PLOT

No one really knew anything about Clara Ashton. She didn't have any friends, nor did she make the effort to make any. Her family was a mystery, making some believe she didn't have one. She was always the quiet girl who kept to herself at school. No one knew where she lived or what she did as soon as the last bell rang. When someone saw her outside of school, they would always see her looking at things as if it were the first time she saw them. It was like Clara didn't know how things worked in the world. But that was because she wasn't from Earth.

She was an alien.

With the help of her family, Clara escaped her home planet during the biggest war in history. She was sent lightyears away, landing on Earth when she was only ten years old. She was forced to figure out how to live on her own, barely getting by some days. But everything changed the day she met Wyatt Ashton. He was a few years older than her and lived in a small apartment near Midtown School of Science and Technology. He saw how much Clara needed help and took her in without an ounce of hesitation. After spending time with her, he learned there was something different about Clara, but he never asked her any questions. Instead, Wyatt tried to teach her about the world and how she should act to not draw suspicion to herself. Other than her social awkwardness, the Ashton girl did a pretty good job at blending in.

That was until she met Peter Parker.

Peter had known something was off with Clara since the day they met. Her accent was the first giveaway, mainly because it sounded like nothing found on Earth. The second, and more important, giveaway was when he caught her using her powers to save a cat from a tree. Ever since that day, Peter made it his mission to figure out everything there was to know about Clara. Unfortunately for him, Wyatt had gotten very good at protecting her over the years. He would always make sure to walk Clara home from school, even if that meant leaving work a few minutes early. And that was because he didn't want to lose the sister he had gained. But soon they would learn that they had no choice but to get involved in Peter Parker's world.

Because Clara held the key to Peter's alien device.

NOTES

▻ Clara and Peter will have a slowburn relationship. It will be strangers to friends to lovers. He will become extremely protective of her very early on in the story. Their relationship shouldn't start until sometime during Far From Home.

▻ Even after living on Earth for five years, Clara still doesn't completely understand the world. Most people see her as strange, but anyone in the superhero world thinks differently

▻ Clara is inspired by Starfire and will have some of the same powers as her.

▻ Wyatt is five years older than Clara, making him fifteen when they first meet. He's been living on his own since his parents died in a car accident a few months before they met. They develop a very strong sibling relationship and are very protective of each other. Nobody knows that Clara is living with him.
