___๐”‰or miles upon miles all one could see were the dozens of bronze mountains and hills that made up the Red Waste. No grass could be seen no matter which direction one turned in, the only thing to blanket the world was rough-sand that dried out one's throat and stuck itself between their fingers and toes.

ย ย  A thick cloud of dust trailed behind a small herd of Dothraki, whom had been traveling through the, ruthless and unforgiving, Red Waste for days now with little to no food or water. This herd of Dothraki is the small Khalasar of the Targaryen Twins. The Dothraki whom had stayed by the Great Khal's pyre all through the night and had awoken to the songs of the four baby dragons' of their twin Khalessis.

ย ย  The small Khalasar consisted of no more than thirty Essos-tanned men, women and children with six Blood-Riders, that had been loyal to their Khaleesis ever since their marriage to the Great Khal, alongside the exiled Knight from Westeros and the Targaryen Twins, themselves.

ย ย  The Targaryen Twins walked near the rear of the herd, with one of their handmaidens, Doreah, walking behind them with wonder shinning in her eyes, as the black hatchling perched upon Daenerys Targaryen's shoulder, whom lifted her hand to offer him a piece of meat. The baby dragon sniffed at the raw meat before hissing as he turned his small head away, refusing to eat, which worried the eldest Targaryen and her twin sister, whom walked beside her.

ย ย  "What did your brother say about them, Khaleesi?" Doreah spoke up. She had never thought to ever see a dragon in her lifetime, now she has witnessed the birth of the first dragons to be seen in centuries and stares at one of the four baby dragons as he hissed and shrieked on one of her Khaleesis' shoulders. She knew she would never forget the way they sang and how the sun above glimmered on the dragon's black scales with hints of red. She could die happy having seen such wonders.

ย ย  "He said they ate meat." Daenerys responded, worry in her violet eyes as she looks upon her black hatchling. "He didn't tell you what kind of meat?"

ย ย  It is Rhaenaerys Targaryen that responds, "Our brother didn't know anything about dragons.. he didn't know anything about anything." The youngest of the twins, then, extends her hand for the hatchling to hop onto, whom does so with a sweet chirp, bringing soft grins onto the twins' beautiful features, "๐„๐ก." She speaks, commanding the Dothraki leading the black stallion beside her twin to halt the horse that carries the four wooden carriers that contain the other three baby dragons. Rhae opens the carrier closet to her, lowering the hatchling into it, when a scream fills the humid air.

ย ย  The Targaryen and dragon turn their heads towards the sound, only to see the white mare, gifted to the twins by Khal Drogo on their wedding day, falling onto the rough-sand. Daenerys has already begun rushing towards the mare, when Rhaenaerys turns her head towards Doreah, whom nods with sorrow in her eyes, therefore, the youngest twin follows behind her sister as the handmaiden closes and locks the carrier containing the baby dragon.

ย ย  Daenerys is smoothing her hand across the dying mare's head when her twin falls to her knees beside her and both have tears in their violet eyes as they turn their heads towards Ser Jorah Mormont, whom kneels before them, with a silent question passing through them. The Knight just solemnly shakes his head, confirming the beautiful mare will not survive the Red Waste any longer.

ย ย  "She was Drogo's first gift to us." Daenerys says in a tone laced with sadness. "I remember." Ser Jorah says, with pain filling his heart at the sadness in his Queens' violet eyes.

ย ย  "We promised to protect them.. promised them their enemies would die screaming." Daenerys says, glancing towards the small Khalasar behind them. It makes anger and pain fill her heart to see how skinny the children have gotten as their mothers shield them from the sight of the dead mare they adored with tears falling from their eyes. "How do we make starvation scream?" The Knight sighs, "A trick I never learned, I'm afraid."

ย ย  Rhaenaerys lifts her head, violet eyes looking upon the never-ending abyss of sand and hopelessness that is the Red Waste, "Does it ever end?"

ย ย  "It's further east then I've ever been, but yes, Khaleesi. Everything ends, even the Red Waste."

ย ย  "And you're sure there's no other way?" The youngest speaks, once more, turning towards the Knight, whom shifts his legs to kneel on his right knee instead of his left, nodding towards the directions he speaks of as he says, "If we go south to the land of the Lazarheen, the Lamb Men will kill us and take your dragons. If we go west to the Dothraki Sea, the first Khalasar we meet will kill us and take your dragons."

ย ย  "No one will take our dragons." The twins speak as one, fire in their eyes and behind their voices.

