Chapter 12: Unplanned Bonding

Chapter 12

Haruka's POV*

"No, miss chef... I loved it." I said in my thoughts only. I would really never have the guts to say those group of words infront of her. I'll only feel embarrassment.

I simply said. "Of course."

She looked at me once more with a bright smile following and said, "Glad to hear that, Haru-kun."

Most of us, the group of friends I'm blessed to have always calls me with 'Haru-Haru' or 'Haru-chan/kun' or even 'water-addict'.

I mean, I really don't mind of them doing that. You can even call me trash or looser, I'll still won't mind.

But when (Y/n) says my name, it just feels surreal. So different thats totally vibing me in such a strange way. Call me dramatic or weird, whatever, I'm just saying.

Am I.. falling for her-

"Haru-chan!" Nagisa suddenly ripped my thoughts off like a sharped silver knife and called out my name from my back. Making my slightly jump on my sit on the pool lanes.

Random fact, whenever I get jumpscared or just scared, I would normally jump with a bit of a frightened feeling filling my veins. But normally, my expression of stoicness remains the same. (a/n: sharE mo lAng--)

"Its time to go home now!!~ You as well, squid!" he then faces (Y/n) while back hugging me like some child saying 'Lets-play-Haru-chan!' while trying to make my ass move a single centimeter.

(Y/n) stands up from the glimpse of my eye corners, she greeted a sign of farewell then she walked away, disappearing from my sight as Nagisa pressed my back harder.

I winced in pain and purposely jumped in the pool, he was still on my back.

We both struggle to keep ourselves composed as I try to move away to Nagisa as my chance and as he try to process in his little mind what just happened while at the same time trying to fix himself.

As he finally faced his belwildered face on me. I shrugged my shoulders and hopped out of the pool, leaving him all confused yet.. sad-looking(?).

My trail from walking stopped.

I mentally sighed and stroll back to the pool, Nagisa saw me extending my arm to him with a "here's-a-lending-hand-for-you-idiot" expression. The corners of his lips twitches into a curve and he grabbed my arm, making himself exit from the water.

But, he smirked at me with an expression I didn't dare to guess what it says. From the looks of it, whatever he was planting in his mischievious of head of his is surely going to be a plain, old bad result.

He laughs like one of those evil, spicy villains in Avengers. I'm pretty sure that you ou already know who I'm referring to.

Then he drags me back into the pool with the same mischievious grin on his mouth with slight joyfulness showing. "Ha-ha! Haru-chan fell for it!!"

He chuckles in the water as I flip my wet hair for to see what the flip was happening. (a/n: i flip my hair back and forth i flip my hair back and fo-)

I was about to grew unto him with pure annoyance with a nasty verge of feeling but, seeing him smile and laugh like that made feel like an older brother of his, just sacrificing happiness for his little one.

It made me just, smile instead.

2nd Person's POV*

"Want to have a mother-daughter bonding, kiddo?" your mother asks with an excited smile fixed, sticked on her lips.

It was early in the morning, only six-zero-four in the freaking morning. Plus, its a free saturday, why did it have to start it like this on you?

You simply and lazily hummed as you scratch gently your tingly cheeks, causing it to grew red in color. Still in your dreamland, you had no entirely idea what your mother questioned you.

Smell of beans and cocoa replaced the quiet, cold air. You sniffed, there was this smell telling you that your mother just poured her expression like hot boiling water into disatisfaction expression.

A feeling of someone glaring at you made your eyes flew open, finally.

"Y-Yes?" you coughed up, snapping your sleepy head back into reality. Your blurry vision found a figure, as it clears, you saw your mother's expression changing into the same excited smile like a mere second ago.

She slides a hot coffee on the wooden dining table, it stopped sliding as it slowly touched the corners of your arms, the feeling of heat made you feel more intensely awake.

You were bowing your hand earlier with arms tied into a somewhat knot for it to be like a pillow.

"We're going to.. the mall today, (Y/n)-sweetheart!" your mother cheers with joy.

Lifting a brow, you belwilderely shotted back a face. "Why..??" you ask, so randomly in the morning, going to the mall? Doesn't malls open at around like.. nine or ten in the morning?

The clever little thought of yours made you sigh, the sign of aging on your mother has officially been released and rather, exposed.

You got up from your chair with your fingers wrapped like vines on the handle of the small-lavender colored hot cup.

Then you turn your bare feet around, walking towards the staircase, going up in your bedroom.

Your mother's expression turned into a somewhat mixed happy-sad-regret, looking face as she stares at your back going up. "S-Sweetheart!! Wh-Where are you going?-"

"Mom." you snapped at her. The air swiftly going silent as you paused your trail of walking from going, you felt your mom's expression.. frowned.

You didn't move. Not a single particular inch. "Malls opens at nine, mom. I'm going to my room." you continued your path with a yawn of desperation on sleeping into your dreamland again.

Silence filled the air until you heard your mother mutter something unaudibly heard, but your ears somewhat heard it.

"But I wanted for us to bond for this day... to a restaurant for breakfast.. malls, shopping.. games...."

Your lips twitches into a smile. You ran back to the lanes of the staircase, close enough for your mother to hear you shout: "I'm going to get ready now mom!!"
