Artemis took her bike as travel mechanism to George's house while Lando waited at the airport.
"I hate wind," Artemis complains while cycling to her destination. She parks her bike and walks to the front door. Her hands run through her hair to make it look representable. She rings the bell as she fiddles with her fingers.
"Hi," George smiles as he opens the door. A smile graces Artemis' lips when her eyes met his. "Come on in! The others will be there later because Lando is at the airport."
"Ah, that's fine," she waves off. Once she walks in, they both receive a message from a rather bored Lando.

Artemis snorts as she sees George's message incoming.
"Lando," she sighs and chuckles, "what a child."
"Only if you knew," George grins, "would you like me to show you around?" Artemis agrees on his offer, especially since she has no idea what else to do. She simply follows George around the house. She truly was amazed by the sense of fashion and style.
"Would you like something to drink?" Artemis opens her mouth to reply but the sound of the doorbell echoes through the house.
"That would be our last three companions," George tells and heads to the door. Three people stand on George's doorstep, waiting for someone to open the door. The door opens and the three look up to their friends.
"Hello!" he greets.
     "Hello there, mate," Lando greets.
"Hey," Charles and Alex say in unison.
"Art!" Charles cheers and embraces his friend.
"Unbelievable, you flew from Monte Carlo to here," she chuckles as if they were mad.
"It was only an hour," Alex shrugs, "it was nothing."
"An hour is long!" Lando complains causing the others to laugh.

They move to the living room where Artemis sat on one of the stools while Lando took the other comfortable stool. Charles, George and Alex sat on the large couch.
"How is Toto as a father?" Alex asks curiously, "I'm just so curious."
Artemis laughs as she answers, "as a father should be. He cares for me and his family. Lovely father."

"Oh, by the way," George says, "who calls in for pizza?"
"I don't say no to pizza," Charles replies, chuckling.
"Me too. That has been a long time. A long long time," Artemis says.
''Oh I love pizza,'' Lando claims happily. George glances at Charles and Alex, who nod in agreement.
"Alright ehm I think it'll be Dominos, so if you guys are going to the site to see which pizza you want,'' George explains.
''Will do,'' Alex says and grabs his phone. After minutes of spending scrolling through the page of pizza's, they made their choice.
"Ah I want the chicken supreme," Artemis says.
     "Pepperoni for me," Lando says.
"Pizza barbecue chicken for me," Charles says.
"And ... a caprese for me," Alex finished.
"That was fast." George laughs and dials the number. He orders the pizza's and thanks the employee.
"Will be there in 25 minutes."

The five talked and talked. They weren't aware of time until the bell rang.
"I think the pizza's are here," George says as he makes his way to the door. He returns to the living room while boxes of pizza.
"Someone wants another drink?" Artemis asks as she gets on her feet. They say their required drink and Artemis disappears in the kitchen.
     "And?" Lando hisses.
"And ... what?" George replies in confusion.
"Between her arrival and ours!" Lando hisses as it's obvious.
"I just showed her around and before we got to the drink part ... You arrived."
"George?" George looks up when Artemis calls his name.
"Can you help me with the drinks? I don't know where everything is and I do not want to break anything," she chuckles nervously.
"Sure!" George and Lando make eye contact, which causes Lando to wink. Only for George to roll his eyes.

George walks into the kitchen, seeing Artemis busy pouring drinks. She faces her back towards his and but she does hear him coming.
A spontaneous idea pops into his mind as he slowly snakes his arms around her waist.
"What are you doing?" she asks, confused about the movement. She felt caught off guard by his sudden movement.
"I always wanted to do that," he murmurs, "but if I suddenly wraps my arms like this around Lando ... no thank you," he chuckles. His face is shortly hidden in the crook of her neck. Artemis ruffles his hair as she giggles.
"Come," she says, "the pizza will get cold."
"Mmm okay." He sounded rather sad but he took the glasses and walked to the living room.

"Someone wants to switch a piece?" Artemis asks.
"Oh, me," Charles says and gives her a piece. Artemis returns one of her pieces. They are eating as George turned on the tv.
     "Anyone? Friends?" George asks.
"Of course Friends," Alex says, "I love Friends!"

After a couple of episodes, the pizza's were in their stomachs. Time had passed to eleven o'clock.
"Shall we go home?" Lando asks, "I'm kinda tired." The two didn't complain, which woke up suspicion with George.
Artemis stood up when she suddenly heard low rumbling in the distance. She instantly knew what was coming up and sat down. She checks her phone, only to see a massive thunderstorm coming up.
     Fuck.

