Current time: 8.30 pm

"Addie can you pass me the salad bowl please?" Michelle called out.

"Yes, here you go." Adalyn smiled as she gave her the bowl.

"Guys tomorrow is another concert. Ruel you excited?" Nate said.

"Yes of course. I always love performing." Ruel replied.

"How about you all? Chelsea, Beau and Jack?" He asked them.

"Super excited." Chelsea said.

"Me too." Beau said.

"Ditto same." Jack said.

"And you Adalyn?" Nate asked.

"Oh, very excited. Now I have a few of Michelle's tricks up my sleeve, they'll help me click even better pictures." She said.

"You are seriously one of the best photographer we've ever seen." Nate complimented.

"Oh my god thank you." She said.

"Agreed." Beau said as he raised his hand.

"Preach." Chelsea said just like him.

"Please don't compliment me this much." Adalyn said as she gushed at the compliments.

"You deserve it dear." Kate said softly.

"Please no." Adalyn cried as she covered her face with her hands. Everyone continued eating their food. They soon finished with it, including dessert and were on their way to their rooms. As Adalyn sat down on the bed, her phone began to ring. It was Lorelai FaceTime-ing her. They both hadn't talked for long, but had texted frequently.

"Hey Lori." Adalyn smiled.

"Hey Addie. What's up?" Lorelai greeted.

"Nothing much, just had dinner. What about you?"

"I'm fine. Tell me, everything is alright, right?" Lorelai asked worriedly. She knew everything that happened during the internship.

"Yes, we're going to keep it professional and possibly give dating a try in the future."

"That's great. Oh wow, Ruel can be my future brother-in-law." Lorelai said dreamily. She and Adalyn were practically sisters.

"Oh shut up." Adalyn said as Lorelai began to laugh.

"Oh your performance! When is it?" Adalyn asked, changing the subject.

"Tomorrow only. I'm so excited, yet nervous." Lorelai said as she began chewing her nails. It's her old habit; chewing nails when nervous.

"Don't be! You're one of the best dancers I've ever seen!"

"Thanks Addie. What's on your schedule now?"

"Well, for now it's sleep," Lorelai let out a chuckle, "but Ruel has another concert tomorrow. So I'm excited for that."

"Ooh nice. Have fun."

"Oh hi Lori." Coco was in the washroom and just came out to see Adalyn and Lorelai talking.

"Hey Coco how are you?" Lorelai smiled.

"I'm good." She replied. "And relieved that the problem is solved for now." Lorelai let out a chuckle.

"I'm happy too that it is solved. I can't see Addie broken." She said.

"Aww Lori love you." Adalyn said.

"Love you too." She replied back.

"Well I have to practice with Vera one last time today. See ya." She said.

"Bye see ya." Adalyn said as she disconnected the call.

"Lorelai is very nice." Coco said as she laid down in bed.

"Yes you're right. I love her so much." Adalyn said as she went to the bathroom herself to change. Within minutes, she came out in her pyjamas and laid down with Coco. Both of them were asleep within seconds.

Day VII of the internship; 18th October:

"Wow I'm so excited for it!" Adalyn said as she brushed her hair.

"Yes, me too." Coco said as she did the same thing as Adalyn.

"Ruel's concert was amazing the first time, it will be amazing even now." She said. "I hope a girl like Alexis doesn't come again."

"She won't, don't worry. And even if someone like her comes, don't listen to them, they are only jealous of you." Coco said to comfort Adalyn.

"Thanks. I'll do my best to not let negativity get the best of me."

"'That's the spirit! Let's go for breakfast."

"Okay." They both went downstairs to the restaurant.

"How's your mum now? She was stressed out yesterday about Ruel." Adalyn asked as she and Coco walked to the table where everyone was sitting.

"She's fine. Me and Ruel told her that he was pressuring himself about his music only, nothing else. It seemed as if she bought it, but she's our mum. She'll come to know if we're lying or not, and the look on her face confirmed that."

"What sort of look did she have?"

"Well, it looked as if she had bought it, but not a hundred percent. Like she knows we're lying. She looked convinced and unconvinced at the same time. I don't think this can be kept a secret from her for long though." Coco admitted.

"Oh, okay. But I don't think this can be kept as a secret for long from everyone." Adalyn said as she sat down on a chair and Coco sat down next to her. They both lowered their voices so that no one else on the table could listen.

"Yup I fear the same thing." Coco whispered.

"What are you both girls whispering about?" Michelle asked from across the table.

"Oh nothing." Coco said.

"They both are close friends now. They probably have there own secrets." Ruel piped in the conversation.

"Right." Michelle said as she laughed a little.

Ruel turned around to look at Adalyn and Coco. Adalyn mouthed a quick 'thank you' and he smiled  back with a wink.

"Guys the schedule for today is the same as the first concert. That means sound check at 4.00 pm, concert at 5.00 pm and meet and greet at 7.00 pm." Nate said.

"Okay Nate." Everyone said in unison.

"Great." He said before returning to his plate of food.

After everyone had finished their food they went back upstairs. Nate had said that everyone needs to be down to be on their way to the venue at 3.00 pm. Adalyn sat down on the bed with Coco on her side. Adalyn's phone buzzed with notifications.

This is Lorelai's performance!
She won first prize!

With the message there was a video of Lorelai.

Mum ❤

That's great!!

You can call her within 30 minutes
and congratulate her.

Got it mum.

"Coco guess what." Adalyn asked Coco, who was texting someone on her phone.

"Yeah?" She said looking up from her phone.

"Lorelai won the competition! Mum just informed me. Wanna see her video?"

"Oh my god that's so nice! Yeah of course."

