this is the second time i'll be making this announcement. i don't want to keep repeating myself or annoying you guys with it.

anyways. pls take my words with a grain of salt.

in the judging process for every category there are two things that can simply get your book eliminated and both have to do with the guidelines. i'm not talking about changing your book title, etc. not many people do that during the judging period, so that's not the focus of my announcement.

the two ways are by not doing your active check and by unfollowing.

i could completely disregard the rejudging period if i see that these two rules aren't followed, hence eliminating your book with either just the judge's review or with no review. and yeah, i'd love to do that because it's less work for me, but i don't want to because that means you miss out on the opportunity to be judged and possibly win or even receive a full feedback. i don't want that.

i only require one mandatory active check before the judging period, so make sure to do it anytime before or during judging so i don't eliminate your book. might seem unfair because your book isn't getting judged fully, but that's just the rules. i don't want to babysit your books yk?

for the following you can always follow through a backup. it's not even a permanent follow, but people disregard it and unfollow before their results come out. that will get you eliminated. you can always unfollow and leave the awards once your results (for all categories you applied for) have been released. this is basically your entry to the awards, so not following it means you're not following the rules, etc.

it's a shame because i want to give you guys the proper judging your book deserves in the awards, but i make rules for a reason, every award show makes rules for a reason, so please follow them. at least they're not permanent which is a good thing.

i'm saying this so that those who perhaps havent followed all the rules, do them now. i'll turn a blind eye to it for now. if you're in the KTH category, you'll have until this friday (feb 2nd) to follow the rules. if nothing changes, your book will be eliminated as per the guidelines.
