Eulogy

[ Bonus Chapter ]

♾♾♾

IT HAD BEEN A DAY SINCE VOID WAS TRAPPED AGAIN, SINCE ZELLA DISAPPEARED. Derek was in his loft, in his bed he didn't want to move. Scott, Chris, Stiles and even Peter, tried to get him to open up.

He didn't because that night when he got home after everything had happened he found a letter on his table saying with big letters on the front 'FOR DEREK'.

He opened it up and that was all it took for him to let the tears start again.

It was from Zella, she had written it to him before going into battle before creating her Shadow Warriors, she knew she couldn't tell him. She didn't want to see his face when she did, so she wrote a letter to him. So he could read it when everything was over. [ This is what she tried to tell him before she died.]

It read:

Dear Derek or Sourwolf if you will,

If you're reading this then that means I'm gone. And I know I should've told you but I couldn't. I didn't want to see that pain in your eyes even though I still might. I remember when I first met you and I was like wow this man hardly smiles and I knew why, I just thought you would actually smile more. But then I got to know you and I saw you smile and it was one of the best smiles I'd ever seen even though I had only been on the Earth for a matter of days, but still you have the best smile I'd ever seen.

You made me soften up down here, when I came I originally planned to be stone cold, but then magically I started hanging around you and I don't even know how it happened but we sort of clicked. We started hanging out everyday and probably were annoyed with me at first because I know I got through your walls that you had built up because the same thing happened to me with you.

I'd never had a friend. The ancestors didn't want me to make friends, but you weaseled your way in and you became my best friend. And made me feel happy, emotions weren't really my thing but you brought them out and I curse for that because now you're making me feel sad for leaving you. And I don't want to leave you but I have to, because Void is my mission and it ends with him.

So tonight will be my last, and I'm okay. We're okay. We never really had that talk after my disappearance when we went up against Void together, and I want to say I'm sorry for not talking to you after.

And I know you forgave me because you always do. You never let anybody know but you do.

Please don't go back into being stone cold Derek, your pack needs you. The people of Beacon Hills need you to stay strong. Please just do that for me.

You know we're endgame in a platonic way.

I love you Sourwolf, I love you Derek Hale and please be happy. If not for you then please do for me.

Sincerely, the greatest smartass

Zella <3

That was the letter Derek read last night and after that he didn't talk to anyone.

He was currently on the right side of his bed when he looked over to the left and remembered a specific conversation he had with Zella.

[ Flashback ]

Jumping in his bed, Zella turned to him.

"The guilt you carry, you need to let it go"

"What?" Derek questioned.

"Just listen okay," Zella asked.

"It started from the age of 15 with you after she died in your arms, you thought it was your fault but it wasn't. I can guarantee you that you gave her the most exciting life ever in those few months that she ever had. She died with love in her heart that night and she never blamed you. Then your family dying in the fire, it wasn't your fault either. How were you, a 16 year old kid supposed to know that she was a hunter. You weren't supposed to and that was also not your fault. Same with Erica and Boyd, they were not your fault.

I know you put on this tough facade, but underneath you are a bundle of feelings just like everyone else. The hand dealt should have not been given to you. And I don't know how you picked up the pieces to move on but you did and for that I applaud you for. Because Derek, no matter how much guilt you feel today you need to let it go, because it's not your fault."

Turning to look him in the eye, "Just know none of that is your fault." Zella said, and Derek just nodded.

On the inside, nobody ever really knew how Derek felt; nobody knew the monsters he dealt with on the inside day to day, night to night. But she did, she understood him, almost too well.

[ Flashback over ]

After remembering that Derek got out of the bed to get away from the memory. So he moved to the living room and was bombarded with another.

[ Flashback ]

Zella walked over to Derek's radio and turned it on and 'Scream & Shout' playing in the loft, she turned it up to wake the sleeping wolf.

Hearing commotion coming from his room, Zella saw Derek enter the living room.

"Turn it down," he demanded.

"Sorry what can't hear you," Zella said, turning up the radio.

Yelling Derek said, "TURN IT DOWN!"

"No," was all Zella said.

"What do you mean, no?" Derek asked, as he saw Zella turning the radio down a bit.

"I want to do what humans do to this stuff, which is dancing and you're dancing with me." Zella said, as she started vibing to the music.

Derek just stood still with his everyday brooding expression on his face.

"Come onnnn, Derek dance for me, your friend, come on you know you want to. Dance!" Zella begged.

Thinking about it for a minute, Derek moved a little bit swaying side to side.

Turning up the music louder, Zella started jumping around.

Derek, feeling a bit happier than before, started jumping with her.

Then all that was heard around the loft was laughter as the two danced around the loft.

Zella got Derek out of his comfort shell, and for that he was happy because he had finally had fun.

And days continued where the two would have dance sessions in the loft, then end up laughing at each other for their silly dance moves.

[ Flashback Over ]

Derek growled as he was bombarded with another memory. He just wanted to be left alone, but of course that wasn't going to happen.

Hunters entered the loft looking for La Loba, but he told them that he wasn't going to give up his sister Cora.

They had no clue who Cora was, but all of a sudden tear gas was thrown into Derek's loft and the hunters were taken down.

Coming out of the fog a shot rang out in the loft, leaving Derek wounded in his chest. Then she came in, he thought he would never see her again. She had died, so why is she standing right in front of him?

Kate Argent stood right in front of Derek, alive and well but not only that she was supernatural.

In the woods, a woman woke up.

In the same position she was in before except she had on different clothes, it looked like dried blood was on them, but there was no wound.

The last thing she remembered was being smothered in dark clouds, taking a hike through the woods.

She knew it would happen eventually she just didn't know when, she knew about her future as being a harbinger for entities, so why didn't she remember a thing.

She got off the ground dusting herself off and walked to her house that was in the woods just a little further up. Her house on the inside looked different but yet the same.

Isabella, checked the date on her phone and noticed 2 months had passed.

So why didn't she remember.
