Lyla hugged her arms around herself as she watched the police officers in bomb gear frantically rushing around the bus lot, surrounding the bus that Jared, and the bomb, was on.

Her eyes drifted to the Sheriff and Deputy Parrish, the latter frantically pulled bomb gear over his chest, the Sheriff speaking to him in hushed whispers about waiting for the bomb squad, Parrish arguing his experience in the army as an HDT.

Stiles stood to her left, Scott on the other side of him with the twins next to Scott. Her head shot over to her right, where Hunter had pushed himself through the crowd with wide eyes. "What's happening?" He panted, eyes widening at the sight of his brother preparing to get on the bus. "Uh," Lyla cleared her throat as Parrish took a deep breath and entered the bus, "Jared might be holding a bomb."

Lyla turned back to the bus, ears catching the quick heartbeat and heavy breathing of the spastic boy next to her. She looked up at Stiles, biting her lip and grabbing his elbow in comfort. He sighed, not peeling his eyes away from the bus but breathing slowing down a touch.

A few moments passed, Lyla listening in on Parrish talking to Jared, keeping him calm. She couldn't tell if it was her own heartbeat pounding in her ears, or the quick heartbeats of the nervous students around her, the static crackling of the Sheriff's radio echoing on his shoulder.

"It's not a bomb, sir, but there's something in the box." She breathed out a relieved sigh, squeezing Stiles' elbow as Parrish approached the bus windshield. She squinted as he slammed something against the glass, eyes widening at the Sheriff's nametag that sat on his desk at the station.

She looked over at Scott, who was staring at Stiles with wide eyes. Stiles reached up with his opposite hand and rubbed his mouth in worry, before looking down at Lyla. She swallowed thickly, the Sheriff scrambling to his phone to call the station as Parrish rushed out of the bus, Jared following close behind him.

Scott turned to stand in front of Lyla and Stiles, the twins stepping next to him to form a small circle as the crowd dispersed. She watched as Hunter rushed over to his brother, her attention falling back to Scott, "It's at the station. He tricked us."

The police station was dark, the setting sun doing little to light it as the bomb had taken out the power. Deputy's lay injured on the floor, dust still lingering in the air as ambulance sirens that only Scott and Lyla could hear rang from the far distance.

She choked back her tears as Scott and Stiles fell to the floor next to a dying officer, Lyla's eyes flicking around the destroyed station. A heavy breath escaped her as Chris Argent and Derek stood from the floor, both men disheveled and covered in dirt. She charged over to the mumbling men, grasping Derek's arms he struggled to stand. "Why the hell are you two here?" She gasped, looking up at Derek at the sight of blood covered glass shards sticking out of his upper back.

"Are you okay?" She looked up at Chris, who nodded, "Why the hell are you guys here?" She whispered to the hunter, Derek's heavy, exhausted breaths fanning on her neck. She grabbed his arm a little tighter as Chris sighed, looking around at the station. She looked back at Scott and Stiles, who stumbled back into Kira.

She mumbled something about the Oni, Stiles nodding over at Scott. Scott looked back at her with wide eyes, and she nodded, "Go. I'll meet you out there." She whispered, helping Derek keep his balance. The Alpha nodded, grabbing Stiles and pulling both him and Kira out of the station. She looked around the station, releasing Derek and walking over to the Sheriff. Before she could speak, he shook his head and placed hands on her shoulders, "Go. Get out of here, go protect my son."

Lyla nodded, rushing out of the station and out into the rain, where Scott was helping Kira into the back seat. Lyla rushed towards them, nodding at Scott as he stepped back to allow her to slide into the backseat next to Kira.

When Scott hopped in, Stiles took off out of the parking lot. "Get to the clinic. Deaton says it's protected." Scott instructed Stiles, the boy turning the wheel in the direction of the clinic. "It's an animal clinic?" Kira questioned, Lyla sighing as she pushed the wet hair out of her face. "Yeah, the place is lined with mountain ash. Just like my house. It will buy us time."

"Yeah, but they can get through it?" Stiles worried, rushing through the empty streets, running red lights frantically, Scott shrugging, "Eventually." Stiles stuttered at his best friend, "Nobody's got any better ideas?"