ย ย  "They are too weak to fight.. as are your people. You both must be their strength."

ย ย  The Targaryen Twins look to their loyal Knight with adoration in their eyes and soft grins on their lips, "As you are ours." Daenerys says.

ย ย  "๐™๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐ช๐จ๐ฒ ๐ช๐จฬ๐ฒ๐ข." Rhaenyra speaks in the rough language known as Dothraki, and three of the twins' Blood-Riders walk towards them as they stand. "๐‘๐š๐ค๐š๐ซ๐จ, ๐€๐ ๐ ๐จ, ๐Š๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐จ. ๐“๐š๐ค๐ž ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ." Rhae looks to Kovarro, "๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ž ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ญ," then Aggo, "๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ญ," then Rakaro, "๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ง๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ญ."

ย ย  Rakaro speaks in Dothraki as he asks, "๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐๐จ ๐ฐ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ž๐ž๐ค, ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ๐ข?" And Daenerys responds, "๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ž๐š๐. The three Blood-Riders nod, before walking towards their stallions.

ย ย  Rhaenaerys follows her Blood-Rider, since her marriage to the Great Khal, whom strokes the snout of his black stallion's, "Kovarro." The young Dothraki lifts his head towards his Khaleesi, whom continues, "๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ๐ž, ๐›๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐›๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐." He smirks, "๐ˆ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ฅ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ, ๐›๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐›๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐." Rhae softly smiles at her loyal protector, "You never have."

ย ย  "This is a bad time to start." She softly chuckles at the Dothraki, watching as he mounts his horse and kicks it into a gallop before riding in the eastern direction.

ย ย  The youngest Targaryen's violet eyes watch all three Blood-Riders ride in every direction the east will allow them to ride in without threat, well she hopes without threat, before her gaze lands upon the red star in the sky. It was beautiful and had been in the sky ever since the dawn that came the night after the dragons' birth into the world. Rhaenaerys glances towards the carriers that hold the baby dragons, she knew the star fell for them, and them only. Because why would a star fall for men? Men were nothing, but dragons.. stars bled and shinned for them. They were magic, they breathed fire like it were the winds, they could touch the clouds with hardly any effort. Oh, Rhae couldn't wait until the hatchlings were big enough to ride. They answered to neither gods nor men, and some believed their gods couldn't even stop the beasts that breathed fire.

ย ย  Whilst staring at the bleeding star, the eldest of the Targaryen Twins comes to stand beside her sister, looking towards the star, as well. "Stars don't fall for men. What do you think it means, Rhae?" Rhaenaerys turns her head to looks towards her twin beside her, a shine in her violet eyes that Daenerys had never seen before. "Dragons, our dragons.. a herald of our coming." The Targaryen Twins softly smile at one another, knowing they would go through all of the hardships laid out before them now together, always.

ย ย  "Do you think they'll find anything?"

ย ย  "I don't know, Dany.. I hope they do."

ย ย  The twins, then, bring one another into an embrace, always strengthened by one anothers presence.

โ ๐“ƒ— โย

The Khalasar had soon enough decided to set-up a makeshift camp in a wide crevice between two rocky hills, that provided shade from the ruthless sun above, whilst waiting for the three Blood-Riders to return. Once the bright sun sunk below the horizon, allowing a cool night's breeze to drift across the numerous dunes, that relieved the small Khalasar from the blazing heat, the Dothraki began to rest for the night on the harsh ground. The Westerosi Knight and the remaining Riders guarded the women and children throughout the night, wary of any threats lurking in the Red Waste.

ย ย  The beautiful Targaryen Twins, themselves, sit underneath a hut, made from thin fabrics and animal-skins, with their four hatchlings. The black hatchling stands before the twins, the eldest sitting on her legs whilst the youngest's legs are curled beside her as she leans on her hand, and the green lays curled on Daenerys' legs with the gold on Rhaenaerys' shoulder and the white curled upon her hand.

ย ย  Daenerys lays a piece of raw meat before the black hatchling, hoping he would eat, but, once again, he sniffs the meat before turning his head away, refusing to eat the raw meat. The eldest frowns, "Why won't they eat, Rhae?"

ย ย  It is then that the youngest Targaryen seems to remember something she had read in a book long ago, therefore, Rhaenaerys does not say anything as she takes four pieces of meat from the pile between herself and her sister before standing and rushing towards the small fire laid in the middle of the camp. The white hatchling crawls up her arm to perch on her other shoulder whilst Rhae sticks the pieces of meat on a thin twig she had found laying on the rough-ground before laying it above the flames. The Targaryen waits for the meat to become charred before standing and walking towards her confused sister, kneeling beside her, once more. "Here, try these, Dany." Daenerys takes one of the charred pieces of meat into her hand, not even flinching at the heat from it, before lowering it towards the baby dragon, whom happily takes it from her fingers with a chirp.

