Chapter 13
Omg this book has gotten over 300 reads! I'm so happy! Thank you all for giving my book a chance!
Laying down on the couch, I picked my phone up and out of my back pocket to text Nik.
Me: Nik we need to talk.
Nik: What about little one?
Me: Something happened last night. Something that changes everything.
Nik: Do tell
Me: I need to talk to you about this in person Nik. I promise you that it's something you will want to see.
Nik: Are you keeping a secret?
Me: No. No secrets between us Nik. I need you to bring some people with you.
Nik: Who?
Me: Kol, Finn, and Elijah. Undaggered. You promised me that after we fixed the hybrid problem you would undagger them. I need them here in Mystic Falls as soon as possible. Don't tell them about my mates, I don't know if they would listen to me if they knew about Stefan and Damon.
Nik: Are you sure that I can not persuade you into telling me what the bloody hell is going on?
Me: Yes. Take a car down here once you've undaggered everyone. Stefan, Damon, Rebekah, and I will explain.
Nik: Fine. We will be with you by tomorrow.
Me: See you then!
Nik: Love you baby sister
Me: Love you too Nik. Always and forever.

While my mates and I would be waiting for the rest of the family to arrive and discuss the sudden resurrection of the brother we believed to be long dead and in the beyond, Henrik had taken it upon himself to join us at school for the day. The ways of learning from the 10th century differed greatly than that of the 21st, something that my baby brother learned quite quickly. There was no learning about hunting and the ways of the wild, just pictures of trees and animals in the Biology textbook.
The simple way of life had long passed, the age of technology was upon us. The young warlock seemed to love to take my phone and scroll through all of my photos and apps, much to my dismay. During class he would make smart remarks and the people around him would laugh. My brother was sociable, witty, and undeniably intelligent. Even if he had been there for just that one day, he had made himself known.
During History class, I could tell that the presence of my little brother pissed the young witch off. Henrik would just look at people with his puppy dog eyes and get whatever he wanted. I swear, he had his own form of compulsion with the ladies and even some of the men at the school.
"After the late Queen Marie Antionette reportedly said let them eat cake in response to her peasants not having any bread, she became a hated figure for the french revolutionaries," Alaric explained. Henrik had his feet on his desk casually.
"Let them eat cake!" Henrik exclaimed in a fake french accent. The class erupted with laughter. Alaric looked more annoyed with my brother than ever. Oh boy, this is going to be good. Nik and Kol taught him well. Worse than the both of them combined.
"Yes, Mr. Mikaelson, that is what the Queen reportedly said. Now, if you would refrain from simply repeating what I say in an accent," Alaric asked him. Henrik just shrugged and looked around the room and let out a laugh. Alaric shook his head at him, telling the class as the ring of the bell filled our ears, "Tomorrow is our quiz on Norway, so don't forget to study tonight!"

Nik was supposed to be coming with the rest of the family by tonight, but I don't think that he will be able to get here until tomorrow. Knowing my siblings, they'll probably try to get some sort of revenge. Kol will be throwing a fit. I just hope that Nik has tried to explain why he has undaggered them, that they need to come and see me. I just hope that knowing that I'm okay and awake will be enough to calm them into coming back to the house.
"So, meeting those other siblings of yours, how do you feel about it all?" I ask Damon, curling up on his chest in the room that we share with Stefan, who was trying to get more information out of Elena and catching up with Lexi.
"I'm more worried that they'll try and kill me. I can handle a warlock and a supermodel with anger issues, but a bunch of older brothers sounds awful. If they hate me, I'll be six feet under in a second. Even if I have your durability, they'll find a way to kill me," I put my hands on his chest and smile.
"They will do no such thing to you, Damon. You and Kol will get along just fine. Finn, even if he doesn't like you, will just brood. It's Elijah that may have a problem, considering that you did betray him. Even if that was before you met me, he does not take betrayal lightly. If he gives you a hard time, just tell me and I'll put him in his place. You're my mate and he will just have to learn how to love you just like he loves all of his brothers. I don't know how you men work, so I can't help with that." Damon laughs and kisses my hairline.
A knock could be heard at the front door. I got off of Damon and ran to Henrik, grabbing him and running him to the kitchen. "Hey! Don't just run me places! It makes my stomach hurt!" Henrik cries out, grabbing an apple from the fruit dish and throwing it at me.