Lyla huffed, "Well it's not like they can't get through Scott's house. They proved they could last week." Stiles looked back at Lyla, before sighing , "Okay, sure. Animal Clinic."

Soon, Stiles' Jeep screeched to a stop outside of the animal clinic, the four of them rushing out of the car into the rain.

Just before they got to the door, Lyla and Scott stopped at the feeling of the Oni's behind them, turning back to stare at them as they appeared out of the darkness. "Stiles, get inside." Scott spoke over the rain, tossing his keys back at the boy. Stiles caught them easily as Scott's face morphed, Kira watching in worry as the Alpha charged the Oni. Lyla huffed, wet blonde hair flicking around her face as she looked back at Stiles struggling to get the door open. Turning back to Scott, her eyes began glowing blue as she bared her teeth at the Oni, jumping forward into the fight beside Scott.

She threw a clawed hand at the Oni, the spirit dodging her attack with a bend backwards. "Kira, get inside. Kira!" She heard Stiles shouting behind her, the blonde ignoring the urge to run back and shove Stiles inside. She jumped backwards when the Oni shot it's sword out at her, flipping backwards and kicking it under the jaw. It flew backwards, stumbling but catching it's balance before charging back at her.

She landed another punch at it's chest, bending back as his sword almost hit her neck. She looked back in a panic, watching as Stiles watched from the doorway and Kira fought an Oni with a large piece of piping. Her eyes widened as a sword flew in front of her face, stepping back and slinging around to kick the offending Oni in the side, sending it to the ground.

She paused at the smell of blood, looking back as an Oni shoved it's sword through Scott's stomach. Kira dropped the bar, rushing over to Scott and grabbing him. Lyla huffed, face going back to normal as she ran over to the Alpha. "Get him inside. Get him inside!" She shouted over the rain, the two girls wrapping an arm under his shoulders and dragging the wounded Alpha quickly over to Stiles, who held the door open for them.

Scott gasped in pain as Kira and Lyla brought him into the examination room, leaning him back against a table. Stiles stood back with wide eyes as Scott grunted in pain, Lyla swallowing thickly as Kira stared at the sword. Kira reached out with a wince, grabbing the sword by the handle, ready to pull it out. Lyla leaned back nervously against the table across from Scott, heaving in exhaustion.

Kira cried out as Stiles grabbed her wrist tightly, pulling her away from the sword. "Stiles?" Lyla mumbled, straightening up as he slammed Kira's head against the exam table. "Stiles!" Lyla gasped, stepping out in front of Scott. She didn't want to hurt Stiles. God she didn't want to hurt Stiles. Yet, when he looked at her, she didn't see Stiles.

The boy sighed, face growing dark and devoid of emotion as he stared at her, "Move."

Lyla shook her head, stepping closer in an attempt to appear threatening, but Stiles huffed and grabbed her around the neck. She groaned at the odd amount of strength from the boy, eyes wide as he picked her up from the ground and roughly threw her into the wall behind her, knocking her unconscious.

When she woke, Deaton was hovering over her with worried eyes, "There you are. Up." He sighed, helping the girl to her feet. Her eyes widened in panic, "Stiles-"

"I poisoned the fox inside him. He'll wake in a few moments." Lyla looked back at a healed Scott, who was helping Kira from the ground. "It was him all along? He was tricking us?"

Deaton nodded, leaning her against the table to help her regain her balance. She looked past the man at Stiles, who was unconscious on the floor. She hated seeing him like that. And she'll never forget the look in his eyes before he grabbed her. Dark, terrifying, no trace of emotion or life anywhere in the hazel.

Lyla was downright exhausted. Her head hurt from the nogitsunes attack, and she hadn't had proper sleep in days. Deaton had dropped her off at the school to pick up her bike, the girl driving straight home in a sleep-deprived craving for her bed.

And she had almost made it to her bed when she got the frantic call from Scott, telling her that the Sheriff was taking Stiles to Eichen House.

