PLOT

Jessica Walker lived a relatively normal life in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had parents who loved her, an older brother who protected her, and friends who adored her. She attended school, earned good grades, and was a member of the cheer team. She had everything she needed to have a successful life. Then everything changed in a heartbeat. It was just another night with the Walker family. They were out to dinner celebrating Joseph getting accepted into law school and Jessica graduating from high school. But what they didn't expect was a car running a red light, slamming into the side of their van. The accident took Jessica's parents away and left her brother with no memories of his sister.

Her life was now far from normal.

Jessica tried to continue living in her hometown, but it was too much for her. There were just too many painful memories left there. So she packed up her bags and moved to a small town to live with her cousin. Dustin Henderson was over the moon to have his cousin live with him, but he knew she wouldn't be like he remembered. Jessica had been through too much for her fun-loving self to stay. But Dustin was determined to protect whatever happiness was left in his cousin's life, even if that meant lying to her. He wouldn't let Jessica know about the strange things that happened in Hawkins, Indiana while she started over.

Little did he know that was a mistake.

Jessica was barely in town for a few days when Dustin took her to Scoops Ahoy, where she met Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington. Robin and Jessica instantly hit it off, but Steve Harrington drove her crazy with all of his questions and failed conversations. Things were starting to feel a bit more normal, which is exactly what she needed. But everything changed the day she met Billy Hargrove at the pool. He pursued her every day since then, refusing to take "no" for an answer. It soon led to Jessica giving in and accepting a date with the boy. Little did she know that Billy's mind was no longer his own.

Soon Jessica was dragged into some very strange things.

NOTES

▻ Jessica and Steve will have a slowburn relationship, and could also possibly be an on-again-off-again relationship. They annoy each other to no end, but are also always there for each other. They won't officially get together until sometime in season 4.

▻ Jessica and Dustin have always been close, but they will develop a sibling relationship after she moves in with him and his mom.

▻ Steve and Dustin save Jessica after Billy tries to connect her to the Mind Flayer.

▻ Jessica and Robin become best friends very quickly. They trust each other with everything and are rarely seen apart.

▻ Jessica becomes very protective of El and the other younger kids, especially after learning everything going on in Hawkins.

▻ Eddie becomes protective of Jessica very early on after witnessing what happened to Chrissy.

▻ I was going back and forth on having Jessica work at Scoops Ahoy. Maybe she can start working there after the incident with Billy.
