Lyla inhaled deeply through her nose, keeping her eyes closed as she stretched her back out from the deep sleep. The warmth of the rising sun warmed her face as the memory of the night prior flooded her mind. She remembered the soft touches and reassuring words. She could almost still feel his kisses lingering on her skin. She wouldn't lie, it hurt like a motherfucker at first, Isaac wasn't a small man in any way, shape, or form. But he was soft, slow, always asking if she was okay.
She reached out to the spot beside her, smile faltering at the empty spot, still warm from his presence. She peeled her eyes open, taking in the abandoned sheets beside her. She sat up quickly, allowing the sheets to fall down over her chest, which was covered by the sweater she had stolen from him the night before. Her eyes quickly landed on the fully dressed boy on the other side of the room in front of her dresser with his back to her. "Isaac? What are you doing? Come back." She teasingly pleaded, patting the bed next to her. She frowned at his silence, "Isaac?"
"What is this?" He kept his back to her, lifting the taser baton in one hand and the small jar of Kanima venom so she could see it over his shoulder. She furrowed her brows, "Uh, Argent gave them to me, in case Stiles came here. They're non-lethal, easy to knock him out long enough to get Scott here."
He lowered both of them, before holding up the set of silver ring daggers Allison had gifted to her, "These look pretty lethal, wouldn't you say?" Lyla furrowed her brows in confusion, tossing the covers off her body and swinging her legs over the side of her bed, "Isaac, are you okay?" Her feet hit the cold wooden floor, sweater falling over her thighs as she stood. "Maybe it's best we keep a few lethal weapons around. Especially with the twins staying in town."
Lyla paused, placing her hand on his lower back, "Isaac, we're giving them a second chance, remember? I'm not ecstatic about it either, but Scott wants to trust them." Isaac didn't turn to look at her, keeping his eyes on the few weapons the Argents had supplied her with, slowly packing them into one of her black backpacks. "Isaac, what are you doing? Stop that." She reached out to grab the taser gun as he tried to put it in the bag, "I had a feeling you'd try to stop me." He mumbled, reaching out and grabbing her wrist.
"Isaac." She winced, releasing the taser to grasp at the hand holding her wrist, "You're hurting me." He sighed, grabbing one of the vials of venom and twisting it open with one hand. Her eyes widened, panic setting in as she pushed against him, "Isaac, stop!"
He released her arm, grabbing her face quickly to open her mouth. She struggled against him, tears slowly forming in her eyes as he raised the vial to her lips. "Stop!" Her muffled pleas fell on deaf ears as a drop of the venom entered her mouth, the thick liquid sour on her tongue.
He released her mouth, Lyla falling to the floor and landing on her butt as he capped the vial and placed it in the bag. She could feel her limbs growing numb, unable to move her fingers or toes as he threw the bag over his shoulder. "Isaac!" She pleaded, body slumping to the floor unmoving as he exited her bedroom.
She couldn't fathom why he was doing this, why his eyes looked so void of emotion. Why he was doing this after their night together. Tears slowly fell down her cheeks as she laid on the floor, blonde hair fallen around her face, strands soaking up her tears. She was screwed. Jo had an opening shift this morning, meaning she was already gone.
Her heart thumped in her ears as her phone began ringing from her nightstand, vibrations causing the device to move slightly around the wood. "Fuck!" She cried out, attempting to move her fingers. She couldn't feel anything, only the agonizing pain from the inability to move. Closing her eyes and sucking in a deep breath, she focused her mind on moving her fingers. She's a werewolf, she should be able to heal from this quickly.
She lied on the floor for 10 minutes before she managed to twitch her finger, a relieved chuckle breaking the silence of the room. Slowly, she managed to move her wrist, then her elbow, then her arm. Gradually, she had dragged herself over to the nightstand and reached for her phone, ignoring the missed call from Scott, shaky fingers typing out Allisons contact before pressing call.
"Morning, Lyla. Everything okay?"
