Chapter Nine: Unexpected Savior

The road that stretched before us seemed almost never-ending as we slowly trudged our way along the pavement, searching for a shelter. There hadn't been any time to morn the loss of my abode, for we had more pressing matters at hand.

Such as revenge.

Unbridled hatred coursed through my veins, directed at Monty and his friends. They tried to kill me, blew up my home, and placed me in mass amounts of suspense after convincing me to watch episode five of Squid Game. I was determined to have my revenge, but until then, I would take out my anger by trash-talking them.

"Who does that man think he is?" I grumbled. "Coming around here, blowing up my house, putting my in suspense- who the hell does that?! The nerve of that guy! And don't get me started on Quackity! We were cool! I thought we were friends, but nooo! He just had to go and betray us, didn't he?"

"Calm yourself, Wonder," Techno said. "I know you're angry, but we need to come up with a plan before we do anything we might regret."

This filled me with even more rage. "But I want to kill him NOW!"

"If we break into the Nuclear Power Plant right now, we wouldn't last a minute." Techno explained. "We need to gather more people if we want to fight Monty and his friends. Are you still in contact with Glitch?"

"Yes...somewhat," I told him. "When they disappeared in the Battle of Las Nevadas, they were taken to a fancy chaise lounge by some dudes named Thor, Nat, and JD. I have no clue who any of them are, but Glitch sent me some pictures of them through Discord and they're pretty hot, not gonna lie-"

Techno looked down at me.

"Not nearly as hot as you, of course!" I quickly added, and Techno nodded happily.

"So we need to find out where Glitch is staying, and maybe we can recruit those people they had mentioned," Techno said. "and then we'll have somewhat of an army."

"And then we can break into the Nuclear Power Plant and fight Monty and his army!" I exclaimed.

"Correct, Wonder." Techno smiled at my enthusiasm for violence. "But before we do that, we need to find some sort of shelter where we can rest. We can't stay on this road forever."

"True," I agreed. "but where would we find a place to stay?"

As if on cue, a loud car horn blared from behind us, and we spun around to face the source. A small, grey car pulled up beside us, and the owner lowered the window to reveal-

"Hello, Vision! Hi, White!" I greeted happily.

"Wonder, Techno, what a pleasant surprise!" Vision exclaimed. White merely nodded in greeting. "What are you guys up to?"

"Well, my house just got blown up by Quackity and his boss, and now we have sworn revenge and we need a plan," I said simply.

"Oh jeez, that sucks," Vision groaned sympathetically.

"Yeah," I nodded. "I was on episode five of Squid Game too, and they knew that my TV was in my house, but they blew it up anyway!"

Both White and Vision gasped in shock.

"No!" White shouted.

"How dare they!" Vision exclaimed angrily. "Those sons of guns!"

"My thoughts exactly." I replied.

"Do you need a place to stay?" he asked. "We could take you to my home in Westview, I'm sure my wife, Wanda, will understand! I'm sure you'll like Pietro too, and the kids will warm up to you!"

I opened my mouth to decline his offer, not wanting to interact with younglings, but Techno spoke before I could do anything.

"Thank you so much, Vision. We really appreciate it." he told him, and I nodded enthusiastically in order to not sound rude.

"Of course!" Vision opened the back door of his car. "Come in and we'll take you straight there!"

I climbed into the back seat of his car, Techno following right behind. As the car started to drive off, I shuddered in aggravation. Every second we drove, we were nearing two children, beings that I strongly disliked. But I knew we couldn't stay on the streets for long, if we wanted to exact our revenge.

Soon, Monty and Quackity will pay.
