"Uggghh I have literally forgotten about Olivia and you're bringing her up again!" Ruel said angrily.

"Ruel please list-" Nate startes, but he got cut off.

"No Nate. I need some time alone. Please leave or I am leaving." Ruel said.

"Okay Ruel. Take all the time you need right now. Me and Michelle will leave." Nate said calmly as Michelle nodded along.

Nate and Michelle went outside and Ruel plopped on the couch, laying down on his back, his face facing the ceiling. His anger started to cool off and he closed his eyes which sent him to a flashback.

October 2019, during the 'Free Time World Tour'

"So everyone welcome Olivia!" Chelsea, Ruel's back up singer and vocal coach said out loud. A pretty girl, with medium length golden hair, blue eyes and freckles all over her nose and cheeks came in. Everyone stared in awe at her; she was so pretty. Everyone slowly got up from their positions and went to talk to the new girl to make her comfortable.

"So has the new girl co-" Ruel said as he came in from the room he was sitting in earlier.

"Oh my god." He let out, before he could finish his sentence.

He walked over to Olivia to introduce himself.

"Hi I'm Ruel." He said, while putting out his hand to shake, with a pink blush coating his face.

"Hi I'm Olivia." The girl said while shaking his hand with a similiar blush on her face.

"So you're my back up singer for my leftover world tour?" Ruel asked, trying to make conversation.

"I'm just interning under Chelsea and it includes being your back up singer for your tour, so yeah that's me." Olivia said.

The pink tint in both of their cheeks won't show any sign to leave. It only got darker and darker as they talked more.

"So, will you like to practice for your first show tomorrow?" Ruel suggested.

"Yeah okay." Olivia smiled.

"Okay follow me." Ruel said as he led Olivia out of the room to the room where he practiced. The whole team was smiling and laughing at the two teens.

After 2 weeks of Olivia being Ruel's back up singer:

"Olivia I- I-" Ruel stuttered, but having trouble saying what he wanted to.

"Yeah Ruel?" Olivia comforted him by holding his hand and encouraging him to speak.

They were at a different part of a beach, away from all the people, just Ruel and Olivia.

"Olivia I think I like you." Ruel said with hopefulness in his eyes.

Suddenly Olivia's eyes brightened with happiness.

"Ruel I think I like you too." Olivia let out, barely above a whisper.

Ruel smiled and slowly bent in, Olivia doing the same. Their lips met for a short but sweet kiss. Ruel pulled back and rested his forehead against Olivia's; both of them blushing and grinning like crazy.

"So, will you be my girlfriend?" Ruel asked.

"Yes Ruel." Olivia smiled, as she bent in for another kiss.

After 4 weeks of dating, but keeping it a secret from the public:

"Olivia did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong? Please tell me, love." Ruel said who was on the verge of crying. His eyes had started to well up with tears.

"No Ruel you didn't do or say anything at all. In fact, it isn't you at all." Olivia said who was almost about to cry too.

"Then why are you breaking up with me? Please Olivia, give us another chance, it's only been one month. You said our love is forever." Ruel said, his voice breaking as tears trickled down his face.

"Ruel I am telling you, it's not you, it's me. This can't work out." Olivia said whose voice is also cracking.

"Atleast tell me why you are leaving. I want to end on good terms." Ruel cried out.

"Not every ending is a happy ending Ruel."

Hearing this, Ruel began to cry even more.

"I love you Ruel, but I gotta leave." Olivia said.

And with that, she left.

Ruel wasn't the same for atleast a whole month after Olivia unexpectedly left him. He went into depression, which affected him a lot. His health deteriorated and he wasn't able to focus on his music at all. He felt like shutting himself from the whole world. He tried calling, texting, even sending DMs to Olivia but nothing seemed to work. He sent her voice-mails asking about why they had such an abrupt ending but she never replied back. His family, friends and team mates all started to worry about him. They'd comfort him in all ways possible, but nothing would seem to work. Only one thought ran throughout Ruel's head all the time:

He fell too hard, too fast.

After a month of all of this, Ruel finally got better. He got over Olivia and their sudden ending. He began touring, getting out of his house and meeting friends and family. His health got better and everyone around him got happy that he finally became normal. He began cracking jokes and became the crackhead he was. He stopped contacting Olivia. All he knows about her now is that she has another boyfriend from the pictures she posted on her socials. But it doesn't bother him as he is over her now.

After snapping out of the daydream, Ruel got up and went outside where he assumed Nate and Michelle are. He stood corrected. But this time, not only Nate and Michelle were there, Beau along with Chelsea were standing with them.
They were standing silently and as they saw Ruel they gave him sympathetic looks. Chelsea went forward to hug him which Ruel accepted.

As they both pulled away, Nate spoke up.

"So Ruel, we decided that Adalyn, the girl with the breathtaking picture, is the winner. But you gotta promise-"

"No feelings, promise. But we can be friends right?" Ruel questioned.

"Of course you can." Beau spoke up.

"And Ruel me and Nate are extremely sorry for what we did. We have a lot of faith in you, but we also care about you. We don't want you stumbling down the same road, that's why we did that. But I know this time you'll be careful." Michelle apologized as Nate nodded along with her.

"It's okay both of you. You did what you thought was right. I don't blame you." Ruel smiled.

Everyone got together for a group hug as they exchanged smiles and laughs. Ruel was normal now, and all were extremely happy about it.

But will Ruel keep his promise?