"Something is wrong with Isaac." She breathed, sitting up against her nightstand and leaning her head back against it. "He came over last night, and-and this morning, he was talking about the weapons you and your dad gave me, and then he shoved fucking Kanima venom down my throat. I think he's going to the school, he mentioned something about the twins."
"Okay, okay. Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" She heard shuffling on the other end, and she shook her head, pulling herself to her feet, "No, no I'm okay. I'm leaving for the school now. Meet me there. Call Kira."
She ended the call, shaky limbs guiding her to her closet to change.

She heard the growling from the locker room, feet pumping quickly to carry her to the room. She swung the door to Coach's office open, eyes wide at the sight of Isaac, Aiden and Ethan growling at Allison and Kira. Quickly, she lunged forward and grabbed the two girls, yanking them into the office and slamming the door. "The desk." Allison mumbled, moving to the wooden desk as Allison and Kira grabbed the other side, the three girls pushing it against the door.
"That's not gonna hold them long." Lyla muttered, watching as her boyfriend bared his sharp teeth and yellow eyes at her on the other side of the door. "Was that a good idea?" Kira panted, Allison shaking her head. "Probably not."
They watched with wide eyes as Isaac turned to the twins, the three werewolves quick to attack each other. Lyla swallowed thickly, keeping her eyes on them with heavy breaths. "They're not going to kill each other, are they?" Kira worried, neither of the girls having time to respond before the twins threw Isaac into the door, shattering the window and sending glass to the floor.
"I think they're going to try."
Lyla winced as the twins grabbed Isaac and threw him to the other side of the locker room, Allison holding her crossbow up and rushing over to the door. "C'mon." Allison muttered, swinging the other door of Coach's office open, the three girls shuffling out into the econ classroom. "What the hell is wrong with them?" Kira as in confusion as they exited the classroom, now standing in front of the locker room doors.
"I have a feeling it has to do with the nogitsune." Lyla muttered, flicking her claws out as they prepared themselves. "Remember." Allison winced, holding her crossbow up as Kira readied her sword, "Try not to kill them."
Lyla nodded, Kicking the door open in sync with Kira, the girls entering the locker room steadily. The three werewolves stopped their fighting and growled at them, Allison veering to the left towards Aiden and Kira holding her sword above her head at Ethan. Lyla flashed her blue eyes at Isaac, growling back at him as he bared his teeth at her.
She lunged, dodging his hit with a jump backwards, bringing her foot up and kicking him backwards in the chest. He stood to his feet, Lyla walking backwards as he growled loudly at her. She collided with Allisons back, Kira stepping back into them as well as the three werewolves crowded them.
Suddenly, the three of them fell to the floor, bodies limp while the girls watched with wide eyes. Black fluid began slowly pouring from their lips and noses, Lyla panting heavily as she watched Isaac loose consciousness.
Lyla licked her dry lips, eyes going back to normal, "I'm gonna call Deaton."

Lyla winced as Deaton shoved his hand in Ethan's mouth, the boy struggling under the flowing water of the shower, "Hold still." Deaton warned, "Don't fight it. Hold still." She gripped Isaac's arm tighter as Ethan thrashed. Lyla held back her gag as Ethan retched against Deaton's hand, the older man yanking his hand out and dropping a dead fly to the floor. She watched as the insect washed down the drain with the black fluid, Ethan stumbling forward as he tried to catch his breath.
Deaton turned to Isaac, the boy shaking his head nervously, eyes flashing yellow. "Isaac, you're next." Isaac put a shaky hand out, "Wait, alright-" Deaton grabbed Isaac's shoulders, Lyla releasing his arm as Deaton shoved him under the shower, black fluids washing from his face and flooding the clear water on the floor.
She watched Isaac thrash against Deaton as the man reached into his mouth, "Don't fight it." Isaac gagged, grasping Deatons hand. "Don't fight." Allison appeared beside her, Lyla grabbing the girls wrist nervously, both of them watching Isaac fight against Deaton., "Isaac, stay still."