ย ย  The beautiful twins release breaths of relief as small smiles overcome their worried frowns, reassured in knowing that at least their baby dragons won't starve.

ย ย  The eldest, then, gives a piece to the, patiently waiting, green hatchling on her legs, and the black crawls onto her legs, as well, wanting attention from his mother. All while Rhaenaerys extends her arm for the gold and white hatchlings on her shoulders to climb onto, whom do so, before she brings one of the pieces between her fingers and gives it to the gold hatchling. The white hisses, trying to take the meat from her sibling, but Rhae just softly chuckles, "๐‘ฏ๐’–๐’”๐’‰, ๐’”๐’˜๐’†๐’†๐’• ๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ, ๐’๐’†๐’‚๐’—๐’† ๐’š๐’๐’–๐’“ ๐’ƒ๐’“๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’“ ๐’ƒ๐’†. ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’“๐’†." She lays the remaining piece of charred meat before the white hatchling, whom chirps as she takes it from her mother's hand. The beautiful white hatchling with hints of purple scales, then, lifts her gleaming head to nuzzle it against her mother's chin, whom softly smiles at the sweet action of affection from a creature she never thought she would ever see with her own eyes. Now Rhaenaerys and Daenerys Targaryen are like mothers to the first dragons seen in centuries, and it made a pride they had never felt before swell inside of them.

ย ย  The black hatchling has crawled up Daenerys' arm to perch on her shoulder whilst the green curls himself on the eldest twin's arm and the gold hatchling receives caresses on his small head from Rhae with the white perched upon her shoulder, when footsteps approaching them causes the twins and dragons to turn their heads towards whomever it were.

ย ย  They see it were only Ser Jorah Mormont approaching them, and the dragons seemed to relax at this, as the Knight removes his skin of water from his belt and offers it to his Khaleesis. Though, they both, kindly, refuse the water, knowing their people would need the water more when their supply became as empty as the Waste surrounding them. Besides it wouldn't be the first, or tenth, time the Targaryen Twins would go to sleep hungry or thirsty. The aged Knight silently nods, hiding a smirk of pride as he attaches his skin of water onto his belt, once again, before looking at his twin Khaleesis from where he stands.

ย ย  Their Dothraki rags were layered with dark sand and dirt, their braided silver hair was damp with sweat and matted with few strands of their braids becoming undone with their plump lips chapped and peeling, but they were both still more beautiful than the bleeding star in the sky. The Targaryen Twins held themselves strong, stronger than any monarch he ever knew, even in this type of situation. Ser Jorah knew that most would have taken the food and water for themselves, like their vile snake of a brother would have, but the Targaryen Twins always made sure their people were fed first before eating little of the rations they had left themselves.

ย ย  The Westerosi Knight knew he were serving the right Queens, and could die happy having seen the birth of the first dragons seen in centuries and hearing their songs that made even the night come alive. He felt proud to have been by their side since before the dragons were born and swore to protect the last dragons with his life, if it calls for it, for he knew people will lust when they see the dragons.

ย ย  Although, thinking of the beasts, Ser Jorah realizes he doesn't know if the Targaryen Twins had decided on names for the dragons.

ย ย  "What will you name them, Khaleesis?"

ย ย  The truth was, the Targaryen Twins had been thinking of what to name their beautiful dragons ever since the moment they saw them in the flames, and now it seems they had finally decided as they speak,

ย ย  "The green one shall be Rhaegal, for our valiant brother who died on the green banks of the Trident." Dany spoke.

ย ย  "The cream-and-gold we will call Viserion, Viserys was cruel and weak and frightened, yet he was our brother still. His dragon will do what he could not." Spoken by Rhaenaerys.

ย ย  "And the black beast?" Asked Ser Jorah Mormont. "The black," Dany said "is Drogon."

ย ย  "And what of the white one?" Spoke the Exiled Knight. "The white will be Rhaellon, for our mother." Rhaenaeys said.

ย ย  "They are fitting and beautiful names, Khaleesis." The twins softly smiled up at their sweet Bear, nodding in thanks. All while the four hatchlings stood on their thin legs and stretched their majestic wings that were three times their size before proudly singing, knowing that they had been named.
