Robin Buckley

Eliza Dushku as Jocelyn "Joss" Garett // Stranger Things. Season Three through Five. Robin Buckley as Love Interest. Plot Available.

Jocelyn Garett was the kind of girl parents would ban their children from even looking at. It wasn't that she was rude or anything, it's just that since it's a small town, news spreads . . . quickly.

Everyone knows everything about everyone.

They knew her family situation. That she came from foster care and moved around all her life, until she landed in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. They knew more than she'd like them to. Joss wanted to hide behind the strong forcade she's built herself, throwing all her trauma and feelings into the pit she felt she crawled from. Rumors spread. No, she'd never been to juvie- close, though. She never set anything on fire, never killed anybody. She certainly wasn't crazy, either. She had stories to tell, but she never was one to lie.

She did get into some trouble for theft though. Since being a runaway, she used her invisibility to her finest. No one seemed to care about just another nothing of a teenager. But apparently a lady at a drug store did. So after getting caught stealing a pack of cigarettes and a couple of candy bars, Joss was due to get into trouble. But since it being her first time getting caught, she only had to do some time helping out with different business that needed it. She wasn't getting payed, of course, which only made her roll her eyes more.

Jocelyn Garrett really wasn't a bad person, she was just made out to be that way. She was sweet with a steel heart. She fought for what she believed in, and was never scared to hide the fact. She saw things for what they were, and spoke on it . . . A similarity she'd find herself having with a short haired freckles girl she'd draw in her notebook. She learned how to take care of herself, even if that meant stealing. After getting into reported trouble, it was declared she had to do weeks of community service- and what better way to do that than to scoop ice cream.

Working at an ice cream parlor while having to wear a ridiculous outfit that she thought only her freckled 'coworker' pulled off, wasn't how she wanted to spend her summer.

Oh, how her steel heart beat against its cage while staring at the Buckley girl. Only Steve seemed to notice, while Robin herself rather stuck to her overthinking daydreams instead of reality. Jocelyn wanted to shut her up in the best ways possible, at times- but she never did. She listened to every rant Robin had, to every word, thus only adding to Joss's reasons for lingering stares and a thumping heart.

For the summer, Jocelyn wanted to watch trash movies with her window open as she smokes weed from a local dealer, Eddie Munson. She wanted to go to the towns drive in and take dips in her backyard pool, a plus to having to deal with her strict foster family.

They cared for her, they truly did, as if she was their own- that was the problem. Only building to her already pile of emotions and rejection, Joss couldn't see herself with a happy ending. A family at her fingertips, a best friend in her coworker with puppy dog eyes and stuck in his mind of his future, and a crush on the girl she naturally flirts with as their hands brush against the others at their boring summer job.