"Got it." Deaton grunted, yanking his hand out and dropping the fly into the water. Lyla released Allisons wrist as Isaac stumbled back over to her, the blonde reaching up to place a hand on his back. Deaton shut the water off, Lyla looking nervously back at the man, "They're okay now, right?"
He quirked his head to the side, "I hope so. The part that's worrisome is that this was most likely just a distraction for what was happening to Stiles." Isaac reached up, gently taking ahold of Lyla's hand that rested against his chest.
"There's really two of him now? How is that even possible?" Kira asked nervously, Lyla's eyes glancing between Isaac and Deaton. Allison threw her head back, "And how did the other one just take Lydia?"
"We turned around and they were gone. So was her car."
"So no one notices him just kidnapping her right out of the house?" Aiden rolled his eyes, Deaton shrugging, "Most of us were concentrated on the bizarre sight of a creature, materializing from out of the floor." Lyla frowned, looking up from the ground to Deaton, "Wait, how are you sure which Stiles is which?"
Deaton inhaled deeply, "That's what they're trying to figure out."

Lyla shakily exhaled as she entered Scott's room behind the Alpha, eyes softening at the sight of Stiles, sitting up on the bed with Melissa next to him. "Is she here?" Stiles asked, Scott sending him a small nod, "Yeah." Lyla frowned, peeling her eyes from Stiles to look at the ground. She didn't like this idea at all.
"Okay. Let's do this." Stiles muttered, the boy looking around at each of their worried faces, "Guys, we have to do this." Lyla huffed, stepping around Scott and over to the side of the bed to help Stiles stand, "I don't like this." She whispered to him, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as he stood to his feet, "I know." He whispered back, the four of them exiting the room and making their way down the stairs, where Noshiko stood in the living room.
"Do you recognize me?" She asked stoically, hands in her jacket pockets. Stiles patted Lyla's hand, removing his arm from his shoulder and stepping forward as Kira ran into the room, her mother holding her back, "Stop."
"It's okay." Stiles reassured her, "I'm the one who asked her to come."
"You're the one who's going to get stabbed with swords." Kira panted, Lyla biting the inside of her cheek at the visual. "Mom, don't do this to him."
"It's already done."
Lyla stepped back as two Oni appeared in the room, Melissa gasping next to her. The Oni lurched forward, grabbing Stiles by the back of the neck. Lyla gasped, holding Melissas hand as it's glowing eyes stared down at Stiles. Several seconds passed, before the Oni released him, Stiles dropping to the floor as they disappeared.
Lyla flew forward, dropping to her knees to prevent his head from hitting the floor, Scott dropping next to her behind the shaking boy. "Look behind his ear." Noshiko spoke as Kira dropped next to Lyla, the blonde girl pushing his hair back and lifting his ear, revealing the black backwards five imprinted in the skin.
"It worked." Lyla breathed, dropping her neck in relief. "So, I'm actually me?" Stiles muttered, sitting up slowly to look at Noshiko. "More you than the nogitsune."
"Can the Oni find him?"
Noshiko shook her head, "Tomorrow night. It's too close to dawn now." Lyla looked up at the woman as Stiles huffed, "Can they kill him?" Noshiko quirked her head, "Depends on how strong he is."
"W-What about Lydia?" Scott stuttered, "Why would he take her?"
"He would only take her for an advantage." Lyla frowned, holding Stiles' shaking shoulder as Scott's face fell, "You mean her power?" Noshiko nodded, "The power of a banshee."

Lyla's breathing was shaky as she gripped the handles of her bike tightly. Her and Isaac were looking for Lydia's car while Scott and Stiles went to the Sheriff's station. Isaac held her waist loosely behind her, Lyla biting her cheek nervously. It had been slightly tense since she had picked him up from the animal hospital, where Deaton was doing extra checks on him and the twins.
