KAMARIA WOODS
JANUARY 6th, 2008.
SUNDAY 9:08 am
KAMARIA LAID ASLEEP in her full sized bed peacefully. She had finally been able to slip into a deep somber after taking a shower for over an hour and sleeping medication.
Her bedroom door was locked, and her radio was sitting on her desk playing music it from it to drown out the knocks and voices on the other side.
She wanted them to leave her alone. She had assured them she was okay, but she didn't even believe herself when she said it so she knew they didn't. According to them they knew her better than she did her own self.
The last time something like this happened it took months to break down and tell the truth and they hoped this time it would be different because it needed to be addressed now, rather than later.
Fortunately, kamaria let kyree in her room, and he was asleep on a pallet in her bedroom on the floor sound asleep just like she was in her bed.
She hadn't spoke a word besides the phrase "I'm fine" but Simone suggested that they just give her a little time to relax and calm down for another attempt.
So Kyaire was currently pacing the living room like he had been doing for a hour, unable to sit down. He was extremely tired only getting a hour of sleep, but his adrenaline was pumping.
Simone on the other hand took the initiative to call Dexter to see what was going on and his narrative but he was just as confused. So she started digging in him, going in and cursing him out, confused on how he was okay with a stranger being there with them and let this happen on his watch.
He claimed he didn't know that he knew kamaria, or anything but that didn't make her feel any better, if not worse. It was clear what had happened it just hadn't been confirmed.
Once Dexter told them what zion claimed Simone started going in on him even more because that sounded nothing like her baby. Ex or not.
As much as she wanted to come to his defense, bianca couldn't. She watched that girl break down like never before. She looked scared and terrified . She just couldn't see it going down like that.
Sarai was positive it happened, and it made sense to her since she probably felt like she needed to prove a point that she could get him back but she couldn't.
It was just a mess.
On the other hand, Samirs heart was pounding and his adrenaline was pumping as he stood out side of the house. He was trying to calm down for the sake of her which was why he hadn't entered in yet, but his bestfriend called giving him brief details.
He couldn't get over there fast enough, but now that he was there he wondered how he wanted to go about things.
Saying fuck it, he ripped the screen off her window and lifted it up. He knew she would have her door locked and he didn't care. When there was a will there was a way.
He easily slid through the window and looked as she laid there peacefully. You wouldn't even be able to tell she had any type of trauma.
After her closed the window and locked it, he slipped his shoes off carefully trying not to startle her.
Biting down on his bottom lip, kamaria felt a arm slither around her waist, and she gasped jumping up. "Shhh, it's okay." He promised her softly. The sound of his voice made her relax.
He didn't even know he had been the first to touch her all day. Turning her body she came face to face with him, her eyes stinging with tears like everything came back to her.
"You was supposed to be there." She mumbled with a tear slipping from her eye looking at him.
He nodded to lighten the mood, which worked as best as it could. Even though what she said had no logic considering she was miles away from him in a different state, and he wasn't there, he didn't fight her on it. That was how she felt at the moment.
"I know, baby." He rubbed her back. He licked his lips, "but you gotta tell me what happened okay. Was it zion?" He questioned her while she cried.
It was weird knowing he was on the phone with her less than a hour before it happened. The way a persons life could turn around just that fast. Like him, in a sense.
She didn't say anything which he expected, so he decided to sit that subject to the side to revisit later. "Wanna see something?" He questioned.
Saying nothing, with glossy eyes she nodded her head. Clearing his throat he shifted in the bed, lifting his shirt up, to show the lower part of his stomach came in view followed by the word Tayta in cursive. "Shit now we twins and shit."
Her mouth was hanging open, because him getting that was different then her getting it because it was her nickname. For him that was a whole different person he had gotten tatted.
"Samir you—you can't do that we only been together for a little bit!" She exclaimed loudly unintentionally, as she lifted her head off of him. He licked his lips keeping a calm look on his face.
There was nothing she could say to make him regret it. It was a impulsive decision, but he didn't regret it.
"Okay." Was all he said, as if she had stated a fact, which in hindsight she did. She never stated a point in her sentence.
"Why did you do that," she whispered trying not to smile, because she was seriously curious. She was gone for one day and he had done this.
"I lost a bet against kyree. He dared me to get it, and shit it ain't that bad." He shrugged propping himself on his elbows so he was sitting up better.
"What if we break up though?"
Even though it had felt like they had been together for months, it had only been about two weeks so it was way too soon.
"We never breaking up watchu mean?" He questioned her dumbfounded. That wasn't even an option, and he hadn't even though about that.
