「 ✦ SYNOPSIS ✦ 」

in which lexi had a daughter

shortly after meeting stefan salvatore – the ripper – lexi stumbled upon an orphaned girl who's no more the five. the girl knew nothing but her name and that her parents never woke up one morning.

lexi, ever the bleeding heart and having a small inkling of what might've happened, took the girl in. she fed her and bathed her and took her with her everywhere she went.

once stefan was on the mend from his ripper ways, lexi took the child and found them a decent home. she cared for the girl as if she were her own and it brought back memories of when she had taken care of her brother.

as charlotte gree older she wondered why her mom never seemed to age, so one day she asked.

lexi was shaken by the question but she saw no point in lying. charlotte was 11 at the time.

it took a few days for the information to sink in, but she came around. she assured her mom that it didn't change how she saw her or felt about her.

at age 16, charlotte told her mom she wanted to turn on her 18th birthday. the thought her mom someday watching her die made her feel sick to her stomach. lexi respected her daughter's choice and loved that wants to wait until she was 18 to make the change. she thought it was very responsible of her.

but plans change.

when charlotte was just 17 years old there was an accident. she was badly injured and lexi ran to her aid, her wrist bleeding and pressed to her lips on moments. she cried as she did it, but it was necessary. she couldn't watch her baby die, so with tears in her eyes she gave her daughter her blood then sat her up and hugged her close.

the next day lexi was vigilante. she stayed next to charlotte, keeping a close eye on her until she was sure the blood was out of her system.

but charlotte was clumsy.

when climbing a tree, after bed time, she spilled and fell.

she broke her neck, dead on impact.

lexi found her shortly after, having heard the commotion and she was certain her baby was gone. the blood had passed and she had lost her daughter. tears welled in her eyes as she cradled her baby's head in her lap.

but a gasp startled her.

she pulled back to see her daughter's eyes flutter open, her chest rising with breaths her hands flying up to grasp her mother. she was in shock.

and from then on, lexi vowed to protect the girl with everything in her.

years later, on a trip to surprise stefan salvatore, everything changes when charlie loses the only mother she had ever known.

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie was born august 17, 1859. her parents were slaughtered but the ripper in 1864, when she was five

she was turned at 17

๋࣭⭑⚝ lexi came across charlotte in 1864, just after she met stefan and she took the girl in, though all the girl knew was her name

๋࣭⭑⚝ lexi is her mom. she never calls her her adoptive mother, lexi has and always will be her mother

๋࣭⭑⚝ for legal purposes, damon adopts charlie after everything with lexi ( this probably won't happen until season two when she gets a daylight ring and starts attending school )

๋࣭⭑⚝ chatlotte has never had a daylight ring

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie goes to mystic falls with lexi for stefan's birthday and she helps her mom scare/surprise him

๋࣭⭑⚝ she has a lot of nicknames, she pers charlie ( since the 70s ), stefan calls her lottie, damon calls her little lexi, brat, rugrat, and short shit

๋࣭⭑⚝ lexi never told charlie that it was stefan who killed he biological parents

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie watches damon kill lexi, she has walked out of the bar and Stefanie grabbed her, her hand over her mouth to muffle her cries ( maybe she turns off her emotions for a little while, up to you )

๋࣭⭑⚝ she calls stefan uncle stefan and he takes her in after lexi dies. but she doesn't call damon her uncle, she hates damon

๋࣭⭑⚝ at some point in season one or two, damon tells charlie that stefan was the one who killed her bio-parents creating a rift between the girl and stefan that lasts a little while but they work it out

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie and damon do mend their relationship and they become best friends, even becoming as close as family throughout the series. damon would do anything for charlie, especially in later seasons. as they bond and build a relationship he calls her gracie

๋࣭⭑⚝ bonnie makes her a daylight ring when she makes one for caroline ( so season one, charlie is confined to the salvatore house during the day, unless you can find a work around )

๋࣭⭑⚝ she and jeremy bond over video games and art, but she's slow to admit her feelings for him because she recently got her heart broken

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie and lexi move around a lot, they've been all over and charlie loves their lifestyle

๋࣭⭑⚝ a little while before they go to mystic falls, charlie was in a relationship but when she slept with him, he ghosted her and broke her heart so she's essentially given up on love

๋࣭⭑⚝ the first season is more about her learning to live with her mom's death, getting used to living with stefan and helping him get rid of damon

๋࣭⭑⚝ any romantic relationship she has will have to be slowburn, they must become friends first

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie is bisexual

๋࣭⭑⚝ stefan and damon are not love interest options! they are essentially her family!

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie was very fond of lee, she even goes to tell him the news of Lexi's death and that she's gonna stay with her uncle

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie is a lot like lexi, carefree and wild. she likes to have a good time, but she does know when to pull back. lexi liked to joke that charlie acted the more like a mom then she did

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie likes to make jokes about the fact that stefan is older then her, she calls him grandpa and old man sometimes

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie did go to that bon jovi concert with lexi and stefan

๋࣭⭑⚝ do see there being a bit of a rift between her and elena, maybe elena is a little jealous that stefan has to spend a lot of time with lottie - but elena eventually gets over that when stefan finally explains who she is

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie is very fascinated by stefan's daylight ring, always had been, when they would hang out she always played with it

๋࣭⭑⚝ charlie tries to kill damon, quite often, jumping at him with stakes but he faster and stronger

๋࣭⭑⚝ don't really have much planned out farther into the series, so you can do what you feel would best suited charlie and the plot

๋࣭⭑⚝ not opposed to her have more then one love interest throughout the course of the series, i even prefer that. it makes more sense then her just having one relationship

friendships are up to you!!
