kid a break.

"You might wanna try a bit of lavender under your pillow." Kaleb said continuing to push Klaus' buttons. "Does wonders for stuck up pillocks with anger issues."

"I promised not to kill Davina. I said nothing of this insolent sod." Klaus bit back causing Kaleb to smirk up at him knowing Cami wouldn't let it happen, Seraphina was thinking about it though.

Cami soon led Klaus out of the cabin before he followed through with his threat of offing the boy. Seraphina watched Kaleb carefully, she didn't know what his game was. He seemed invested in pissing Klaus off and she remembered the look on his face when he was Mikael and Elijah in the bar she just didn't know what was connecting him to the family and what he was doing with Davina.

Klaus turned to Kaleb as Cami left to get the car so they could take Davina to a hospital. He started to interrogate the boy, he knew there was something familiar about him. It was strange how he was so invested in Davina and his family. That's when it seemed to click for Klaus.

Seraphina watched it all unravel. As Klaus revealed Kaleb to be Kol, his younger brother who was supposed to be dead. But Kaleb-Kol knew that Klaus wouldn't harm him either way because of Cami.

Klaus stopped taunting Kol as he called out to Cami but didn't receive a reply. Kol stayed with Davina as Seraphina followed Klaus to his car and saw that neither Cami or Mikael were anywhere to be seen.

Klaus quickly got on the phone to Elijah who wasn't picking up the phone. Seraphina tried to match his pace as he made his way back to the cabin.