Adalyn opened the video and pressed play on it. It began with Lorelai in the centre of the stage, giving her best. The whole crowd was screaming and shouting and hooting for Lorelai. She did western dance, and was commendable at it.

"Wow she is amazing!" Coco said as the video ended.

"Yup that's my Lori." Adalyn said, making Coco laugh.

"Do you want to wish her?"

"Yeah mum told me to wait for 30 minutes. She probably has to change and stuff. It's been some time since mum told me this, so I'll call her within some time." Adalyn explained as Coco nodded. A silence fell over them.

"Ruel sort of saved us today." Coco stated.

"Yeah he did." Adalyn said. "But I think I'll sort of like mentally prepare myself now for when the secret will be out."

"Yeah, because keeping something big as this a secret won't be successful."

"True. What do you want to do today?"

"I have no idea." Coco said as she plopped on the bed. "I think I wanna stay inside only."

"Okay." Adalyn said as she plopped down with her.

"Wait, we didn't finish The Vampire Diaries, or did we?" Coco asked as she turned around on her side.

"No we didn't."

"Oh my god! Let's finish that!" Coco said enthusiastically as she sat down properly.

"Okay." Adalyn picked up her laptop and opened Netflix. She resumed the show from where they had left.

_______________[Time skip]_______________

Current time: 2.45 pm

"The Vampire Diaries is superior. Fight me." Coco stated it as a universally true fact.

"Preach." Adalyn said.

"Addie oh my god it's 2.45! Come on we have to change!" Coco said hurriedly as she saw that it was a little late to their liking. They had to be down within 15 minutes.

"Oh my god!" Adalyn quickly picked up her chosen clothes and went in the washroom to change. After two minutes she came out and then Coco went to change. Both of them put on jackets and shoes and picked up their required things. Within five minutes they were out of their room and were in the elevator to reach downstairs.

As the elevator's doors opened, Adalyn and Coco saw that everyone was there and were walking out to the van. With the thought that the team will leave without them, Adalyn and Coco ran to them and kept on screaming, "we're here, don't leave us!"

Ruel turned around to see his sister and his hopefully future girlfriend running and screaming like crazy. He couldn't help but laugh at them.

"We aren't leaving you. We are just keeping our stuff in the van." He said between laughs.

"Ohhhh." Adalyn and Coco said together as they reached the group. Both of them sat down on chairs for a minute to catch their breathes.

"I'm not the- athletic type- at all." Adalyn said between pants.

"It's alright. Sit down for a minute or so, then we can leave." Ruel smiled. She returned the smile.

"Give me your camera bag. I'll keep it in the car." Ruel said further. He let his hand out and Adalyn handed him her bag. He went out to the van to keep it.

"Girls come on let's go." Michelle said.

"Okay." Both of them said. They got up and went out to the van waiting for them. They all sat inside and were pretty soon on their way for Ruel's second concert in a different venue than the first one.

Ruel, like always was blasting music in the car.

"Adalyn." Adalyn turned around to see that Nate was calling her.

"Yes Nate?" She asked.

"I'm sorry but we can't have the same incidents happening as the last time this time during sound check. So you will have to sit in the green room only."

"Oh, okay." She said as she turned to sit in her initial position. The events of that day clouded her mind.

"Cause you're my painkiller
When my brain gets bitter
You keep me close
When I've been miserable"

Ruel began singing Painkiller, and this being one of Adalyn's favorite songs, she began dancing and grooving to it with Coco. Ruel got off the stage and walked up to Adalyn, while singing the song. He took Adalyn by her hand and brought her on the stage and twirled her there.

Both of them were having so much fun, they had no idea that they were prohibited from doing anything like that.

"Ruel! Adalyn!" A scream snapped them out of their fantasies. They turned around to see Nate with an angry expression on his face. The music had stopped playing and Chelsea had stopped singing but they both had no idea.

"Adalyn come down please and sit in the green room with Michelle. Ruel, continue your singing." Nate said as Adalyn came down from the stage and walked to the green room with Michelle. As she was making her way out, she heard the music continue and Ruel's sweet voice filling the room.

Adalyn turned back around to look at Nate.

"Okay." She said with a small smile. He gave her a similiar one. She turned back around and continued with her conversation with Michelle.

"We've reached!" Chelsea said. Everyone got out and went inside the venue. It was beautiful. The hall where Ruel had to perform was extremely large. Everyone went to the green room and kept their things. Ruel, Beau, Jack and Chelsea went out for sound check. As Nate had asked her to, Adalyn stayed in the green room with Michelle. Coco offered to keep her company too, so the three were sitting on a couch and were chatting.

"You know Michelle," Coco said in between their argument about whether water is wet or not, "Adalyn will be coming to Sydney after the internship."

"Really?!" Michelle exclaimed.

"I mean, it's not sure, but me and my mum would love to visit Sydney." Adalyn explained.

"That's great. There's an amazing college for fine arts in Sydney. So, after school you can pursue photography from there. Your best friend Lorelai can pursue dance from there." Michelle said.

"Wow really?! That would be amazing. Since we were little, me and Lorelai always dreamed of being roommates." Adalyn laughed.

"That's cute." Coco laughed along.

"Yeah and probably with this offer, that dream can certainly become true." Adalyn continued. "Me and Lorelai never really searched about future colleges and stuff, but I think a fine arts college in Sydney is a great offer."

"Yup. You can definitely consider it." Michelle said.

"Yes I would." Adalyn smiled.

The door opened and everyone who was out for the sound check came in.

"Concert's within half an hour guys. Go and change to your show outfits please." Nate ushered everyone. Ruel and his team quickly changed and got their make up done. Soon, it was 5.00 pm and all of them were on their way to the hall.
