THE START OF A NEW ERA.
That was the way Willow could describe her present situation, because the thought of the long-time rivals finally working together still seemed odd. Like, really odd.
But that was a good thing actually. She had prayed for something like that to happen for a very long time now, so she was happy that it finally became true.
A small smile plastered on her lips as she walked behind Miguel to the place where the Miyagi-Do's trained, the others following after them. When they finally were within the Miyagi-Dos' sight, she could see the looks of relief on their faces. She was glad.
After a few moments of hesitation, she decided to stand next to Demetri, and as soon as she did so, she closed the boy in a short hug before pulling away so that he could finally high-five Hawk, who suddenly appeared next to them. When he glanced at her, he returned the smile that was on her lips, then opened his mouth as if he was going to say something, but got interrupted by the voices of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.
"Ready?"
"Let's begin!"
The Lawrence man's words were quick to put all the students into a whole handful of confusion. Willow could be counted in too as her head snapped to Blair and Demetri, her emerald green eyes narrowing. The Alexopoulos' hand raised up after a moment of hesitation.
"Uh, begin what exactly?" the boy asked, the others joining his question with a nod of their heads.
Johnny and Daniel turned their heads to each other, nodding slightly. "Begin a new era," the LaRusso man announced. "Many of us used to be enemies." he added. The Froud girl's gaze immediately darted towards Eli's side profile, a sigh escaping her lips before the boy glanced over at her too, causing her to look away quickly, embarrassed of being caught by him.
Because you still like him, Frills. She could still remember the words Demetri told her some time ago, and well, he was completely right. She never really stopped liking Eli Moskowitz. Not even when he was in his bully era.
"But rivalries don't need to last forever. The All Valley Tournament is just a few months away, and this year the stakes are higher than they've ever been. We know that Cobra Kai is gonna use every dirty trick in the book. There's only one way we're gonna be able to beat them . . ."
Suddenly Johnny spoke, "By kicking their asses so hard they shit themselves! We gotta take things to the next level," he declared, and Willow smirked. "Gonna teach you an aggression stronger than anything Cobra Kai can throw at us. They strike first? We'll pre-strike!"
Daniel stepped forward, "Okay, we're getting ahead of ourselves. We are gonna respond to what they do."
The Lawrence interrupted again, "Eagles do not respond. They swoop down and take whatever they want. That's what we're gonna do. Take back the Valley."
Willow scoffed, "Uh-oh."
"Take it back in a measured and organized approach," the LaRusso man explained.
"We bite first!" Johnny shot back, the two's sentences arguing with each other.
Daniel exhaled, the violet-haired girl and Blair joining him.
"Okay, let's just warm up with some simple exercises."
"All right, line up!"
They did what Johnny told them to do, Willow's shoulder brushing against Eli's as she took the place next to him, trying to stop herself from reacting to the small touch.
"And just breathe and follow me," the Miyagi-Do Sensei explained, the others following as he raised his hands up and then separated them along their body again.
The Froud girl tried not to chuckle as she saw the disorientation wash all over the blonde man's face.
"Fighting positions. Right leg back!" Johnny suddenly shouted, and Willow did what he said along with the others, an exhale leaving her lips again, because she didn't do karate in a long time. "Front kick, ready? Hi-yah!"
Willow balanced herself and threw her leg forward, making sure to not hit anyone with it. Everything felt good until Mitch didn't accidentally kick Nate, making him stumble to the ground. Blair, thinking that it was the part of the training, did the same thing with some other kid, him groaning in pain.
"Whoops."
"Shit, dude, I'm sorry." Mitch apologized and Nate answered him only with a painful groan. Blair and Willow grimaced to each other before pulling the boy up together, ignoring him objections.
Even after a few people getting hurt, the training didn't end at all.
The Froud girl stood a few steps away from Bert and Mitch, whose fight was going to start in a few moments, her head leaning on Miguel's shoulder while her hands crossed her chest. She didn't say that out loud, but she was only cheering for Bert. He was her son, right?
"Ready? Fight!" Johnny ordered, and the two started sending punches and kicks at each other, not using any type of the Miyagi-Do defense at all.
With that, Daniel stood between them, stopping their fight, "Hey, hey, hey! You're just swinging at each other!" he commented before turning to Johnny. "Don't you teach any defense?"
Willow watched Mitch smirk, "Best defense is more offense,"
And, after that, Bert just suddenly kicked him on the side and pushed him falling to some rock that was behind him. The girl recognized him from the photos that Demetri sent her once when the dojo was trashed. She hissed from surprise.
"Holy . . . Why do you have a rock in the middle of your dojo?" Johnny turned to Daniel reproachfully after he heard Mitch's pained moans.
Willow swallowed, thinking about something to fix the atmosphere. After some moment, she clapped, covering him grimace with a forced smile. "Yo, that's my kid over there!" she exclaimed, proudly wrapping her arm around the smaller boy, who smiled.
However, Eli could feel his heart fasten at the sudden sentence. Did she remember the act he once pulled in front of the cashier or was it just an accident? He really needed an answer for that, because, after all, he was Bert's father and Willow's husband, right?