The sun had risen low in the sky, shining rays of orange and red over the small town. She built the courage to speak up, just as she stopped at a red light. Biting the inside of her cheek, she looked over at the industrial parking lot next to her to think of what to say. But at the sight of the familiar blue car, her face fell. "Is that it?" She mumbled, catching Isaac's attention as the light turned green.
Quickly, she pulled into the lot, parking the bike as she stared at the blue Toyota behind a locked fence. Hastily, she jumped off the bike, Isaac mirroring her as they approached the gate. "That's it, right?" She mumbled, Isaac grabbing the chain and pulling it apart, smiling down at her weakly as he opened it for her. "Yeah, that's it." She mumbled, rushing towards the vehicle.
"The scents strong with emotion." Isaac muttered, Lyla's nose twitching as she inhaled the emotions, reaching out to the drivers side door, "Anger. Sounds like Lydia." She opened the car door, sitting down in the drivers seat and opening the center console. It held nothing but a tube of lip gloss, a compact mirror, tissues and a hair clip.
Isaac opened the passenger door, sitting down and opening the glove compartment. "Hey," Her voice cracked, looking over at him, "Just-just out of curiosity, you-do you remember the other night?" He looked over at her with furrowed brows, "The other night?"
She bit her lip, looking down at the steering wheel, "Mhm. The night, before you...weren't you?" She swallowed thickly, glancing over at him from the corner of her eye. "You mean..." He closed the glove compartment, "The night before yesterday?"
She nodded, "Were you, you, or were you, not you?" Isaac inhaled, "You mean, the night we were, us?" She felt her lips quirk at the corner, looking over at him and nodding. "Yeah. Of course, I remember." He mumbled, Lyla nodding nervously, "I was just wondering because-because you said something, and we did something. And, I just didn't know if you were you you, or if you were nogitsune possessed you."
Isaac smiled lightly, "I remember it. I-I meant it." She smiled with a nod, turning her head to look out the window, "Cool, Cool, I-I meant it...too."
She chuckled at the lingering tension, smile faltering at the smudges against the drivers window. Leaning forward, she breathed heavily against the glass, fog revealing the words DONT FIND ME hidden on it. She looked back at Isaac, who was frowning at the message written in Lydia's handwriting.

Lyla huffed as she closed Lydia's car door, looking over at Isaac before back at Scott's house. She had left her bike at the parking lot and hotwired Lydia's car to bring it back. "Stiles said to wait for them inside, they're on their way." Isaac mumbled, pulling out his house key as they stood in front of the front door. She picked at her fingernails as they stepped inside, Lyla pausing in her place when her eyes landed on Scott's dad.
"Why are you two not in school?" He asked, stuffing his hands in his slacks pockets. "Um-I had a free period? So did Lyla..." Isaac lied, the older man inhaling deeply and gesturing to the dining room table. Lyla huffed, following Isaac to the table and sitting down in the chair.
They sat for a few minutes, Mr. McCall pulling out his phone, presumably to text Melissa as the front door opened and Stiles, Scott and a girl Lyla assumed was Meredith stumbled through. Lyla smiled meekly up at Scott, before back down at her black nail polish. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing." Mr. McCall responded, Stiles gesturing to Lyla and Isaac, "Free period! We're doing group study." Mr. McCall raised an eyebrow, "Who's she?" Stiles stuttered, wrapping an arm around Meredith, "She's my girlfriend." Meredith peered up at him, "You're not my type."
Lyla stifled her laugh at Stiles' fallen face, "Well, obviously we have a lot to talk about. We should, maybe take this upstairs." Lyla raised an eyebrow as Meredith looked over at Isaac, "He's my type." She squinted at the girl, Isaac stuttering next to her as they each looked at the tall boy. Stiles' eye twitched, "Okay, Isaac, you can come too."
"Uh-" Isaac muttered as Stiles guided Meredith to the stairs, "I think this conversation includes me too." Lyla mumbled, standing with Isaac and following them up the stairs, leaving Scott and his dad alone.
