At the sheriff station cops are everywhere Sidney sits at a desk drinking a cup of water with Blair beside her sipping on some hot chocolate one of the officers got her. Sidney wearing the Sheriff's jacket over her shoulders as Blair wears her brothers.
"Blair I truly do not know how you got all of the officers wrapped around your finger. They like you more than me," Dewey exclaims making Blair chuckle at him.
"It's not that hard to get someone to like someone more than they like you," Tatum tells her brother who glares at her while Tatum smirks at him and Blair laughs.
Dewey then approaches squeezing his sister's shoulders who jumps making him look at her worriedly.
"Did you reach my Dad?" Sidney asks Dewey who looks towards her before sitting down at his desk.
"You're sure it was the Hilton?" Dewey asks Sidney who nods her head.
"At the airport," Sidney tells him making Dewey sigh as he looks at his computer.
"He's not registered. Could he have gone to another hotel?" Dewey asks Sidney who looks defeated at that.
"I don't know. I guess," Sidney tells him softly.
"We'll find him, Sid. Don't worry," Dewey tells her as Sidney stares blankly, numb even.
Blair rubs her knuckles before looking over towards the sheriff's office and seeing Billy sitting opposite of Sheriff Burke with his father Hank Loomis beside him.
Billy glares slightly seeing his dad. He was the reason everything fell apart.Β
"Dewey what's Billy doing here?" Blair asks her brother confused making him look towards her as Sidney tense up.
"What?" Blair asks making Dewey sigh as he begins to explain everything.
"Well this is not going to be good," Randy mutters as he begins eating some popcorn.
"What are you doing with a cellular telephone, son?" Sheriff Burke asks Billy but before he could answer his father does.
"It's my phone. He was just playing around with it," Hank Loomis tells the sheriff.
"You got some ideas of playing around, boy," Sheriff Burke says looking at Billy.
"I didn't call anyone with it. I just took it for fun," Billy tells the sheriff who stares at him.
Blair slaps Billy over the head with a pointed look making him smile sheepishly at her as she rolls her eyes at him.
"Everybody's got one now. Why don't you check the phone bill for chrissakes? Call my carrier--AirFone Comp. They'll have records of every number dialed," Hank tells the sheriff.
"Thank you, Hank. We're on it. What were you doing out at Sidney's tonight?" Sheriff Burke asks him.
"I just wanted to see her, that's all. And I saw Blair's car and wanted to check up on her. She seemed shaken up earlier," Billy tells Sheriff Burke.
Stu looks towards Billy who was rubbing Blair's knuckles saying nothing, but Stu already knew. He had no idea Blair was there until she answered the phone.
"You rode your bike out there?" Sheriff Burke asks Billy.
"Yes, sir," Billy answers him.
"And last night? Blair said you were with her and Stu Macher," Sheriff Burke says making Hank look at his son surprised.
"You were out last night?" Hank asks his son making the sheriff look between the two.
Billy rolls his eyes at his father making Blair lay her head on his shoulder as she places their intertwined hand in her lap playing with his fingers.
"I watched TV for a while but then I felt like going for a bike ride. I already knew Blair would be a Stu's tonight. We watched movies," Billy says shrugging his shoulders as Hank nods his head. It was nothing new seeing his son with Blair and Stu or seeing the two at his house.
"Did you ride past Casey Becker's house?" Sheriff Burke asks Billy who shakes his head leaning closer.
"No, I didn't. I didn't kill anyone, Sheriff," Billy tells the sheriff who eyed.
"We're gonna have to keep you, Billy. The governor's got SBI, FBI, and goodness knows who else on their way down here," Sheriff Burke tells him as Billy fights tears.
"This is crazy. I didn't do it," Billy tells him earnestly making Sheriff Burke eyes him up and down, very carefully.
"I know you didn't," Blair whispers to Billy making him smile down at her but it wasn't as bright as it usually was. Stu looks towards Blair and both had a bit of guilt in their eyes seeing the girl.
Not noticing the four teenagers eyeing them closely seeing the look in their eyes.
"They would've," Hayden whispered to them making Stuart look at her confused.
"Would've what?" Stuart asks her confused.
"Changed for her. They would've changed for her if they had the chance," Hayden tells Stuart who looks back at the three with a sigh.
"Yeah they would've," Sam says softly shaking her head.
Before Sheriff Burke could say anything else the door is thrown up and Blair stands there with tears in her eyes.
"Blair you are not allowed in there," Dewey tells his sister making her look at him with a tilt of her head.
"My best friend is about to be charged with murder so I'm going to be in there," Blair tells her brother who sighs at her shaking his head.
"Yeah...best friend," Tatum mutters rolling her eyes at her sister's words.
"Billy," Blair whispers breathlessly making him immediately stand up and rush towards her bringing the girl into a tight hug as she clings to him.
"Are you okay?" Billy asks her pulling away as he cups her cheeks looking her over as Blair nods slightly.
"Just a cut on my foot. I'm okay," Blair whispers slightly before hugging Billy again who kisses the top of her head sighing in relief.
Sidney looks at the screen and shakes her head. Was she truly that blind and never noticed?
"Blair I'm sorry but you can't be in here," Sheriff Burke tells her making Blair sigh as she hugs Billy tightly.