"I think that it's Nik out there with everyone. Be back in a second!" I make my way back to the door where a much louder knock could be heard. I opened the door only to see Nik standing with an annoyed look on his face.
I gave him a big hug, one of which he returned. "I see you missed me, little one. Now that I am here I demand an explanation. You never get this cryptic with me!" I beamed and dragged him in the house, telling him to stay back so that I could speak with my brothers, before going back to the front door. There, standing right in front of me, were all of my big brothers.
Kol, with his usual cocky grin. Finn, with his unamused stare. Elijah, with his aura of mystery.
"Hello there, baby sister. Did you miss seeing my gorgeous face?" I hugged Kol. Damn, I love you and your stupid face. I missed you, big brother. You and your stupid smile and stupid face.
"Yes, I missed your stupid face," I remark. Elijah chuckles and removes me from Kol's grasp, wanting his turn with his little sister.
He wraps his arms around me and whispers, "I missed you so much, baby sister. I hated to not be able to talk to you about everything. I promise that I will not allow Nik to dagger you again." I freeze. Wait, does he not know about why I was daggered? Surely Nik told him. Elijah would have gone ballistic if Nik daggered me because he actually wanted to.
"Elijah, what did Nik tell you about the reason I was daggered?" I ask, putting a hand on his chest.
"Nothing. He told us nothing, baby sister," Kol responds.
"Okay. Nik didn't dagger me because he wanted to. He daggered me because he had to. There was no other option. I asked him to dagger me. When we were in Austin, Mikael had found the magical trace of some spells I had done. I had to take down the magical trace with the dagger. Nik didn't want to do it. He pleaded with me to find another way. In the end, he did what I told him to do, but I could tell that it hurt him more than anything. He promised me once that he would never dagger me. He may have been the one to hold the dagger, but I was truly the one to push it into my heart. Elijah, Kol, please hold no ill will over Nik for what I asked him to do. It was my fault. I should have found another way of getting Mikael off of our asses," tears filled my eyes as I spoke.
"Please do not be sad, little Astrid," Finn holds my hand in his. I wrap my arms around him and cry, tears falling down my face. "Little Astrid, we are here now. Mikael can not get us right now. Nik says that he put him away. He can not hurt you anymore. I will not allow him to hurt you anymore."
"I know that. Look, brothers, I have some people to show you. So much has happened in these past few months that I've been awake. I promised Nik that I would explain what was going on. They're in the kitchen right now. Please don't freak out when you see them. Nik!" I called into the living room. He came speeding back to me.
"Yes, Striddy?"
"The people that I need them and you to meet should still be in the kitchen. Did you see-" I was about to ask if he saw Stefan, but Stefan ran to me and took me into his arms. Shit. Shit. They don't know about my mates and Elijah probably doesn't know about Stefan-
My thoughts were cut off by the sound of Elijah breaking one of Stefan's arms. Stefan cried out in pain and tried to get him away. I used my magic and threw Elijah on the wall on the outside of the house. "Elijah! Do not attack him. He's with us!" Nik went over to assist Elijah in getting back up.
"Since when?" Elijah glares at Stefan.
"Since I found out she was my mate. Elijah, I am sorry about everything that happened. We can fill you in on everything once you see him. I promise, I'm on your side. I love Astrid and I would never go against her family. Please don't attack," Stefan pleads with my very pissed off older brother.
"Sister! Are you mates with Stefan Salvatore?" Elijah asks me instantly.
"Yes! Now, please, no more attacking. I'm also mates with Damon Salvatore. I need you to meet someone in the kitchen. Please no speeding, it still freaks him out." Finn just looks confused but tries to walk inside the house only to be blocked. Shit, right, we had taken away Elena's ownership and given it to Henrik, so nobody could get in just yet.
"New ownership?" Nik asks.
"Damn, I'll just bring him out here. Babe, can you go grab Damon and Rebekah?" My mate nods. I speed inside, doing exactly what I told my brothers not to do, to go get Henrik, who was still eating his apple. I grabbed him once again and brought him to the front door.
"Hey guys," Henrik waved to our siblings, who now looked like they were going to faint.
"Henrik!"