The rain had fortunately cleared up, meaning the drive to Eichen wasn't too bad, leaving Lyla shaking with anxiety as she approached the scary building. Scott's bike appeared next to her, neither of them taking their eyes off the road. In the distance, the Sheriff's Toyota came to a stop and Stiles climbed out.

Their bikes came to a halt, Lyla not removing her helmet as she jumped off the machine and stumbled towards Stiles. "Why didn't you say something before you made the decision?" She mumbled, peeling the helmet off and staring up at Stiles. Scott appeared beside her, the Sheriff sighing, "Because we wanted to avoid something like this."

"It's only 72 hours." Stiles attempted to comfort the two werewolves, but it did nothing for Lyla's anxiety. "This is the same place where Barrow came from. The guy who had a tumor inside him filled with flies." Scott huffed, looking up at the building before back at the Sheriff, "You don't know everything yet."

"I know enough. Nogitsunes, Kitsunes, oni, or whatever they're called." Lyla nodded, face falling into an impressed expression, Stiles mirroring her face, "Wow, that was all surprisingly correct." Lyla nodded, looking down at her boots, "Yeah, no that was pretty good."

"Guys, I saw an MRI that looked exactly like my wife's. And it terrifies me. I'm headed down to L.A tomorrow to talk to a specialist." Lyla frowned, clutching her helmet tightly, "But why put him in here? This place is literally terrifying."

"He's not." Stiles mumbled, "It was my decision." Lyla's heart dropped, tears threatening to spill as they flooded her eyes, "Stiles, I-we can't help you or protect you if you're in there." He shook his head, placing a hand on her elbow as his eyes flicked between his friends, "And I can't hurt you again."

Scott shook his head and swallowed thickly, "Deaton's got some ideas. Argent's calling people. We're gonna find something, and if we can't-" Stiles cut him off, "If you can't..." Stiles released Lyla's elbow and stepped closer to Scott, "If you can't, then you have to do something for me, okay? Make sure I never get out."

"C'mon." Stiles stepped back, looking over at his dad before back at Lyla. "I'll see you guys in three days." Lyla bit her cheek, nodding at him as the Sheriff guided him to the gates, the machine buzzing and allowing them in. She watched the gates close behind them, releasing a heavy breath, "I don't like this place, Scott. Temporary holds in psych wards don't allow visits."

"If we figure something out before the hold is up, we'll break him out. I don't care."

Lyla tapped her foot against the carpeted floor nervously, head perking up as Allison flung her door open. Scott looked back at her, then back at the twins behind her as they all entered the apartment, "My father said all of the Katashi evidence is being moved to a federal lockup by armored car tonight. Probably within the next few hours." Lydia stood at the end of the hallway, Allison coming to a stop beside her.

Lyla's jaw dropped, "We're going to rob a federal armored car?" Lydia inhaled deeply, "Well, we're going to try."

Lyla huffed, "Great. More illegal activity."

The group had gathered in Argents office, Lyla leaning against the desk with Lydia to her left. "This is a really bad plan." Scott mumbled, Lydia shaking her head and pursing her lips, "It's not that bad."

"It's not that good," Ethan rounded the desk to look at the map. "None of us knows the route they're going to take. If Allison can get one of her dad's GPS trackers on the armored car, then we can follow it."

"So when it get's here," Lyla watched as Allison pointed to a bridge on the map, "We attack them?" Aiden spoke from the chair behind her, Lyla huffed, both her and Lydia turn back to him with disappointed expressions. "No. Your bikes will be in the middle of the road, looking like you guys got into an accident." Lydia smiled sarcastically, turning back to the map, "And when the driver gets out to help..."

"We attack him."

"No." Allison and Lydia spoke in sync, Lyla hiding her smile to look back at Aiden. "You'll distract him. And Scott and Lyla will break open the back door."

Scott sighed, "I hope." Lydia turned to Ethan, "And you will get Katashi's finger." Ethan frowned, "It's not his actual finger, is it?"

Lyla raised an eyebrow, turning her head to make eye contact with Lydia, who pursed her lips, "You are so out of our league." Lyla chuckled with a roll of her eyes. "Why aren't we just going to Stilinski for help?" Ethan questioned, Scott looking up at him, "Because if he gets caught, then it's the Sheriff tampering with federal evidence."

