WILLOW REALLY TRIED HER BEST to stay in reality and not get too upset about everything the next day at the dojo, but after getting a message and photo from Demetri telling her about Kreese beating him up when he tried to join the team, she couldn't hold back anymore. She stretched next to Miguel, her nails digging hard into her skin as she heard Kreese's voice, which was something she really started despising lately — from the very beginning she was sure that the man was nothing good, but she would never expect him to do something like that, especially to her best friend. There were a few words that she could call that man and asshole was definitely on the top of the lips.
"I tell you, Rwanda was no joke," he said to Aisha and Hawk, who listened intently to his stories. Willow's eyes narrowed in confusion before she scoffed, causing her friends to look at her with questioning eyes. With that, she fell silent again, afraid to say something she didn't really mean.
Miguel stood up, being as confused as the blonde girl. "Don't you mean Somalia?" he asked, which disoriented both Aisha and Hawk. "Mogadishu is in Somalia, Rwanda's a whole different country." he explained, and a winning smile appeared on Willow's lips. Finally busted.
Kreese faked a smile. "Of course, Somalia. I've spent so much time in the sandbox, it all kind of bleeds together, you know?" he declared.
Luckily, Johnny's voice finally interrupted their conversation. "Listen up!" he shouted and the Froud girl immediately stood up, clenching her jaw as she passed by Kreese, who gave her a single glare that she didn't like. "I see we've got some recruits."
The blonde girl looked around and her eyes opened widely as she saw Tanner and Blair standing along with the new students. As soon as they looked at her back, she sent them a wave before returning her attention to Johnny.
"Everybody, fall in." he ordered. "In neat rows and lines."
With that, Willow quickly took her place next to Blair, who seemed to already have enough of the training — she really enjoyed the gain without the pain.
"Time to see what you're made of."
Willow watched as Johnny walked around the room, glancing at each student near. When he was next to her, he nodded to her, which she returned and then his gaze fell on Blair, who looked as if she was there by force. And well, she probably was, seeing the determined look on Tanner's face.
"More enthusiasm, Barbie." Johnny said to Blair, who forced a small smile while her eyes continued being murderous. A sigh escaped her lips when the man finally walked towards someone else. "Sorry, parents can't stay for the class. It's an insurance thing."
Willow looked at some older man and frowned, wondering why he seemed so familiar to her. Then she realized that he was the one, who she threw her Cobra Kai plushie at. "I'm not a dad. I . . . I am here to kick some ass, sir!" the new man explained.
"Do I know you from somewhere?"
He nodded his head. "Oh, yeah, they, uh . . . I sold you the mirror. We kind of bonded, talked about rock bands."
The Lawrence looked at the ground for a moment. "Look, you're a little old. This is a class for teenagers."
"Well, I can take 'em. I'm not afraid of kids, sir" he replied, snorting. "And my mom, she doesn't charge me rent, so I got a lot of cash to burn."
And that seemed to actually have worked on Johnny.
"We'll consider this a trial run." he announced and Willow looked at Blair, blinking several times.
"I hope I'm not going to ever fight him." she whispered to the Johnson girl, who immediately agreed.
"I thought my last group of recruits was pathetic, but if you do what I tell you to do, you'll at least have a chance at becoming a fighter. But to do that, you gotta fight." he ended his speech, looking around. "So, which one of you has the balls to take on the champ?" he asked and a silence remained in the room.
Willow's head snapped to Miguel and then to the new man, who started raising his hand up, but another voice interrupted him.
"I'll take him on."
With that, everyone stepped aside, so that the girl was visible. Even though Willow didn't know her, she flashed a proud smile towards her — finally someone, who accepted the challenge.
"Oh, you will, huh?" Johnny spoke.
The girl nodded. "I saw your little demo at Valley Fest. You guys can put on a show . . . but can you actually fight?" she raised her eyebrows teasingly.
"That sounds like a challenge." the Lawrence stated.
"I like a challenge."
With that, the blonde man started walking to his old spot, "Mr. Diaz, show little Miss Hotshot here what Cobra Kai is all about."
Willow watched as Miguel bowed to Johnny and then walked towards the girl, everyone pushing themselves to the side. Blair elbowed Willow, making her turn her head to her.
"I think I'm one hundred percent in love." she commented with a dreamy voice, which caused her friend to giggle shortly and then glare back at the two, who were supposed to fight in a moment.
"Look, are you sure you wanna do . . ." the Diaz boy started hesitantly, but the new girl ran over him and kicked him right in the stomach. He stumbled back and then he put himself into a fighting position. "Alright. Game on."
Willow grinned in excitement as she watched the fight. The new girl sent a few aggressive punches at the Diaz boy, but he dodged it easily and then moved away from her. "Close the gap." he instructed.
She ran up to him and tried to kick him, but he grabbed her leg and threw her to the ground. There was a loud "ooh" in the room. It didn't make her stop, though — she stood up and aimed at the boy again, trying to throw a punch at him, which he blocked several times.
