PLOT

Abigail Pierce had the perfect life. She grew up with her father in a nice neighborhood in Washington, D.C.. Alexander made sure his daughter had everything she needed to succeed. She went to the best private school throughout her educational career and made sure she had the best tutors. All of this helped her get into the biology and anatomy programs at George Washington University. Abi graduated at the top of her class, opening up a world of possibilities for a future career. Alexander was so proud of his daughter's accomplishments and she was the happiest she'd ever been.

Little did she know her father was using her for his personal gain.

Alexander offered Abi a job where she'd be working alongside him. She was over the moon by the idea of working with her father, who she had looked up to since she was a child. It started just like how she imagined it would be. Abi worked in the science wing and S.H.I.E.L.D. and helped in the forensics lab. She was living her dream. But after a few months, she was moved to a new division to work on one of her father's favorite projects. It was called the Winter Soldier Program.

That was when Abi discovered the truth about her father.

Abi did her best to get out of the project. She even went as far as pretending she didn't know what she was doing. But her father saw through all her tricks. After years of experimenting on willing and unwilling test subjects, Abi no longer enjoyed working. She felt as though she was trapped in her own body. That was until she met the man who was the project's first test subject. Abi and Bucky Barnes formed a connection from the moment they met. And despite all the times his memories were wiped, he always remembered her. Years went by of them working together, leading to Bucky creating a mission of his own.

He would save Abi, no matter the cost.

NOTES

▻ Abi and Bucky are both extremely protective of each other. They never stray far from each other and make sure the other always has what they need. They are both trying to recover from their pasts and help each other get through their darkest moments.

▻ Abi is at S.H.I.E.L.D. when the Helicarriers are taken down. She manages to escape the building before Bucky finds her. They go into hiding together soon after that.

▻ Abi is somewhat of an anchor for Bucky during his time as the Winter Soldier. He focuses on her every time he goes through the process of getting his mind wiped. It isn't much, but it helps him remember that he is still human.

▻ Abi will have mild depression and anxiety throughout this book. She will also have trust issues, which makes it hard for her to believe Steve wants to help them in Civil War. She and Steve eventually develop a sibling relationship.

▻ Abi and Bucky are together in Wakanda after Civil War. She is working with them to get HYDRA out of Bucky's head. During that process, Abi works on her trust issues. But they never truly go away.
