Chapter 33

"(Y/n)." scarlet boy calls. "(Y/n).. (Y/n)!" you let go of your grip to his wrist and angrily turned your back around with brows arched down. "What now, Rin-kun?!"

He frowns at the sight of you being like this. Your spine shivered at his direct stare to you, his eyes giving you chills. You sighed.

"I'm sorry.." you blurted.

He flinches by the phrase. "Sorry? What for?"

"Sorry for letting you just blop into the problem when its not really yours. I mean.. look at your bruises on your face!" your realized that you needed to treat his bruises and scars.

"Squid, its alright. I can do them myself-"

You grab his wrist again and started walking, or possibly jogging away- finding your house. "I can't let you go like this, Rin-kun!" you said.

Suddenly, you felt his fingers interwine with yours, enveloping his hand to yours. Your face blushed but you just focused on getting home first.

After quite awhile, you finally reached your destined placed and let yourself, and scarlet boy enter. As you did, you saw your mom sitting all alone on the couch with a expression that spits bad news.

"I'm home." you signaled but your mother just stayed like a statue still on the couch. Not moving an inch or saying anything.

Rin notices the tension. "Did something happen?" he asked like a caring person.

You smiled to him and shooked your head as if you were sure. "I'm sure nothing happened. If something did, we'll just give her space to clear things up on her head. We shoudn't pry." you told him.

He nods by his movement was unsure. Its like he really senses something that isn't quite right.

You dozed off and started walking up the stairs with Rin. "Is she always like this?" he asks, concerned again. You smiled but he didn't notice it, you liked how much of a caring humanoid he is.

"No.." you spoke slowly, carefully picking out the right words. "..I'll talk to her later, okay?" you said and he finally nodded like he was sure.

You entered your bedroom, it was clean, neat and organized. Guessing your mother cleaned it for you while you were gone.

Rin's eyes glanced at the whole room. "What a pleasant room." he complimented. "My room is the definition of mess and disaster, I'm telling you." he chuckles between his words.

You stayed quiet and searched for your aid kit. As you did, he just looked and looked at your room at details on it with satisfaction. "You got tons of books here, huh?"

"Well, yeah. Most of them are from my dad, he likes books about swimming." you concluded as you digged in your cabinets, still searching.

You heard Rin gasp, "Really?.. that's cool." he said as he leans closer to the bookshelf. "Will you mind if I borrow one?" he asks as he shifts his head over his shoulder.

It took you a moment first or two before answering. "Of course."

"Cool. Thanks, squid." he gently took out a book and flicks through the pages. "Shoot! This are the expensive books that I have been wanting to have since I was a kid! Holding one right now, feels like I accomplished a goal."

He sounded perfectly, completely like a fanboy in a fandom. You giggled at that thought.

Your eyes brightened as you finally found what you've been searching for. "Found it!" you loudly yell out, signalling Rin to get in position to get his bruises treat.

You opened the kit and pulled out first cotton balls along with betadine. You slowly but surely placed enough betadine on a piece of fluffed cotton.

"Rin-kun, I am going to test if you are strong or perhaps weak." you said smirking but he just giggled at your pride. You rolled your orbs and gently smoothed out his bruises with the cotton.

He didn't seem to get hurt by it and just continued reading the book he is holding. You raised your brows, "Seems like you're strong.." you nodded.

"Duh." he says making you laugh.

You throwed in the bin the cotton and took out bandages. You suddenly giggled as you saw the designs of the bandages.

"Here's a barbie bandage for your bruise on your forehead." you chuckled and gently placed the bandage on his forehead.

He lifts a brow. "A barb- WHAT?!" he looks at the mirror and frowns. He tempted to remove the bandage but he knows that if he would, it would hurt the bruise more. He dramatically whines.

You chuckled more as you placed another bandage- a spongebob bandage on his left cheek. You didn't want to waste time so you just picked out whatever bandages you saw in the kit and placed them on each of his bleeding scars.

"Damn, I feel like a seven-year-old flexing his bandages of child shows." you laughed even harder at his statement that you fell on the floor.

He smiles at you. "I love seeing you like this." he says and a dark shade of red crosses your cheeks and fills them in that color softly. You hid your face.

"Something wrong?" he questions and you shook rapidly your head. You stood up and exit your room, "I'll just go get some water." you said and continued walking out and head downstairs.

As you came into the kitchen, you saw a water bottle and quickly took it. You drink a few liquids in and your mouth feels so fresh already.

The water made it reminded of you of someone. You started sniffing silently as tears fell out on the corners of your eyes. "Haruka..." you'd be lying if you said that you didn't missed him.

He was your first ever love, not to mention that he is also your first boyfriend. Its so hard to tackle all the memories with him even if your thinking of hating him so freaking much. You hate him but you still love him, its complicated.

You walked out the kitchen and saw your mom still sitting on the couch in the living room with the same position. You recalled that you told Rin that you would talk to her if she has something buggin her.

You wiped your tears and make sure that it wasn't too noticeable that you cried. You sat beside her on the couch.

"Mom?" you called but she doesn't answer. You sigh, "Mom, if you aren't going to answer then how could I possible know what's bothering you?"

You waited for her to speak but still, she doesn't, like she is completely mute. You looked at her and her face was just blank and empty, she's not even blinking, "Seriously, mom! Speak up!-"

Now you started shaking her shoulders but as you did, she fell on the ground making you scream and flinch. Your eyes widened and you covered your mouth. "N-N..no.."

You cannot believe your eyes. Not at all.
