It was quiet for about two seconds before a man drew his taser. Elaila knocked it out of his hand and threw a punch to his face. A crack could be heard and he slumped to the floor while Elaila turned to face another agent.
Steve was grabbed by several agents as Rumlow his the emergency stop button. She didn't have time to try and stop them before someone grabbed her from behind.
She flipped them over her back, onto another guy, who groaned at the sudden weight.
She kicked a guy in the stomach, sending him stumbling backwards before she took one of the knives strapped to her leg and stabbed him in the shoulder. Sure, she's playing dirty but they were going too as well. She saw Steve's hand had been stuck to the wall of the elevator by a magnetic shackle.
Elaila brought one of the men to his knees with her powers, giving Steve the chance to kick one of the others and elbow another. She got ahold of a taser from before and tasered a guy in a suit. He spasmed and fell to the ground.
Steve was still in a headlock but had broken free of the magnetic device. Not for long though. Turns out they had two and now his other hand was stuck to the wall.
Elaila grabbed Steve shield from the ground and hit one of the three remainders in the head. He fell to the ground, joining the rest of his team.
Now, there were only two remaining. Rumlow and some other agent she hadn't seen before.
Rumlow went for Steve and the man went for Elaila. These men were amateur. She dodged his grab for her and stepped behind him. Elaila grabbed his head and slammed it into the hand railing.
"Elaila!" Steve yelled. She turned and saw his hand still stuck to the wall. Elaila focused and the magnetic force deactivated, setting him free.
One of the guys stood up, looking for another beating. Steve kicked him in the head and he fell to the floor.
They both turned to face Rumlow. He stood shaking, holding two tasers. "Woah, there." He put out his hand. "I just want you to know... this isn't personal!"
He lunged forward and stuck the taser into Elaila's side. Steve grabbed his arm and he stuck the other one into Steve. Elaila punched him and Steve threw him at the roof. He fell onto the floor, face down.
They both stood there, panting. "It kinda feels personal." Steve said, angrily.
He grabbed his shield and looked at the people on the floor. Elaila pressed the emergency stop button and the elevator started moving again.
The doors opened to reveal guards with their guns raised. "Drop the shield and put your hands in the air!"
Steve didn't drop the shield, he used it to cut the wires, sending the elevator plummeting down. "Steve!" Elaila yelled. He grabbed her and pushed them both down.
The elevator jolted and stopped. "Open the doors." Steve said. Elaila put her hands out and the doors forced open. Guards were running at the entrance.
"No- close the doors!" He yelled. Elaila grunted and closed them. He looked out the window, down onto the ground.
"Give it up! Get the doors open!" One of the S.T.R.I.K.E agents yelled.
"Steve." Elaila warned.
"We're gonna have to jump."
"No way in hell!" She responded.
"No choice! Where else can we go?" Steve replied, grabbing her and jumping out the window, making glass go everywhere.
They smashed through the roof of the building below and onto the ground, Steve's shield blocking what would've been a fatal fall.
Elaila groaned and stood up, Steve following. "Come on!" He yelled and they started running for the garage. They quickly turned on their motorbikes and raced for the bridge that was closing.
Barely making it, Elaila's telekinetic abilities coming in handy, they tore down the road as a quinjet sounded above them, coming to a stop infront.
"Stand down, Captain Rogers, Agent Dare. Stand down." Guns pointed at them threateningly. "Repeat, stand down."
"Oh, enough with the Agent!" Elaila growled, speeding up.
When they didn't stand down, the jet started shooting at them. They dodged, zigzagging out of the way. Elaila tapped into her abilities once again, disabling the weapon.
Steve threw his shield at one of the quinjet's engines, sending it toppling to the side. Steve jumped off his bike and onto the top of the jet. Elaila didn't see what he did next, too busy with deactivating the spikes on the road.
They didn't move, but unfortunately still there. With the speed she was driving, she was coming close to them. Elaila jumped from her motorbike and across the spikes, falling into a tuck-and-roll, before standing up again as the quinjet spiralled to the ground.
Steve nodded at Elaila from beside her and they both took off running yet again.

Elaila was now out of her suit and in black pants, shirt and leather jacket with boots. Steve looked suspicious as ever in colourful trainers, which were way too loose, tracksuit pants and a dark hoodie on.
They were walking through one of the hospital hallways. "Tell me again, why a vending machine in a public place, behind probably one of the most popular candies in said machine?" Elaila asked, keeping her voice low, and eyes ahead.
"I don't know, now shut up, because you're making me doubt myself." Steve spoke thought gritted teeth.
"You should be doubting yourself. It was a stupid-ass decision."
"You're starting to annoy me." Steve frowned.
"Good!" Elaila retaliated. "I wish Nat were here." She groaned.
They came to a stop infront of the vending machine to find the USB gone. "Would you look at that." Elaila said, eyebrows raised. "It's gone."
Natasha came into view in the glass of the vending machine. Steve turned, surprised.
"Hey," Elaila greeted her. "I was just talking about you."
Natasha took her eyes off of Elaila and looked to Steve. He grabbed her and shoved her into the nearest room. Elaila rolled her eyes and followed them into the room. Steve had Nat pressed up against a wall.
"Want me to give you some privacy?" She deadpanned, eyeing them.
"Where is it?" Steve demanded, ignoring her comment.
"Safe." Was all Natasha replied with.
"Do better."
"Where did you get it?" She asked, angry.
"Why would I tell you?" Steve questioned.
"Fury gave it to him." Elaila spoke, leaning against the wall opposite them.
They both looked at her. Nat smirked and looked back to the man but Steve didn't look happy. He turned back to her as she asked, "Why?"
"What's on it?" Steve asked.
"I don't know." Nat said, truthfully.
"Stop lying!" He hissed.
"She's not." Elaila said. "She only acts like the knows everything." She walked towards them and pulled Steve off of her.
"She's right, Rogers."
"I bet you knew Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?"
Steve asked, as he got shoved back by Elaila.
Nat glanced at her. "Well, it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you."
Steve shoved Elaila to the side and grabbed Nat by her jacket. "I'm not gonna ask you again."
Nat stared at him, "I know who killed Fury."
Well, shit.
Steve let go of her as she started speaking. "Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists. The ones that do call him the Winter Soldier."