SOME TIME HAD PASSED and Willow could finally admit that she already watched a few fights between the Eagles, and the Miyagi-Do's, so as a result, she got a few new ideas for the fighting moves in her mind.
Well, at least they looked good in her imagination. Time had to decide whether they really were or not.
Luckily, she didn't have to wait for a long time, because Johnny commanded her and the others to walk inside the dojo, then immediately chose her to be the one fighting Hawk. Little did he know how the Moskowitz boy made her feel past those very hard months.
And little did he know that she needed to finally get the anger out of herself.
"No hard feelings?" she cleared her throat loudly before speaking to the boy, trying to stop the hesitation that was growing inside her as soon as her fists positioned themselves into a fighting position.
When she looked at Eli, his eyes could already tell her everything. Even the words ”I'm not going to fight you” that never really escaped his mouth.
She gave him a small eye roll before an exhale left her lips. It didn't take long for her to be the one to attack first by kicking him in the side, making him push backwards. That made him gaze at her, surprise and confusion washing all over his face.
"Loo —"
"It's fine. Really," she stated firmly before he could even finish his sentence. She could see him hesitate for a few moments, but then he finally lifted his fists up, a breath of defeat escaping his lips. "Ready to get your ass kicked, E?" she questioned, him snorting.
But yet again, his heart skipped faster again. E. The amount of happiness growing inside him just when he heard that, and not the nickname Hawk was indescribable.
"Show me everything you got, Loo." he replied after a few moments, the girl smiling innocently at his words, her fists making their way towards his face a second later.
He quickly blocked it, and didn't owe her anything as he did the same move as hers, the two repeating themselves for some time before Willow used her leg to hit him in the stomach. He grunted in pain, but still managed to grab her leg and with that pull her to the ground, also making sure for her not to get too hurt. Who would have thought that Eli Moskowitz still had the soft spot for Willow Froud.
Some people clapped, but also some groaned in displeasure.
Willow bit her cheek as her back hit the floor, her eyes not leaving Eli's blue ones as he hovered over her, pulling his hand her way to lift her up to her feet.
"You good?" Eli asked, and she grabbed his hand and used it to stand up.
After that, she slightly pushed him away, then put herself into a fighting position again, the smile not leaving her lips. "And shouldn't I be?"
He shrugged, and wanted to say something in response, but got cut off by Johnny, who started getting impatient.
"Come on, Thumbelina. Stop toying with Hawk, and finally kick his ass!"
She raised her eyebrows at the man, and then looked back at the Moskowitz boy, who had a concentrated look on his face.
"Come on, strike first." she told him, causing him to grimace before doing what she told him to.
He jumped in the air as his fist aimed at the girl, who immediately dodged the hit by arching backwards. He sent other punches at the girl, her blocking them and then grabbing his leg after he spun around and went to kick her again. She pushed him backwards, and when he wanted to aim at her again, she grabbed him and suddenly turned him around, his foot resulting in a hole in the dojo door.
"Shit,"
She swallowed, "Uh, sorry." she muttered underneath her breath.
"You see? That's why we don't spare in here." Daniel announced as he ran towards the two, his eyes widening at the damage caused by them.
"Alright, who's next?"

WILLOW AND BLAIR walked together out of the dojo, giggling to each other as they shared some gossips they found out about on the time they didn't hang with each other. A sigh of relief left the violet-haired girl's lips, because she was already tired after the whole training. Especially after all the time Johnny forced her to spar with someone.
"My hair dye's already washing out, so I think I might need your help again. I was thinking about intense purple or something like that," she finally announced, Blair looking at her with a proud smile, her hands playing with the keys with her car as they made their way towards it. "And maybe I'll start styling my bangs into a curtain."
"You should do it. It would totally suit you," the Johnson girl advised, nodding her head in agreement.
They were going to open the doors of the car, but got stopped by another voice being heard nearby.
"Loo, wait!"
Willow blinked several times, and turned around, her lips twitching at the image of Eli coming ( more likely running ) her way, one of his hands holding the belt of the sport bag hanging over his shoulder.
Blair, noticing him, smirked and sent her best friend a meaningful look. It didn't last long, though, because she quickly hid it as he stood in front of the Froud girl.
"Uhm, I — What's wrong?"
The boy exhaled, closed his eyes then opened it again, looking as if he was trying to find the strength to do something. When he finally did, Willow could read a lot from his eyes. They never lied.
"Eli?"
He glared away from nervousness, trying to fight back the bad thoughts appearing in his mind. He couldn't, though. After everything, he was scared that he would ruin things with Willow Froud even more than before. She was completely right — he missed her as hell.
With that, he swallowed quickly and shook his head.
"I — nevermind. Sorry for wasting your time," he muttered and before she could say something, he turned around and quickly stormed towards his car, clenching his jaw, being mad at himself for acting like such a coward.
Meanwhile, Willow sent Blair a questionable stare, her shrugging in response.
When they sat in the car, she waited for the dark blonde to finally start the engine, but before that even happened, she typed something on her phone, doing everything so that the girl could see what it was.