"Guys, this is going to work. We can do this." Allison reassured them, "We're losing Stiles, my dad is in jail for murder. We need to do this."

Lyla squinted over Allisons shoulder at the armored truck, the four teens tucked between two cars, hidden by the dark skies. Allison looked back at Kira, "You're up." Kira nodded, looking down at the tracker in her hand and ducking out from between the cars and rushing over to the truck.

Lyla breathed in relief as Kira placed the tracker under the bumper, smiling back at them. The door of the station opened, Kira's eyes widening as she hid on the other side of the truck. Parrish emerged, swinging the truck door open, she watched him pause, pulling his gun and pointing it in the truck. Lyla frowned, sticking her head between Allison and Scott, "What the hell?"

"We have to do something?" Scott whispered as Parrish rounded the truck. Lyla's heart skipped a beat as the back of the truck swung open a man jumping out and knocking Parrish unconscious, recognizing the man as Kincaid, Katashi's werewolf security guard. "Who the hell is that?" Scott gasped, Allison lowering her bow as Lyla sucked in a breath, "Kincaid. One of Katashi's men."

Kincaid pulled something out of the truck, Scott, Allison and Lyla rushed from between the cars to stand behind him. Allison drew her crossbow, pointing it at his head as Scott spoke, "We need that finger." Kincaid turned back to them, holding the finger in front of his face with a smirk. Lyla glanced up at the truck, where Kira was slowly and quietly climbing on top of it. "Why should I give it to you?"

"There's a briefcase in there with $150,000 in it." Allison spoke, not moving her crossbow. "The scroll inside this prosthetic finger in worth three million." Scott shook his head, "Give me the finger." Lyla paused, Kincaid raising an eyebrow. "You know what I mean."

Kira jumped from the truck, landing on Kincaid's back. She didn't last long, Kincaid throwing her to the ground with ease, looking up at Scott with bared teeth and blue eyes, "I guess negotiations are over." He growled, Lyla and Scott face morphing as they prep oared for the fight. Allisons arrow whizzed through the air, landing in Kincaids shoulder.

He growled, pulling the arrow from his flesh and tossing it to the ground. Kira lunged, throwing punches that he easily blocked, grabbing her by the neck and tossing her against the brick wall. He threw the back of his clawed hand against Allisons face, sending her flying to the floor. Lyla growled eyes glowing blue as she threw herself at him, dodging a punch and grabbing his elbow, using the tall mans height as an advantage to lift herself and bring his face into her knee.

He groaned, gripping her wrist and yanking him off of him, bringing her arm behind her back and throwing her into the wall as well. She landed next to Allison with a grunt of pain, Scott attacking Kincaid.

The fought for a moment, Kincaid bringing Scott to the ground before bending over him, "You have the eyes of an Alpha. But where's the strength?"

"Up here."

Her eyes shot up to Aiden and Ethan, who stood on the loading dock. They growled, jumping down and attacking Kincaid. Lydia appeared, helping Allison from the ground before bending down and lifting Lyla. The blonde groaned, clutching Lydia's shoulder as she regained her balance.

The twins took down Kincaid easily, throwing him to the floor beside Scott. The twins growled loudlyt at him, murder evident in their glowing blue eyes. "Ethan, Aiden." Scott grunted, pushing himself from the ground. The twins approached Kincaid, Lydia releasing Allison and Lyla and rushing towards them, "Stop!" Aiden scoffed, "You want him to come after us? Scott, we've seen guys like this. Trust us. He's dangerous." Scott shook his head, "So are we. And he looks smart enough to remember that."

Kincaid raised himself to his knees, wiping the blood from his face in exhaustion. Scott stepped forward, grabbing the prosthetic finger from Kincaids pocket, dropping the small scroll into his hand. Scott inhaled in relief, looking over at Allison with a smile. "We're here to save a life. Not end one." Scott dropped the metal to the floor, holding the scroll with gentle care as the twins glanced around at the others.
