PLOT

They say that a werewolf's bite is a tool for change, but the result is never simple. The power you receive amplifies what's already there, creating either a protector or a monster. Marlene McCall was one of the newest victims of the mysterious alpha. Her transformation amplified her already protective instincts, making her fiercely loyal to her friends and family. But it also empowered her quick temper and sharp edge. Unlike her twin brother, Marlene struggles to control her wolf side, making her seem almost unapproachable. At first, she didn't mind the solitude. It was calming in her time of change. That was until her inner wolf became stronger, leading her to seek help from an alpha just as strong.

Marlene sought out Derek Hale.

Just like a werewolf's bite, a person's past can be a tool for change. You either hold onto your history or let it consume you. Lorenzo Hale had a frightening past that hardened him and shaped his brooding nature. He masks his pain behind sarcasm and a distant attitude. When he controls his emotions, his grip on his inner wolf is strong. Despite their differences, Lorenzo and Marlene share something very similar—they will do anything to protect the people they love, regardless of the cost. When Lorenzo returned to Beacon Hills after years away, there was only one person he wanted to find.

And that was Derek Hale.

The tension between Marlene and Lorenzo was high from the moment they met. Their clashing personalities were like thunder and lightning, neither willing to back down. Marlene saw Lorenzo as an arrogant outsider, disrupting the delicate balance she and her pack had fought so hard to maintain. While Lorenzo viewed Marlene's lack of control as reckless, endangering herself and those around her. Their disdain toward each other was always hanging over Beacon Hills, obvious to everyone who lived there. But deep down, there was an undeniable spark that flickered.

NOTES

▻ Marlene and Lorenzo will have a very strong enemies to lovers relationship. It will also be a slowburn. They'll start as enemies and will remain that way until season 3. Then they'll become acquaintances/rivals. They'll be putting up with each other, but they're also very competitive. Marlene and Lorenzo should start to become friends around season 4. You can decide when their relationship starts after that.

▻ Marlene and Scott are extremely close. They always have each other's backs, even when they know their sibling is wrong. Sometimes other people think they can read each other's thoughts, and that becomes more common after they get bitten.

▻ Marlene and Stiles also have a very strong sibling relationship. They grew up together, so he's always been like another brother to her.

▻ Lorenzo is the twin brother of Cora Hale. They were close, but became distant after the Hale Fire. He's very surprised to find out that she's alive.

▻ Lorenzo and Derek have a rocky relationship. Derek doesn't trust him at first, which makes Lorenzo wary of him. They will eventually get closer. It's up to you to decide when. 

▻ To start their tolerance of each other, I would suggest having Marlene or Lorenzo save the other from the alpha pack in season 3.
