Chapter 49

"Excuse me, are you perhaps my brother's group of friends?"

A tall, well-styled and graceful-looking men walked towards your group's table with a subtle smile while holding his plate filled with food for lunch.

You flinched at your seat while passing glances to your other friends. Gou's orbs was wide like saucers, Nagisa was just confused, Makoto and Haruka was just continuing to eat their lunch.

"Is no one really going to answer him?!--"

Rei faked a cough with a fist near his lips and looks at the man. "Are you perhaps.. Haruka's brother?" he asks, and you looked at him with a 'what-the-frick' expression.

The man nods at him and scanned the whole group, his eyes landed at you. "May I have a seat?"

You smiled and nodded, even though you had no idea why you agreed to let him sit next to you. Now you're between and the middle of the Nanase Brothers, can't be even more uncomfortable than now.

Nudging Haruka's shoulder on your right, he looks at you belwilderedly and you gave him a look to explain this. He only raised his shoulders for an 'i-don't-know' and shifted back to eating.

You sighed mentally and did the same thing. A voice spoke on your left again, "Oh, I forgot to mention- my name is Haru Nanase."

"We will never forget his name since its the nickname we call Haruka besides from 'water-addict'." you mentally chuckled underneath your thoughts.

Nagisa cheerfully smiled at him and chirped. "Nice to meet you Haru-san!"

Haruka's brother smiled at the young man. "I didn't know my younger brother has friend in middle school.." he unintentionally said causing the group to burst out in laughter.

Nagisa narrowed his eyes at him and was about to curse at the man but he snapped back himself in reality, he shouldn't do that to a teacher.

"Oh, and you better call me Runa-san instead. Its a nickname students calls me so you won't get confused with calling names with my brother and myself." Runa explained and everyone nodded.

"That sounds like a girl's name.." Nagisa lowly muttered underneath his breath but Runa heard it and smiled in irritation.

"What did you just say, middle schooler?" Runa widens his smile at Nagisa and Nagisa started to sweatdropped at him with a forced sheepish smile.

You were laughing and chuckling at the scenery that you almost forgot that their was food in your mouth. Out of the concrete bubble, you choked yourself.

"A-Are you okay, squid??"

"Here! Drink some water!"

You gladly and quickly took the glass of water and started drinking it down your choking throat. After a few seconds, you realized everyone in the group was just looking at you with concerned expressions.

"Th-That's so embarrassing!!--"

When you finished all the water in the glass, you placed it back on the table and realized it was Runa's only glass of water! And he had water splashed all over his uniform.

He looked at you with pure concern and softly patted your head. "Let me take you to the nurse's office--"

You cutted him off and stood up from the chair with red tinted, burning cheeks. "I'm sorry!" you say while bowing down politely at the same time. You grabbed his glass and started running towards a vending machine, "I-I'll get you some water!"

The vending machine was a bit far that you're already panting so hard from jogging. You took a moment to pause and inhale-exhaled yourself, then you start buying a water bottle to fill the glass.

As you were about to finish, you heard incoming footsteps going towards you who was just silently getting some water.

The water bottle dropped down from the machine, and you were about to pick it up while bending your knees ti'll someone grabbed it first.

"H-Hey!! I just bought that!-" you yell at the person who was just a male student holding your water-bottle. You were about to cut his head off until he speaks. "Chillax! I was only trying to give you this!" he lends the water bottle and you slowly but surely took it from his palms.

He scratched his nape and sighed at you who was in a position that was ready to attack someone. "Listen, I don't know who you are but mind your own business next time, okay?!--"

He cutted you off by his words, "I was just going to ask you if you're still in that 'Iwatobi-Swimming-Club'!"

You suddenly paused for a second and looked at him with a confuse expression. "Uhm.. yes, I still am. Why do you ask?"

He sighed again, but this time in relief. Then he takes out an envelope from his palms and extends his arms to give it towards you. "A friend of mine from another school who also joined the Prefectural Tournament last week wanted me to give you this."

You looked at the envelope and then at him, then at the envelope again then back to him then to the envelope once again and then-

"There's no ticking bomb inside it, goddamnit!" He yells, now serious and you rolled your eyes at him and just accepted the envelope since you had no choice.

He continues, "Finally.." he facepalmed himself. "I didn't open that or see whatever is inside there, okay but all he told me was give this to you and tell you that you should think thoroughly."

You raised a brow, multiple numbered of question marks in your thoughts. "W-Wait, who's him? And what do you mean by--"

"I don't know! I don't know! Okay?!.. I'll take my leave." he snaps and leaves you alone now.

You rolled your orbs one more time with a infuriated expression towards him. "That baka!" then you looked back at envelope your holding for a brief pause and shoved it in your pockets and started going back to the group's table.

"What took you so long, squid?!" Gou angrily looks at you but somewhat inside her, she still looks sarcastic. You reply while sweating, "U-Uh, the vending machine was.. broken! So.. you know..." you completely stuttered, out of words to say.

She sat back down on her chair while crossing her arms with a cute pout. "Don't leave me hanging on this table when I'm the only girl here!" she yells and you just grinned at her while nodding.

And when you were about to sit, you realized Runa wasn't sitting with the group's table anymore. "Where.. did Runa-san go? I have his water now.."

"He went back to some important meeting again, he told us to tell you that you don't need to do things like that again but he appreciates them, though." Makoto briefly explains you and you felt like you just became empty.

"What am I going to do with this water now?.. gosh, has he even forgiven me?"

Finally dismissal, the group went back to their homes and all was left was you and Haruka just walking beside you in the tranquil street, all alone.

Haruka notices you looked somewhat blue than the usual. "What's wrong? Did someone hurt you?.. don't worry, that person won't be alive when I see them again-"

"No its not that, idiot." you quietly grinned at him while slapping his shoulder. "Its just that, I accidentally did some things to Runa-san and I didn't apologize properly." you frowned, and your eyes was starting to get teary.

He dramatically sighs and stares at you for a second. You feel his staring and it was making you uncomfortable, "What are you thinking now, Har--"

He pulls your waist towards him and his one hand holding the back of your head and his other hand on on your back while gently placing his soft lips to yours. His sweet taste flinching your whole body out.

After a quick second that felt like the world just stopped moving, he broke the kiss and stares only at your lips then to your eyes that was just shocked at what he just did.

"H-Haruk--" you stumbled on your words but he pecks your lips again to stop you from speaking. When he looks at you again, a small curve twitched his lips.

"Only frown and get teary when you did something bad to me, okay? No one else, its making me envious. You're mine and no one's going to change that."

You smiled at him, your cheeks burning like crazy already. "O-Okay.."