"Boy, you know what I fucking meant. That is permanent, and hypothetically what if we break up and you get a new girlfriend. What if she ain't comfortable with that." She gestured to the tattoo.
He jerked his head back, "well hypothetically if I got a new girlfriend ha ass would have to fuckin' deal wit it, cause no matter if we break up or not you gone always be in my life."
" I know people who got people tatted they don't even know in real life. And it don't matter if we been together two weeks or two fucking hours, mufucka you mine." He declared.
"You ain't shit. I feel bad for yo hypothetical future girlfriend." She shook her head pecking his lips, smiling.
"Fuck the bitch, she ain't real." He muttered waving her off. "Give me another one." He requested looking up into her eyes.
She blushed leaning down to give him another one, finally laying her head on his chest. "Check it though mama, I know that shit wit me took a few months for you to get comfortable to talk about, but imma need you to speed it up fa daddy." He said, and it baffled her because he was completely serious.
"Really nigga? I thought you loved me that's how you gone talk to me?" She furrowed her eyebrows quickly lifting her head off his chest. "How you know I'm not traumatized." She frowned.
"That's why you gotta tell me, you got ten seconds to start. Five, four, three—nigga how you go from ten to five?" She cut him off astonished.
She couldn't believe him right now.
"What you mean it took me like five seconds to finish the ending of the sentence!" He bucked his eyes at her, in attempt to keep her at better spirits while getting the information out of her.
"No it didn't." She nudged his head away with her manicured fingers.
"Yes huh, now you got five seconds. One... and zero. Get to talkin." He skipped numbers once again, and this time she bursted into laughter throwing her head back, prompting him to chuckle.
"Why are you acting like this." She smiled. He didn't realize he had already took her mind off of the attempt of her being took advantage off. That was the type of power he held.
"Cause. Ion like seein you cry unless it's cause my dick touching yo heart or somethin' and —" she covered his mouth not daring to let him finish that sentence.
"How could it possibly be more to that statement." She gave him a stoic expression making him smirk while she removed her hand.
"For real, I'm through playing kamaria." He pulled her to straddle in lap and he laid on down her comfortable bed that his feet were hanging off of.
She sighed, as if she was having flashbacks which made him stay quiet to get her thoughts in order.
"When we hung up on the phone, I had went to sleep." She started and he rested his hands on her hips, "and I thought I was having a wet dream or something," she cringed , and his jaw clenched.
The thought of somebody else having access too her body before, during or even after them had him boiling.
"I was really imagining yo ass but you know," she smirked but he kept a straight face making her slouch, "oh so you can joke but I can't. Fake."
"Keep it up kamaria, imma fuck you up." He warned her.
"Alright. So when my eyes opened I gasped and he covered my mouth. He told me he was sorry about what happened with Sarai and that he was trying to apologize to make it up to me or something. I was trying to stay calm though."
"So um...when he started trynna slide his tip in—skip that part." His eyes widened as if she was crazy, and he was about to have a heart attack.
"Sorry. He eventually loosened his grip on my wrists so I snatched away before he could put it in and I punched him in the jaw. I ran to get a knife then I woke Kyaire up so we could leave." She gulped.
"I think he was trying to decide if he wanted to leave or get to the bottom of it, but since he took so long zion had a chance to twist the story to my dad, sister and bianca. He lied on me, and he said that I was in his room trynna fuck him and went crazy when he denied me, like I'm some sick ass psycho . Do you know how that makes me look?"
He didn't answer, figuring it was rhetorical. He was just sucking up all the information.
"Then he just started telling everything about how I used to be his girlfriend , and I feel so foolish for not trying to defend myself now because I know how guilty that made me look. But I swear I wouldn't even touch him with a ten foot pole. Especially now, he tried to force himself on me, and showed no remorse about it." She frowned sadly.
He had to close his eyes in order to remain calm for time being. "That's it right? Nothing else you wanna tell me?" He questioned. He became confused when she nodded—then smiled shortly after.
"I love you." She spoke softly making his heart swell. It was stuff like this, that was the reason he didn't even second guess about the tattoo. She had him on cloud nine.
He would have moments when he wondered if they were moving way to fast, but love didn't have a time limit. If you asked him he loved her before they were even official, it was hard to grasp, but it was true.
"Mmmmm," he dragged out grinning pulling her closer to his face, "I love you too, ma. For real." He swore to her, kissing her lips, but he knew they couldn't get far. Kyree was still knocked out on the floor.
"Imma handle it, I promise."
THE NEXT DAY.
