Chapter 42

Your father quickly gave a peck on your forehead with a slight hug before leaving the house for work, "Take care of yourself kiddo, I might come home late." he waves his hand with a smile and he left.

Few seconds later, your smile completely turned into a frown and you plopped yourself down on the sofa. Feeling really numb after all the practice going through for days and weeks.

The prefectural tournament is going to start from two days ahead and with a weak body like yours, you felt like you just want to back off but you could never have the guts to for some reason.

You lousily streched your arms and hands, making a small 'crack' sound. Then a notification was heard on your phone, you quickly grabbed it and opened to see who texted you.

Water-addict.

Not even surprised, you saw him messaged you and asked you if you could come in his house for the whole day. Perfect timing.

As fast as you could, you ran upstairs into your room and quickly shifted into some more of an 'appropriate outfit' to go outside. You can't go outside wearing shorts and a 'spaghetti-top', never gonna happen.

Outfit was simple as ever, your boyfriend wouldn't mind seeing you into something ugly or weird-looking outfits. But no, you didn't changed into an outfit like that.

You wore a simple black oversized shirt with a cute design on it with a pair of some blue waist jeans and some casual white sandals to go with your entire outfit.

And you didn't really did anything special to your hair, you just brushed it and let it down on the sides of your face but you still kept a hairtie on your wrist. You'll never know that you might need it.

Looking again on the mirror to see your reflection, you did some mere twirls and just checked your outfit. And when you finally pushed the button for approval, you go ahead grab your favorite black purse with some necessities inside it and exited the house.

Haruka's POV**

It didn't took long for my squid to arrive, I saw her walking down the streets with a really feminime outfit. She looked really attractive and could easily snatch anyone's heart.

And she snatched mine first. (a/n: cornyyyy cringee haru)

I quickly ran downstairs to open the front of door for her to come in, and as soon as I did. I felt my heart already skipped a beat, she smiled and straight off hugged me without hesitation.

"Haruuuu!!.." she squeaked beneath the hug. I just felt blood pouring down on my cheeks and entire face. "Yah.. say something! I didn't come here to get more bored for you!"

I snorted with a chuckle. "O-Okay, okay. But can you stop hugging me? Its making me feel uneasy.." you admitted, she just looked too delicate and fragile today for some reason, making you feel soft for her.

She tossed her purse onto me and I flinched at her action but I somehow managed to catch it. Then she tied her hair into a messy ponytail. "What is she going to do?--"

"Why aren't you washing dishes, Haru?" she said with a hint of sassiness (a/n: is that a word 😂) in her voice while crossing her arms at me. I bit my lip with a crooked smile. "She noticed that quick?!"

She sighed at my silence at her, causing her conclusion to be correct. "I'll wash it for you, its you I'm doing this for anyway." she says with pouted lips, she looked adorable.

Heading her way to the kitchen, I placed her purse on the living room's table and followed her way without her knowing that I was.

Doing the usual thing when washing dishes, she first wore an apron before starting then quickly started washing the dishes that I haven't wash since yesterday. Don't judge, practicing swimming made my body numb so I couldn't move well.

I only watched her do its thing, and also I admire (Y/n)'s beauty a lot. No matter what outfit or hairstyle she wears, she still looked freaking beautiful and gorgeous. I've never felt like this for someone, I feel like a completely different person actually.

I slowly walked with quiet footsteps at (Y/n)'s busy back. Then I gently wrapped my arms around her waist, I felt her body flinch and hesitate. She slightly turned her head around and then smiled realizing it was only me.

I also placed my chin on her shoulder, I wish time could stop and make this moment last for hours. I don't know why and I don't know how to describe it, it just feels surreal.

My mouth suddenly twitches. "Squid." I called.

"Hm?" she mumbles in a questioning manner. "What is it, Haru?"

"Can you wash the dishes again for me tomorrow?"

She suddenly stops her busy hands and turned her head around to see mine. She gritted her teeth in a playful manner, making me laugh at her.

She opened her mouth to say something but I instantly kissed it refraining her from speaking. Her cheeks burned into hot flaming and red in color. Why is she so cute?

"Its a joke, squid." I said with a mischievious smile forming on my lips. "..but if you really don't mind, please wash the dishes for me tomorro-"

She nudged my stomach using her shoulder causing me to tremble backwards on my feet. I saw her mirroring my mischievious smile earlier, she smirked but her cheeks were still super red.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll do them for you tomorrow." she says after shifting her focus back into finishing washing dishes. I smiled at her reply, finally! No work for me!

"But.." her word trailed off and my whole world suddenly stopped moving. What now?

"But you should buy me two boxes of pizza, two cups of milktea on my favorite vanilla flavor, one box of fried chicken from mcdonalds and also a kiss on my cheek, deal?"

I was about to decline because my money was already quaking in my wallet but her last phrase made me quickly change my mind. "Sure, but can I just kiss your lips? Not just your cheeks?-"

She suddenly splattered water on me, making my shirt wet. "Yah! Pervert!" she yells, her cheeks in more of a defining red in color.

"What's wrong about kissing my girlfriend?" I asked her and bursted out in laughter.
