"Lando, mate," George calls Lando, "can I talk to you?" George stood near the McLaren paddock, near Lando's garage. Lando glances over his shoulder when he heard his name.
"Hey mate," Lando greets, "yeah, sure." Lando swallows as he walks towards his friend. His breath quickens as his heartbeat increases. He felt some tension in his stomach as he walked along.

"Before you say something, I-I can explain," Lando stutters slightly.
     "Then explain," George says calmly. He doesn't look at his friend, still confused about the whole situation.
     "I understand you are mad at me," he starts, "I hadn't the intention to fall in love with her! I hadn't had one intention to steal her from you since I care about you, the both of you."

"But why confess to her?" George asks, crossing his arms over his chest. Lando glances between his friend and anything but his friend.
"Because I had to tell someone!" he says, starting to feel desperate. He didn't want to lose George nor Artemis.
"But why didn't you tell me first?" George continues asking.
"I wasn't in love with you, was I?" Lando fires.
     "Fair point," George reacts, holding up his hands in defence, "fair point."

"It just feels fucked up," George says, "for me but I can understand for you as well."
"Yea," he replies softly, "what are we gonna do?" George looks his friend in the eyes and lays a hand on his shoulder.
"I don't want to lose you as a friend but I need some time to proces this all," George says. He could see the disappointment in Lando's eyes.
"I don't want to lose you either," Lando mutters, "and please know, I could never stand between you two. Never." George flashes a faint smile as he suddenly realises what he is about to do.

"Shall we focus on Spa?" George questions, "and we will talk about it, some time later?" Lando nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, we gotta race," he says, "yes, of course." George walks away to his paddock as Lando stays behind. He didn't know whether to be relieved or more troubled. He understands George needs time but it doesn't feel right.

"It'll be alright." A voice snaps him back to reality. Lando glances over his shoulder and sees the lady he fell in love with.