Lando, Charles, and Alex got their jackets and stood in the hallway.
"This was fun," Charles says and gives Artemis a hug.
"It certainly was," she responds. Charles winks towards George, whose feelings are now confirmed. He glared at him and at the other two, who only grinned. The three left, seeing dark clouds hovered over the village.
"I should go too, before hell breaks loose," Artemis hesitatingly says.
     "Oh no way," George says.
     "What?" Artemis scowls.
"There is no way I'm letting you cycle through that storm," he shakes his head. "No."
"I could make it home," she complains.
"You ain't going anywhere," George says firmly, "I won't let you cycle through this weather. You can spend the night here." His firm tone softens as does his expression. Artemis was a bit taken back by his sudden doings but she understood what he meant.
"I'm sorry," he apologises, "I just don't want you to get in danger."
Artemis sends him a soft smile, "it's okay ... I do need to call my father I'm staying over. He will understand." George nods as Artemis dials her father's number.

Princess?

Yeah, hi dad

Something wrong?

No thunderstorm over there?

No, why?
Oh

Yeah, it does here
So George offered me to stay over

That's okay, the gentleman he is
If you feel alone or scared, don't
hesitate to call me okay?

I will, dad
Thank you

I will see you, tomorrow princess
Goodnight

Goodnight dad

"He's okay with, which I assumed," she says, hiding the fact that she is terrified of thunderstorms. George nods and gestures to the stairs.
"I will show you your room." She nods and walks up the stairs. She flinched as a flash of light lit up the house. She acts as nothing happened and continues to walk.
"On your left," he says. Artemis lets out a laugh as she understands the reference.
"I hope this is okay," he says.
"Of course," she says, "thank you for letting me stay."
"No problem. Do you want a shirt or a hoodie of mine? To sleep in?" George questions.
"A shirt would be fine," she says, "thank you."
"I have also some make-up remover things my mum left behind. I have no idea but feel free to use it if you want."
"You're a sweetheart," she chuckles, "thank you."
"My room is right across yours, so if you need me," he says. Artemis nods and smiles.
     "Thanks again, George."
     "No problem and ... goodnight."
"Goodnight."

Artemis changes into George shirt, which is oversized on her. She looks in the mirror, seeing it reaches her ass. Another loud crash causes her to jump. Her heartbeat accelerates as she hurries to the bed. She rolls herself in the duvet, still feeling the adrenaline. She finds herself in a dilemma, whether to call her dad or go over to George's room.
But I don't want to bother him.
Another loud crash causes her to yelp and shrink underneath the blankets. She slowly gets out of bed, walking towards the door.
She knocks onto his and slowly opens the door, only to see him lying in bed. Question marks fly around the Brit's head.
"Is everything alright?" he asks concerned.
"I ... I uh ... It sounds so childish," Artemis stammers, "no, everything's alright. Sorry to bother you." She is about to close the door when George's voice fills the room.
"You can tell me," George offers gently, "I won't judge." Artemis opens the door and looks at him.
"I'm afraid of thunderstorms," she admits. She flinches and covers her ears as another loud crash echoes through the air. George jumps out of bed, revealing he is only wearing shorts. He quickly puts on a shirt and takes her in his arms.
"It's okay," he whispers. Artemis hides her face in his chest.
     "It's so stupid," she mutters.
"No," he answers, "no it's not. Don't be ridiculous. Thunderstorms are pretty dangerous." Another crash happens and George notices how Artemis flinches by the sound.
"Can I sleep with you?" she asks, tilting her head so they make eye contact.
"Of course," he says softly, "come, let's get you to bed."
They both get to bed and lay next to each other. Artemis snuggles closer to George as the storm continues.
"I'm here now," he whispers and plays with her hair, "you're safe. I'll protect you."
"Thank you." A soft reply from Artemis.

George switches from playing with her hair to holding her in his arms, trying to comfort her. His heart is beating fast, so fast that Artemis could hear it but he couldn't care less.
     She is here now.
     "Goodnight Artemis," George whispers.
"Goodnight," she says and snuggles closer. She inhales his scent and feels herself getting calm. Her shoulders relax and her breathing steadies.
Another loud crash causes Artemis to flinch while George's grip around her tightens.
"I'm here. You're safe. No harm can reach you. I'll protect you," he whispers. His soothing words helps her forget the storm and fall asleep.
     "I'm here."