"I know it wasn't you," Blair whispers to him making Billy smile at her slightly before pulling away slightly. Sheriff Burke walks up to Blair and escorts her out of the room as she looks at Billy once more with a slight smile on her face.
"There you are. I should have known you did not have to go to the bathroom," Dewey says seeing her making Blair just look at him and nod saying again as she heads towards Tatum who wraps an arm around her.
Dewey sighs seeing his sister like this and he hoped. He hoped with everything in him that Billy did not kill anyone because he truly did not know if Blair would ever be able to move past it.
Blair watches as the sheriff's door opens and Billy is
led out by a couple of officers as Burke and Dewey appear in the door watching Tatum comfort Sidney and Blair the two talking out of earshot.
"That ghost mask is sold at both Kroger's and WalMart. Neither of which keep purchase records," Dewey tells the sheriff looking towards his sister worriedly.
"What about the cellular phone bill?" Sheriff Burke asks him.
"They're pulling Loomis' account. But it'll be morning before we see something. You think he did it?" Dewey asks the man with a slight bit of hope in his voice that he would say no.
"If the killer is smart of course they will buy the mask with cash and somewhere that doesn't keep records. Oh, and the killer definitely would not use his own phone to call someone they were about to kill," Randy says as if it was common sense rolling his eyes.
"Which is Randy's way of saying it couldn't be Billy. He doesn't think that far ahead," Tatum says insulting both boys at once.
"Twenty years ago I woulda said not a chance. But these kids today...damn if I know," Sheriff Burke tells him as Tatum turns to her brother.
"Hey...Dewey. Can we go now?" Tatum asks her brother with a pointed look.
"Hold up a sec...," Dewey tells Tatum who looks at him annoyed.
"You should not have said that," Blair says wincing at the screen knowing how impatient her twin was.
"She staying with you?" Sheriff Burke asks him referring to Sidney.
"We haven't located her Dad yet," Dewey tells the sheriff who nods his head.
"Dammit, Dewey!" Tatum yells fed up with waiting here making Dewey turn to her, his face red.
"What did Mama tell you? When I wear this badge you treat me like a man of the law," Dewey tells his sister who rolls her eyes at him.
Blair and Tatum share a look before laughing making Dewey glare at them before scoffing annoyed.
"I'm sorry, Deputy Dewey-boy but we're ready to go," Tatum tells her brother who glares at her while his coworkers chuckle at him and Blair chuckles slightly at her siblings.
"Use the back way. Avoid the circus," Sheriff Burke tells Dewey who nods pointing for the girls to walk towards them.
At the side door, the door opens and Blair Sidney, Tatum, Dewey, and a couple of officers exit avoiding the horde of reporters that can be seen around the
corner waiting anxiously at the front entrance.
Blair and Sidney shake their heads remembering a year ago when the exact same things happened.
"I'll get the car. Wait here," Dewey tells the girls as he takes off from the darkness of the alley, Gale Weathers
appears with Kenny and his camera the two have been waiting.
"Of course, you are there," Tatum says annoyed at the woman.
"Hello, Blair. Sidney," Gale says making the two girls spin around to see Gale, standing, smiling at them as Blair glares at her full of hatred, and Sidney's body tense.
"Some night. Are you both alright?" Gale asks the girls as their eyes meet in a cold familiar stare. Sidney says nothing and is visibly shaking.
"What happened?" Gale asks the two girls.
"They're not answering any questions. Just leave us alone, okay?" Tatum says glaring at the reporter.
"It's okay, Tatum. She's just doing her job. Right, Gale?" Blair asks with a clearly fake smile on her face and her eyes full of anger.
"Uhm this isn't going to be good," Stu says although smirking as he eats some popcorn.
"Yes, that's right," Gale says as Dewey, in a squad car, turns into the alley and pulls up as the other news people reporters begin to flock to the alley.
"How's the book?" Blair asks her with a glare as Sidney just stares at the reporter.
"It'll be out later this year," Gale tells her with a smile as Sidney tries to contain herself squeezing a clenched fist.
"We'll make sure to look for it," Blair says clearly lying as she stares at the woman.
"I'll send you a copy. Signed," Gale says and that makes Blair snap as she raises her hands in a fist and smashes it hard into Gale's face. The impact sends Gale reeling backward, knocking into Kenny as they both tumble to the pavement.
"Sign that," Blair says with a smile of satisfaction on her face as she turns around to walk away.
"Did you just punch me?!" Gale yells at Blair who shrugs at her.
"It's not like you didn't deserve it Gale," Blair tells her as Gale glares at her.
"Oh, I have never loved you as much as I love you right now!" Tatum says laughing loudly at her twin sister.
"Blair! Tatum!" Dewey exclaims at his sisters who shrug at them.
"I guess teaching to punch was a good idea," Stu tells Blair who laughs at him shrugging as Billy smiles at her.
"Can we rewind that?! That was awesome! Mom why didn't you ever tell us you punched Aunt Gale?!" Stuart yells laughing making Gale Tatum Blair and Sidney immediately turn to him.
"Aunt Gale? What?!" Gale yells as Blair nods.
"Yeah, what?!" Blair yells as Hayden slaps her brother over the head.
"Good going, you idiot!" Hayden yells making Stuart rub his head with a sheepish look on his face.
"Just watch. We really do not want to see Aunt Tatum murdering someone," Hayden says shrugging as Tatum squints her eyes. Something was definitely going to happen that she will not like.