Kamaria was sitting criss crossed in her bed room on her bed, with a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch toast in her lap.
The MacBook she received for Christmas was in front of her on the bed, playing a movie she had gotten rented at the Redbox kiosk in Walmart.
She felt like Redbox had been the greatest invention in a while. She didn't get the concept of it until a couple years back, but now it was the best thing ever.
Intrigued with her movie, she began slurping up her cinnamon milk, and it was so good she had to close her eyes and savor it. She wanted a new bowl but she had been feeling lazy all day.
She had been locked in her room all day, and it was the day they were supposed to return back to school from break but they thought it was best to take a few days off.
It was a unanimous vote which meant everyone agreed, including her.
She was still shaken up about the zion thing, and was still a little jumpy as well. She was paranoid at most, and had slept with a knife on her nightstand , only getting around two hours of sleep in fear, but she couldn't lie, she was using it as an advantage.
She wasn't faking of course, but the extra caring treatment she was receiving from her brothers, mother, tameeka, and Samir felt very nice.
As she slurped the remainder, she jumped once her phone began ringing. She looked over, picking it up thinking maybe it was Kourtney since they hadn't spoke since Friday.
"Hello?" She questioned using the back of her hand to wipe her mouth.
"Uh hello, kamaria?" The voice kind of shocked her.
"Hey, is my dad okay?" She questioned bianca.
"Um, honestly, I couldn't tell you if I wanted. I'm sorry it had took me so long to do this, I just wanted to make sure that you got time to calm down." Bianca muttered.
Kamaria furrowed her eyebrows.
"I'm not sure what happened back at the cabin honestly, and I know you probably don't feel comfortable telling me, but I want you to know that I don't believe what that boy said. I could see it in your face." She sighed. "I've told this same thing to your father as well, and he understands me as well."
"I guess I'm just calling to break the news, I've decided to divorce your father." She stated making kamarias jaw drop. "I was wondering if you would be up to me talking you out to lunch anytime soon?" She continued after silence.
"Wh—yeah. That's fine." She blinked rapidly not having the heart to deny her. "Is tomorrow okay?" She questioned and once Bianca said yes and that she would pick her up it got quiet.
"May I ask why you've decided to divorce him?" She had to keep her manners in tact, but she was utterly shocked. They had been married for over fourteen years. She even wondered how Sarai felt.
"I feel so silly saying this, but I just don't feel the sparks anymore. He supports us financially, but marriage is about love, and I just haven't been agreeing with his decisions lately. He needs help, but he refuses to acknowledge it." She felt pathetic for venting to a sixteen year old, and his daughter at that.
Kamaria opened her mouth, and then closed it.
"I understand what you mean..."she trailed off, "how does Sarai feel about it?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Not good." Bianca chuckled even though she didn't find it funny. "Anyways, I'll get off your phone, I'll be there tomorrow at 1. Don't forget."
"Okay, bye." They hung up.
Kamaria couldn't lie and say she wasn't the least big of shocked because she was. She even felt bad because her and bianca never really did create a bond with each other, and now she wouldn't even be associated, where as Sarai would still be around.
Kamaria watched movies for the rest of the day, up until her brothers and Samir arrived from school.
Of course, their first stop was too her room. "You straight in here?" Kyaire stuck his head in the door while Samir looked over him, and kyree ducked his head under his arm.
"Yeah—okay why you ain't tell us that Nigga went to our school." Samir cut her off with a frown once it was confirmed she was alright .
"Wh—I mean I thought it would be obvious. Where else would we have met? Why, he went to school?" She questioned wanting to know what happened.
"If he went to school my ass would be locked up, we just asked around bout his ass." Kyaire looked her stupidly, and she rolled her eyes when Samir nodded in agreement.
"That shit ain't funny, neither one of y'all better not go back. For real." She frowned. She cared more about their freedom than zion, he could choke and die.
"Whateva." Samir waved her off, taking his shoes off by the door.
"I'm finna go to the store what you want." Kyaire looked at her, paying him no mind.
"A blue mystic, hot cheeto puffs, and two Hershey's." She listed watching him lick his lips, the nod.
"Come on ky , you riding wit me." He closed the door while Samir crawled in the bed.
"Let's do that cuddle shit, I kinda like it but don't tell nobody." He muttered kissing her on the lips making her smile.
"I should tell everybody." She held in her laugh.
"Mmcht, get off dat fuck shit." He sighed laying between her legs. "You had a good day?" He questioned making her nod softly whilst she touched his hair.
"Okay tell me bout it."
They ride at dawn I guess 😒