"You're telegraphing." Miguel said and kicked the girl's leg from under her. "Don't let me see it coming."
She wrapped her arms around the Diaz's torso and threw the two on the ground and then stood up with a smirk. "Did you see that coming?"
Grabbing the girl's waist with his legs, Miguel sent her to the ground once again. "Maybe." he stood up and pulled his hand towards her. "My name's Miguel."
"Tory," she replied, grabbing his hand. He didn't even notice as she flipped him over her shoulder and held his face to the ground, a painful groan escaping his lips. "With a Y."
As a result, Willow and Blair looked at each other, both smirking. They already liked the new girl.

WHEN WILLOW THOUGHT THAT nothing could annoy her more today, she was sorely mistaken. Her head rested wearily on the Johnson's shoulder as the two of them sat in the backseat of Tanner's car, reading the new messages Demetri had sent about being threatened by Eli just for telling him what Kreese had done to him. Willow could feel her body tense, along with the confusion and shock that showed on her face.
Right, the Moskowitz boy was acting like an asshole lately, but she would never expect him to threaten Demetri. They were best friends — binary brothers, for God's sake. Why would he do something like that to his best friend and not take his side? That was the next reason why she started hating John Kreese even more. She really couldn't get why Johnny let someone like that into the dojo. He definitely didn't have good intentions. Willow could feel it straight away.
"I just don't understand why he would do something like that. He knows Metri much longer than he knows Kreese," she took a deep breath, and put her phone down. She had mixed feelings about the whole situation — she really wanted to understand Hawk, but she couldn't. He picked to protect some asshole instead of his best friend and that was unbelievable.
"You mean that blue mohawk guy?" Tanner frowned in confusion, looking at the girl's reflection in the small mirror.
She nodded her head, "Yeah, exactly."
"And what has Kreese to do with him?" he then questioned. Blair rolled her eyes at him, finding his unconsciousness pretty funny.
Willow elbowed her, which caused her to mock her facial expression. "He's, like, brainwashing him and my friends. I have a bad feeling about him, but Sensei doesn't listen to me or Miguel. Second chance my ass." the Froud girl muttered. The Sage boy remained confused even more.
He cleared his throat, turning his attention towards the street once again. "Uh, I don't know. I kinda like him, you know." he said not even looking at the two girls, who looked completely shocked.
Blair groaned in dissatisfaction. "Oh my God, honey, no. As the smartest friend I don't let you like some old ass prick, who'll turn you into some asshole."
Willow agreed. "Yeah, same. I will not accept another asshole behavior," she agreed and then added something else. "Also, please, I'm the smartest one from here."
Blair and Tanner raised their eyebrows at her words. With that she rolled her eyes, "Okay, maybe not the smartest."
"That's better." Tanner admitted. "And now, please, stop bubbling about this mohawk guy and show some enthusiasm, because we're going to my house, bitches!" he said, lifting his hands off the steering wheel, but putting them there back as he heard the car behind him honk.
The two girls forced a happy yell, "Uh, why are we actually cheering?" Willow whispered into Blair's ear.
"I don't know, let's just continue," she whispered back and they smiled happily once again.

❝THE BACK THRUST KICK works like this. You step, pivot, throw a side kick," Johnny explained on the other day, Willow observing him carefully, avoiding Hawk, who was sending short glances at her.
After he opened his Instagram page on the previous day and the first thing he could see was the photo featuring her and Tanner smiling at each other, he felt nothing else than rage and sadness — he really wished it was him instead, but it couldn't be. He had done it all to himself and he had to accept it. Their relationship changed in such a short time into something worse than before. Every time someone made one step forward, the other person made three steps back.
"What about if your opponent attacks you from behind?" Hawk asked after a while, taking his blue eyes away from the blonde girl, who sighed in relief.
"Excellent question," Johnny commented and then turned his head to Kreese. "Sensei Kreese, you wanna take this one?" he suggested.
Willow froze, opening her emerald eyes widely at the two first words. Sensei Kreese. No, he couldn't. He couldn't do it — not after he promised her to be careful around the man.
"Certainly, Sensei Lawrence," he answered and the Froud girl cleared her throat, feeling unbelievable. She looked at Miguel, who had the same look as her.
When Johnny was close to them, the Diaz spoke. "You sure about this, Sensei?"
He nodded his head. "There's nothing to worry about." he reassured, but Willow found it really hard to believe him. Even more after she saw the smirk on Kreese's face.
"The key to this move is making your enemy think you are retreating, but just as they let their guard down, that's when you strike the hardest."
And with those words Willow's and Hawk's eyes met, but with a difference — he was smirking, and she had this unsure look on her face. She never doubted something so much before like John Kreese's words that seemed to have another meaning.
natalia speaks . . . !
and this is where hell starts.
