✧ SYNOPSIS ♡ Y/N is tasked with covering 'Cha Cha Cha' as a Eurovision bit which ends up leading to him confessing to her.

    IT WAS THE day after the Grand Finals and Y/N was packing up her suitcase ahead of time since they had a flight the next day, well next morning. Her head was still trying to wrap around the night before; they didn't do too badly, being in the top twelve, but it's not themself that they thought about. Jere came second and she could tell that he was upset about it for a while.

    She felt bad that he was so sad but they were beyond proud of him. The girl finished packing right as she heard a knock of the hotel door. She furrowed her brows for a few seconds before going to open it, revealing a comfortable looking Jere. She was surprised to see him as she thought he would have an interview or something before he left, the male having a flight in a couple of hours.

    "Hey, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for your flight?" They'd felt happy to see him but knew that there had to have been a reason for the visit.

    "Well, I thought that I'd come keep my promise from last night." He could not help the laughter that escaped as he explained himself.

    It took a couple of seconds for Y/N to even understand, thinking she heard him wrong or something. Their conversations were filled with whatever Finnish and English the two of them knew, which made things interesting, but they managed well. It was definitely fun to be in a room with them.

    She then remembered the promise in question and gave a laugh of her own. "You can come in."

    She stepped out of the way so that Jere would be able to enter the room, closing the door behind them. They tied their hair back into a ponytail before going to move their suitcase off the bed in case he wanted to sit or something.

    The girl moved her head sideways a bit when she noticed the bag that he had in his hands. She went to question him about it and he realized what she was looking at.

    "Oh, I wanted to be as true to the song and you as possible. Speaking of, I need you to close your eyes and sit somewhere." They  were confused but shrugged it off, doing what he said.

        The H/C haired girl went to sit on the hotel room bed, closing their eyes. She could hear him doing something in the bathroom for a minute or two before coming out, a giggle or two escaping, which almost made them do the same.

    Jere sat his phone down on a nearby table and was finally ready. "Open your eyes," he spoke, almost breaking into laughter.

    He had planned his performance to be lighthearted and different, something to make Y/N smile before he told her the thing that he wanted to, it being important.

    The girl opened her eyes and immediately put her hand over her mouth, trying not to laugh. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of Jere wearing a wig her hair color and an outfit with the colors of her staging. It was the best and funniest thing they had seen in days.

    He started the instrumental version of their song and started the performance off with a bang. He started copying some of her dance moves and Y/N had to stop themself from reacting. He continued, missing a couple of words due to feeling stupid wearing what he was, but acted like nothing happened. He wasn't fluent in English by any means but he had help with memorizing the words.

    Honestly, she was proud of him, but didn't say anything until he was finished. The Finn did her ending pose before bowing. He stood straight and watched as Y/N clapped and laughed, not being able to stop. Her laughter was contagious and earned a smile from him.

    "J, that was the best thing I've ever seen. What the hell are you wearing though? If you wanted to dress like me, I could have let you borrow some stuff." Her words were teasing and playful but she really did think that he did great, and it definitely cheered her up from her sadness about leaving.

    "Seriously though, that was amazing. You pulled it off and your English was great." He almost blushed at her compliment.

    He went to stand in front of them, taking their hands in his. "I didn't just come here to make you laugh. I know that you're sad about having to leave, though. You helped me and cheered me up last night so I did want to do the same. There was another reason though."

    He stopped to take a deep breath. He was feeling slightly anxious about how they would react but went through with it. "Y/N, I wanted to tell you something. From the minute I met you, I wanted to be friends with you and when I did, I wanted to be around you more and more. From then on, I started having feelings for you."

    "It may be bad timing since I'm leaving tonight and you're leaving tomorrow, but I like you more than a friendly way. We may be apart for a while but I was wondering if the next time we see each, would you like to go on a date with me?" He soon continued.

    The L/N could feel her heart beat faster at his confession but quickly came to her senses. "Jere, I feel the same way, and I'd love to go on a date with you. Looks like I'll have to come to Finland soon."

    "I guess it does," he agreed before pulling the girl into a hug.

    After a minute, the two pulled away. The two hung out in Y/N's room until Jere had to go back to his room to finish packing his things. It was a sad moment but the two promised to visit each other as soon as they could.
